WASHINGTON (AP) — A retired New York Police Department officer was sentenced on Thursday to a record-setting 10 years in prison for attacking the U.S. Capitol & using a metal flagpole to assault 1 of the police officers trying to hold off a mob of Donald Trump supporters.

Thomas Webster’s prison sentence is the longest so far among roughly 250 people who have been punished for their conduct during the riot on Jan. 6, 2021. The previous longest was shared by 2 other rioters, who were sentenced separately to 7 years & 3 months in prison.

Webster, a 20-year NYPD veteran, was the first Capitol riot defendant to be tried on an assault charge & the first to present a self-defense argument. A jury rejected Webster’s claim that he was defending himself when he tackled Metropolitan Police Department officer Noah Rathbun & grabbed his gas mask outside the Capitol on Jan. 6.

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Webster, 56, to 10 years in prison plus three years of supervised release. He allowed Webster to report to prison at a date to be determined instead of immediately ordering him into custody.

“Mr. Webster, I don’t think you’re a bad person,” the judge said. “I think you were caught up in a moment. But as you know, even getting caught up in a moment has consequences.”

“The other victim was democracy, and that is not something that can be taken lightly,” Mehta added.

DJ Necterr recalls a few years back DJing Fader Fort with The Games artist Marcus Black. Just years later he is coming into his own shoes and booking his own shows in Austin Texas. With the current release of the new single "On The Way" with Tory Lanez and Tasman Holloway his buzz is truly growing. Just half a year ago DJ Necterr wasn't on any ones radar. Now half a year later he has a major part in one of the hottest songs in the country. This "On The Way" single is getting played on multiple radio stations and currently being played on every media out let there is. With this recent success, "what is next," we ask? He tells us, "he took a break from the night life to prepare for Austin Texas." The biggest week in music and DJ Necterr plans to shine a light with his new single. He tells us, "him self and Tasman Holloway are really here to prove a point and show the world they have next." Is DJ Necterr and Tasman Holloway the black version of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis? I am not at all what certain ex-band members are trying to paint me as, I am however a
respectable, mature, proud, bisexual man.”

Omarion, who was in Japan at the time immediately denied being responsible for the press release, he tweeted his 350,000 twitter followers assuring them the press release was fake.

Soon afterwards, O's PR team sent out an official press release.

"The previously released statement regarding Omarion is false and was generated for negative publicity by an unknown person. Omarion will not contribute to anything negative said or done against him. Omarion respects all of his fans, no matter religion, sexuality, or race."

The rumors got so out of hand, Omarion became a trending topic on Twitter. Frustrated, he called into Hot 97 from Japan to speak with Funkmaster Flex and once and for all clear up the rumors.

"First and foremost let me say I did not release that statement. Whatever people like is their business, but I'm not gay or bisexual, I love women and that's just what it is." Omarion told Flex.
