WTF? Man Goes On Crime Spree, Commits 11 Felonies Within 9-Hour Period [Video]

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Metro police say they've never encountered a man quite like William Todd, who they say in just nine hours managed to wreak havoc on Nashville.

"He was just on a terror. I've never seen anything like this before," said Sgt. Tony Blackburn.

Police said Todd traveled to Nashville on a Greyhound bus. During his nine-hour layover, officers said he committed more than 10 felonies.

Officers said Todd broke into the Slaughterhouse and stole a Taser, revolver and shotgun. Then, they said he shot the business up, stole a T-shirt and set the business on fire.

Police said Todd then found four people leaving a local bar. He held them at gunpoint, tased one, pistol whipped another, then took off with their cash and credit cards.

Five minutes later investigators said Todd carjacked a cab at gunpoint, then headed off to commit fraud, and used his newly acquired stolen credit cards to buy food.

"He was able to find the Walmart on Nolensville. He goes there and purchased $199 worth of items," said Blackburn.

Next stop: Hotel Indigo at 6 a.m.

Police said Todd broke into a law office there, ransacked the business then defecated on a desk, smearing feces on some of the framed law degrees.

He then knocked on several hotel room doors pretending to be a female housekeeper.

In one case, police said Todd stole $600 from a Canadian couple at gunpoint, crying the whole time.

Before taking off in his stolen cab once again, officers said Todd opted for a new look.

"We have him on video leaving the hotel with a shaved head," said Blackburn.

At 9 a.m., police said Todd crashed the stolen cab into a parking garage.

At 11:30 a.m., he hailed a new one and headed to Opryland, then held the cab driver at knifepoint.

Police finally caught up with Todd at noon. They said he was hiding on top of Opryland, submerged in a water-cooling vat with water up to his nose.

It was just a quick nine-hour pit stop in Nashville, but now Todd won't be headed home any time soon.

"He rode the Greyhound bus and had a layover, then left in blue lights. There definitely could be more charges. We hope that there are no more victims," said Blackburn.

Todd is now facing 11 felony charges. Officers said he's also wanted out of Kentucky.

Young Buck's SUV Hit By 11 Bullets In Drive-By Shooting. Female Passenger Shot In The Shoulder

Former G-Unit member Young Buck was the intended victim of a drive-by shooting this morning in Nashville, Tennessee.

WSMV is reporting that at 3:30 this morning someone inside a white Chevrolet Tahoe opened fire on Buck's SUV, spraying it with bullets. Buck wasn't hit but a female passenger was shot once in the shoulder.

The female passenger was treated at a local hospital and released.

Lil Wayne Ties Record With 11 Songs On Billboard Hot 100 At Same Time

The news keeps getting better and better for Lil Wayne. Not only does he grab the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, eight songs from 'Tha Carter IV' debut on the Hot 100 chart.

Those eight songs combined with three previous titles already on the chart give Weezy a record tying eleven songs on Billboard's Hot 100 at the same time.

Wayne tied David Cook and Taylor Swift for "the most simultaneously-charting songs by a soloist in the list's 53-year history" according to Billboard.

The Beatles hold the overall record with 14 songs charting at the same time.

Former Bart Cop, Johannes Mehserle Who Killed Oscar Grant To Be Freed After Only 11 Months In Jail

A former San Francisco Bay area transit officer convicted of fatally shooting an unarmed black man is getting released from jail after serving only 11 months of a two-year sentence.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry ruled yesterday (June 10) that with good-conduct credits and time served, Johannes Mehserle has to be released Monday.

Mehserle shot 22-year old Oscar Grant once in the back as he lay face down on an Oakland train station platform New Years's 2009. Grant was initially pulled off the train for allegedly getting into a fight.

Videotape of the incident, which was caught on camera by train passengers outraged the Oakland community.

Mehserle would later claim at his trial that he mistook his handgun for his taser.

He received two year sentence for involuntary manslaughter after juros ruled that he didn't intend to kill bell, but was negligent in the way he handled the situation.

News of his pending release already has a lot of people upset and protests are already planned in Oakland and Los Angeles.

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan said city officials are ready in case things get out of hand.

“Although we expect peaceful gatherings, we do not anticipate nor will we tolerate vandalism or violence. The Oakland Police Department is prepared to respond if personal safety or property are at risk," Quan said in a statement.

Eminem lost a best friend and rap lost a great entertainer on this day in 2006 when rapper Proof of D12 was shot and killed at a Detroit club at the age of 32.

Proof, real name DeShaun Dupree Holton will always be remembered as being instrumental in forming D12 as well as a great freestyle battle rapper, having particpated in numerous competitions in Detroit and the Blaze battle.

Eminem says his friend was the best freestyle rapper he's ever seen.

"Everything back then was all about battling if you wanted to make a name for yourself," Eminem told Red Bull a few months ago talking about the Detroit battle scene he and Proof came up in. "There were battles every couple of months where anybody trying to make a name for themselves would come out.

I don't know who the greatest freestyler in the world is today, but I know that the greatest freestyler I've ever seen in my life is Proof," Eminem continued. "He might use one line in a sixty second battle that was something that he had that was premeditated, but everything else would be spontaneous. I've never seen anybody be able to have that kind of gift and ability to do that."

Proof's mom Pepper Holton, formed The Proof Foundation to keep his name and memory alive. Tonight they will hold a candlelight vigil and tribute at the Shelter in Detroit.

Rihanna's New "S&M" Video Banned In 11 Countries, Restricted By BBC Radio One & Youtube

Rihanna's new video for "S&M" is causing quite a stir.

UK's Daily Mirror is reporting that the clip has already been banned in 11 countries, Youtube has tagged it as "age-restricted" content, meaning you have to verify that you're over 18 to watch it. MTV are said to be considering re-editing it to make it more tame for daytime viewers. And BBC Radio One won't play the track before 7pm.

So what's all the fuss about?

“S&M is not about sex, well it’s about metaphorical sex," Rihanna said. "The video has lots of whips, chains, dominatrix leather, latex…”

Ok, that pretty much explains it, Rihanna likes it kinky, but this video pushes the envelope a little too much for many.

Nevertheless, Riri loves the video and took to Twitter to talk about it and urge fans to watch it on RihannaNow.com instead of Youtube.

T.I. Tweets Goodbye To His Fans. Checks Into Prison To Begin His 11 Month Sentence

T.I. has begun his 11 month sentence at a minimum-security federal prison in Forrest City, Arkansas. Tip's lawyer Steve Sadow confirmed to Eonline that he turned himself in this morning. "I can confirm he is in prison. He reported before the due time, which I think was noon," Sadow said. Before turning himself in Tip tweeted his fans thanking them for continuing to support him.

Tip finished his next album, 'No Mercy' and shot a video for it's next single "Get Back Up", witch features singer Chris Brown. The album is scheduled for release December 7.

T.I.'s Probation Revoked, Rapper Ordered Back To Jail For 11 Months

A federal judge ordered the Atlanta native back to prison for 11 months after revoking his probation. The multi-platinum rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., appeared in court Friday in Atlanta following his arrest last month in Los Angeles on suspicion of drug possession. He was on probation after serving 10 months behind bars on federal weapons charges. T.I., 29, begged the judge not to send him back to prison, saying he needed to get help for drug addiction. He told the judge he "screwed up" and pleaded for mercy. U.S. attorney spokesman Patrick Crosby said Harris will voluntarily surrender. The action comes just days after th rap star helped police talk a man out of jumping from a 22-story building n downtown Atlanta. Officer James Polite says the hip-hop star joined the crowd outside the office building Wednesday and told officers he wanted to help. Video After The Jump (CNN) -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has condemned the planned burning of Qurans on the anniversary of the 2001 attacks on the United States as criticism mounts from Muslims around the world. Speaking Tuesday at an iftar meal in Washington to celebrate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Clinton said she welcomed the concerns. "I am heartened by the clear, unequivocal condemnation of this disrespectful, disgraceful act that has come from American religious leaders of all faiths ... as well as secular U.S. leaders and opinion makers," she said. On Wednesday the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan also condemned the Florida church's plan to burn the Quran, the Muslim holy book, as "disrespectful, intolerant and divisive," in a statement. The statement comes days after the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, Gen. David Petraeus, warned that the plan could put U.S. troops' lives at risk. The pastor of the church, Terry Jones, told CNN Tuesday his flock was taking the warning seriously but had not decided to cancel the event, planned for September 11. Jones, pastor of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, told CNN's "American Morning:"We have firmly made up our mind, but at the same time, we are definitely praying about it." Later Tuesday, Jones had a response to the statement from Petraeus. "The general needs to point his finger to radical Islam and tell them to shut up, tell them to stop, tell them that we will not bow our knees to them," Jones said on CNN's "AC360." "We are burning the book," Jones said. "We are not killing someone. We are not murdering people." The planned action has drawn sharp criticism from Muslims around the world and from U.S. officials. The U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Tuesday issued a statement saying the U.S. government "in no way condones such acts of disrespect against the religion of Islam, and is deeply concerned about deliberate attempts to offend members of religious or ethnic groups." It emphasized that it strongly condemned "the offensive messages, which are contrary to U.S. government policy and deeply offensive to Muslims especially during the month of Ramadan." With about 120,000 U.S. and NATO-led troops still battling al Qaeda and its allies in the Islamic fundamentalist Taliban movement, Petraeus warned that burning Qurans "is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems -- not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community." Petraeus said he was concerned about the political repercussions of the church's plan. "Even the rumor that it might take place has sparked demonstrations such as the one that took place in Kabul yesterday," he said. "Were the actual burning to take place, the safety of our soldiers and civilians would be put in jeopardy and accomplishment of the mission would be made more difficult." Thousands of Indonesians gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Sunday to protest the planned Quran burning. "The burning is not only an insult to the holy Quran, but an insult to Islam and Muslims around the world," said Muhammad Ismail, a spokesman for the hard-line Indonesian Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir. Jones said his congregation was aware that the action was offensive. "We realize that this action would indeed offend people, offend the Muslims. I am offended when they burn the flag. I am offended when they burn the Bible. But we feel that the message that we are trying to send is much more important than people being offended." Jones said Muslims are welcomed in the United States, if they observe the Constitution and don't try to impose Sharia law, or Muslim law. The message, he said, is directed toward the "radical element of Islam." "Our message is very clear," he said. "It is not to the moderate Muslim. Our message is not a message of hate. Our message is a message of warning to the radical element of Islam, and I think what we see right now around the globe provides exactly what we're talking about," he said. The center says it was founded in 1986 as a "total concept church for the rich, the poor, the young and the old." Its purpose is to "stand up for righteousness and for the truth of the Bible." It stresses that "Christians must return to the truth and stop hiding." "We need to speak up against sin and call the people to repentance. Abortion is murder. Homosexuality is sin. We need to call these things what they are and bring the world the true message: that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life," it says on the church's website. It also emphasizes its dislike of Islam, and on its website, it blog posts an item called "Ten Reasons to Burn a Koran. "Any religion which would profess anything other than this truth is of the devil. This is why we also take a stand against Islam, which teaches that Jesus is not the Son of God, therefore taking away the saving power of Jesus Christ and leading people straight to Hell," the site says. Video After The Jump CINCINNATI - Police have made an arrest in a shooting involving a bow and arrow. Police arrested 57-year-old Bo Spivey from Adams County Tuesday evening. Police say he fled to Georgia where he stopped at a farm house and turned himself in. Police responded to the farm house and took Spivey into custody Tuesday evening. Spivey allegedly shot a man with a bow and arrow Tuesday morning. Police identified the victim as 50-year-old Doug Stacey. The shooting was reported to police around 7 a.m. in the 400 block of Beech Street in Elmwood Place, but officers say the victim may have been lying on his couch for hours before neighbors heard his calls for help. "I live on the second floor and I could hear him from the window where his fan is. He said he's been shot three times and for somebody to call police," said neighbor Richard Sanders to a 911 dispatcher. Police say Spivey was kicked out of a residence by Stacey who was letting him stay there. "From what we can gather, he was allowing for him to stay and then last night he asked him to leave because he was disrespecting his 11-year-old daughter," said Chief William Peskin of Elmwood Place police. Spivey allegedly came back to the residence and shot his friend three times with a bow and arrow. Police say Stacey suffered two arrow wounds to the back and one to the hand. "He was intending for the gentleman to die from what we can gather," said Chief Peskin. Stacey's sister lives nearby and rushed over to find her brother being put into an ambulance. "It was petrifying because you could see the tears in my brothers eyes and I raised my brother as my son so yeah he had me bawling. It scared me to death. I didn't know if he was going to live or not," said Sandra Charles, Doug Stacey's sister The victim was transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati and his condition has not been released. Police and relatives tell 9 News the victim has undergone surgery. Neighbors also say Spivey might have been on medications. Spivey will be extradited back to Cincinnati to face charges. WTF? Fidel Castro Claims Osama Bin Laden Is A U.S. Spy Used By George Bush To "Stir Up Fear"

Fidel Castro has said Osama bin Laden is in the pay of the CIA and was summoned up whenever George W Bush needed to scare the world "Any time Bush would stir up fear and make a big speech, bin Laden would appear threatening people with a story about what he was going to do," Mr Castro said. "Bush never lacked for bin Laden's support. He was a subordinate." Mr Castro made his remarks during a meeting with Lithuanian-born writer Daniel Estulin known for advancing conspiracy theories about world domination. He said documents posted on WikiLeaks.org, the website that released thousands of classified US documents about the war in Afghanistan, "effectively proved he was a CIA agent". However, the former Cuban president - who himself became America's enemy no.1 and survived multiple assassination attempts by the CIA - did not further elaborate.

During the meeting, Mr Estulin told Mr Castro that the real voice of bin Laden was last heard in late 2001, not long after the September 11 attacks. He said the person heard making warnings about terror attacks after that was a "bad actor". Mr Castro did take exception with one of Mr Estulin's major theses - that the human race must move to another habitable planet or face extinction. The 84-year-old revolutionary said it would be better to fix things on Earth then abandon the planet altogether. "Humanity ought to take care of itself if it wants to live thousands more years," Mr Castro told the writer. Mr Castro stepped down due to ill health in 2006 - first temporarily, then permanently - and handed power over to his younger brother Raul. Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi & Drake To Appear On NBA2K11 Soundtrack [Full Track List Inside]

NBA2K11 is one of the most anticipated sports video games in years. The game will feature 10 different version of NBA legend Michael Jordon.

In addition, that game's creator 2KSports has put together a hot soundtrack to go along with it. Artists on the soundtrack include Ron Artest, Cassidy, Big Boi and Snoop Dogg who wrote the game's theme song.

2KSports released a statement regarding the soundtrack.

"NBA 2K is the basketball game that everyone plays, from NBA athletes to celebrities to music artists. Snoop has been a long time fan of the NBA 2K series and because music is such an integral part to the gameplay experience, it was a perfect fit for this year's title - one of the greatest rappers making an exclusive track for the greatest NBA game," said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. "With NBA 2K11 we hope to exceed expectations by featuring both an impressive array of established artists like Big Boi, Kid Cudi and Drake who definitely balance the hoop action, alongside emerging talent, such as the winners of our national MC/producer contest."

Rihanna & Alicia Keys Team Up To Help 11 Yr Old Broadway Star Stricken With Cancer Seek Bone Marrow Transplant

Shannon Tavarez was performing as the young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway when her legs mysteriously started to hurt. The pain made walking – not to mention dancing – difficult. In April came the devastating diagnosis: At age 11, she had an acute form of leukemia.

The news "really hit me hard," says Tavarez.

Her struggle also struck a chord with Alicia Keys and Rihanna. The singers, who both started their careers when they were young, decided to help get the word out that Tavarez needs a bone marrow transplant to live.

Keys says she was touched when she visited Tavarez on July 2 in the Long Island hospital where she receives daily chemotherapy treatments.

"For her, the sky is the limit, but now she's fighting for her life," the mom-to-be, who is asking fans to become donors, tells PEOPLE.

Keys hopes Tavarez and other patients like her to have the chance to "grow up to live their dreams."

Rihanna seconds that sentiment. "[Tavarez] should be performing on Broadway, but is confined to her bed, fighting for her life," Rihanna tells PEOPLE. "She needs to find a bone marrow donor to survive. I urge all my fans to register [as donors]. It's the most beautiful thing someone could do, to give the gift of life."

LAPD Makes Arrest In Case Of Serial Killer, "Grim Sleeper". Responsible For Murdering As Many As 11 Black Women Over 2 Decades [2 Videos]

(CNN) -- Authorities said Wednesday they have arrested a suspect in the Grim Sleeper serial killer case and will charge him with 10 counts of murder.

Lonnie David Franklin Jr., 57, faces an additional count of attempted murder, officials said.

Nicknamed for taking long breaks between attacks, the killer is believed responsible for at least 11 deaths since 1985 in south Los Angeles. The killer targeted black women, some working as prostitutes, using the same small caliber weapon

Margaret Prescod, who founded the Black Coalition Fighting Black Serial Murders and worked heavily with the families of the victims in the case, told CNN she spoke with the Grim Sleeper Task Force who informed her of the arrest Wednesday.

Prescod said Det. Dennis Kilcoyne, head of the task force, told her that unlike a previous arrest in the case that turned out to be wrong, he was sure they had gotten their man this time.

"He told me that what they have is very solid," Prescod said.

Prescod said she is "cautiously optimistic" about the development because there was an arrest years ago in the case, which police touted as solidly based on ballistics evidence, but turned out to be false.

If Franklin turns out to be the Grim Sleeper, "it would be a huge relief, not only for the [victims' families], but for the entire community that remained at threat," Prescod said.

"We are mortified that it has taken this long to make an arrest but nevertheless, one is always glad when there is a breakthrough and we can only hope right now that it is a solid breakthrough."

Prescod told CNN she met with victims' family members, who had many questions about the arrest.

Family members were told not to give any details about the case or speak to the media until officials hold a press conference Thursday, she said.

Overall, Prescod said, there was a feeling of relief among the relatives of the serial killer's victims.

During a quick news conference near the suspect's home, Capt. Kevin McClure with LAPD Robbery Homicide said family members had been briefed on the case.

McClure also said Franklin would be arraigned in court Thursday morning.

District Attorney Steve Cooley praised the commitment of the LAPD in solving this multidecade case.

"This was accomplished by the LAPD's hard work with great assistance from the California Department of Justice Division of Law Enforcement personnel," Cooley said.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa echoed Cooley's statement.

"There was a lot of painstaking work that went into this and we are very proud of the work our officers have done in making this happen," Villaraigosa said.

Prescod told CNN she had spoken with several of the victims' families, some of whom are members of her coalition, to tell them about the news.

She said family members were screaming and shouting on the phone when she told them the news, elated that perhaps they could find closure in the deaths of their loved ones.

Aerial footage on Wednesday showed police searching cars in the garage of the suspect's home in south Los Angeles -- not far from the corridor where the victims' bodies were dumped.

"That is indeed very close along the corridor that these murders happened," Prescod said of the location. "So it's not surprising, if this is the guy, that it would be someone who is from the neighborhood, familiar with the area."

Prescod said much of her organization's efforts focused on the area where Franklin was arrested.

"We went around there, going door-to-door to make sure people knew about the murders. At the time that we did that, most of the people hadn't even heard about the murders and people were concerned because they felt -- this is happening and we frankly don't know anything about it."

Before the arrest, officials struggled to find new leads partially because the changing makeup of the neighborhood where the crimes were committed made it difficult to find witnesses. The killer left behind DNA and fingerprints that police were unable to match to a name.

A 911 call made in 1987 reporting one of the murders led police to a van they believed was involved. But the trail went cold.

In May, new composite sketches of a suspect went up on billboards across Los Angeles as police intensified their hunt for the serial killer.

Mom Claims She Took Pic Of 11-Month Old Baby With Bong As A Joke. Child Welfare Services Isn't Laughing [Video}

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. - A picture of a Keystone Heights baby appearing to smoke a bong has caught the attention of the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Channel 4 was sent the photo and an image of the picture and comments about it taken from an unidentified Web site. It is not known how widely it was circulated.

The child-protection agency has launched an investigation on the 11-month-old baby's parents.

"We are alarmed that any parent would take pictures of their child next to what is obviously drug paraphernalia," said DCF spokesman John Harrell.

The 19-year-old mother talked to Channel 4 via Facebook. She said the pictures were a joke.

The message read, "If u look at the picture u can see that there is no bowl in the TABACCO (sic) pipe. And i took a pic to show one (expletive) person and it was a mistake. I would never ever ever let him get high."

DCF investigators said they have already been to the home twice.

"We would never leave a child in a home where there are concerns about whether or not the child is safe," Harrell said.

The mother told Channel 4 she has a drug evaluation Friday and the boy will be checked by a pediatrician. DCF said she could face serious charges if drugs were used by or around the baby.

In another message, the mother said she would never do anything to harm her child.

It read, "Do you realize how serious this is? i can go to jail and he can be taken away from me. WHY would you do something so (expletive) stupid? i know what i did was stupid but i would NEVER put by baby in harm. im (sic) so nice to everyone idk (I don't know) why you would do this to me."

No one has been charged.
