About Ha Phuong & Ha Phuong Foundation

Ha Phuong, a petite dynamo with a huge heart and a big name in her native Vietnam is now an artist in residence, deeply entrenched New Yorker. Living here, she is more determined than ever to help make the world a better place, inspired by her upbringing in Vietnam as well as her love for her daughters, and for all people. “HP,” as she is known to her friends, is an accomplished actress, singer and now movie producer: working on her feature film, a dramatic thriller in which she stars, is called Finding Julia. Always eager to develop further, Ha Phuong expanded her repertoire to include acting, studying with prominent teachers. In New York Ha Phuong continues to pursue her own artistic endeavors, but is equally famous for her deep commitment to her charitable work. Since 2008, her charitable Ha Phuong Foundation is one of the largest of its kind with a $1 Million seed money donation and is the culmination of Ha Phuong’s passion for music and her fierce devotion to supporting children’s causes. Her inaugural project to build a multi-media arts center partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove has already been completed. In addition, she assists in the Vietnam Relief Effort, a non-profit organization created by her husband, Chinh Chu, and his sister. The Vietnam Relief Effort aids in school buildings, funding surgeries for war veterans and disable people; and bringing Vietnamese doctors to the U.S. for training. She has done so much work that in 2016, Phuong was named a “Top Donor to UNICEF.” In an extraordinary demonstration of her commitment to helping others, Ha Phuong pledged 100% of her future earnings from her music and acting career to the Foundation. Trouble Gets His Own Billboard In Atlanta

Cam Kirk has put another local Atlanta star in the sky. Trouble is the latest regional phenomenon to get his own billboard thanks to the exquisite photographer Cam Kirk.

Trouble is the latest regional phenomenon to get his own billboard thanks to the exquisite photographer Cam Kirk.

The billboard is on the corner of Memorial and Moreland Ave. right now if you’re in ATL.

It’s the second billboard Cam has thrown up after Bankroll Fresh was memorialized with one on the corner of 10th Street and Northside Drive earlier this year.

To people across the country, it might be a little confusing. Trouble and Bankroll Fresh aren’t exactly national superstars, but within the city of Atlanta, they are.

As Cam Kirk told Pigeons & Planes in an April interview, “A lot of people don’t see it like this, but to us here in Atlanta, Bankroll Fresh is an icon.”

The billboards are part of Kirk’s Day 4 exhibit.

Initially funded in part by Atlanta producers like Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital, and Southside.

In a sense, these billboards indicate the beliefs of locals; yes, these are stars, no matter the fact that national media widely ignore them.

The people of Atlanta know it, and that’s all that matters.

The billboards don’t need to be all over the country, just high in the air in the city that cares for the artist displayed on them.

Seeing these acknowledgments gives citizens something to be proud of.

The timing couldn’t be any better because 2016 has been Skoob’s year.

His Skoobzilla mixtape from earlier this year is still as excellent of a front-to-back play as it was when it dropped.

Trouble plans on dropping new music soon.

Make sure to follow Trouble and Cam Kirk On Twitter for future updates.

HipHopWired Reports The Black Eyed Peas are riding high after breaking the Billboard record for longest act on the top 100 with their successful singles, “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow.” Unfortunately for the chart topping group, someone's stepped up to shoot them down. A former employee on the Peas' concert tour is suing the band for an undisclosed amount of damages. Winter Sumpter claims that she was severely injured during band's 2007 “Black Blue & You” Tour. During the band's Burbank, California performance, Sumpter says she fell through a flight of stairs when “one of the treads became detached.” In her court claim she says she suffered “severe and permanent injuries” and was left with “mental, physical, nervous pain and suffering.” Of course she's pointing the finger at the Peas for her clumsiness but she's not stopping there. She is also asking for a handout from their tour manager, and other concert officials. You know what they say; more money, more problems. Despite the shady lawsuit, the Peas can crown themselves victorious overseas after a ban on one of their concerts was lifted. The band made headlines after Malaysian officials banned Muslim citizens from attending their upcoming concert in the country. Now however, that ban has been lifted and all citizens of Malaysia are free to attend at their will. The ban was put in place because the concert is sponsored by the Irish beer company, Guinness. Muslims are denounced from using alcohol as part of their Islamic law. Muslim officials have yet to provide a reason why the ban was lifted but they are imposing strict rules. Guinness will not be allowed to sell their product at the concert or use its logo for publicity. The concert is part of the beer company's 250th anniversary.
