Young Money’s Tyga recently caught up with Lil Wayne in jail and revealed that the multiplatinum superstar is doing well as he rides out his one-year prison sentence at Rikers Island in New York. “It was crazy to see him in there in that type of situation, but he’s doing good,” Tyga told MTV News on Tuesday. “He’s holding his head up.”

Tyga caught up with the Young Money boss a few weeks ago. “He was basically just talking about his whole experience in there, everything that’s going on,” Tyga said. Weezy, who’s known for his superhuman work ethic and prolific musical output, is apparently focusing his energy on the new surroundings. “He knew everything about everything in there, so I was just basically listening to what he had to say.”

Even though Lil Wayne keeps a blog that he occasionally updates and a Twitter page that is now maintained by his protege Lil Twist, the hip-hop megastar isn’t too concerned about keeping up with the outside world. “He really didn’t want to talk about anything really on the outside going on,” Tyga said.

Tyga visited Wayne solo, but he said the Young Money and Cash Money family strives to get face time with Weezy whenever possible. “We all go at separate times … because he only gets a certain amount of visits.”

While Tyga’s visit was just to show love to a good friend, he wasn’t able to slip into the facility incognito. “I’m just going there … just getting ready, like, to see him … and then it’s, like, all these girls taking pictures with me, all these mamas up there,” Tyga laughed. “That was crazy, though, but he’s doing good.”

Somewhere in Philly, Hank Baskett is looking at his wife Kendra Wilkinson asking WTF?

TMZ is reporting that the soon to be released sex tape 'Kendra Exposed' is going to do blockbuster sales numbers.

The company releasing the tape, Vivid Entertainment is reporting pre-orders for the tape made when Kendra was 18 have gone through the roof. Making it the biggest selling sex tape in Vivid's history, topping even Kim Kardashian's.

In recent weeks, lawyers for Kendra, the former Playboy Playmate and 'Girls Next Door Star' have been scrambling to stop the release of the tape. Partly due to fears it could hurt Kendra's marriage to Philadelphia Eagles player Hank Baskett.

But those attempts have failed miserably.

“Me and Chris, basically, we met a couple of years ago,” Tyga explained in L.A. on Tuesday about the tape. “We had mutual friends. I always seen him come in the studio when he was with Wayne. It’s crazy, because I never asked him for a track. I never wanted to press up on him like that. One day, he hit me up. He was like, ‘Yo, man, let’s do some songs.’ So I came to the studio. The first two songs you saw videos for, ‘Holla at Me’ and ‘All the Girls Love,’ them two songs was like the first time we ever recorded. When we recorded them songs, he was like, ‘Let’s do a mixtape.’ It’s crazy, ’cause the mixtape, we did in a whole week. I flew out to VA, and we knocked out the whole mixtape.

“Chris works fast,” he continued. “Me — I ain’t gonna lie — I write slow. I’m real picky. He was knocking the hooks out real quick, I was knocking out the verses. We knocked out, like, three songs a day.”

“Fan of a Fan is basically our dedication back to the fans,” Tyga explained. “I feel like a lot of people is not doing it for their core audience. These are the people that come to our shows, these are the people that call these radio stations and fight for us all day. So why not give them something for free?”

"Deuces," it’s about you getting rid of this girl. You try to make it work, but you gotta move on,” Tyga explained. “So you basically put up one finger, then another and say, ‘Deuces.’ ‘Like a Virgin Again,’ that’s one of them old classic 2002 R&B songs. Like holding hands at the dance. That song’s about making a girl feel special, ’cause that’s what all girls want, of course. Telling her like, ‘If you are a virgin or you’re not a virgin, I’mma make you feel like one again.’ ‘What They Want’ is the first song on the mixtape. It’s introducing us together as a duo. It’s what the fans want. ‘48 Bar Rap,’ that’s Chris rappin’. Showing his rap skills.

“Chris is a certified rapper,” Tyga added. “That’s straight from Tyga at Young Money. Of course he’s a great singer, but he does his little rap thing too.” Tyga is working on his next album, Careless World, and said to look out for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV “soon.”

“I’m almost finished with my Back 2 Guddaville mixtape and the first single ‘Willy Wonka’ is killing up top radio right now.” Gudda tells VIBE of his Lil Wayne featured track. “I’ve already worked with Waka Flocka, Beanie Sigel and I just did a joint with Brisco. You’re going to see me on a lot collabs very soon. I’m hoping to have my album out at the beginning of next year.”

Although Weezy’s absence can certainly be felt amongst the Young Money crew, Gudda doesn’t feel any added pressure to keep the label afloat. With Drake and Nicki Minaj on the verge of releasing debut albums, the future only looks bright for the entire camp.

“We’ve got a solid line up, Nicki’s killing it, Drake’s killing it… I think we’re going to hold up strong. Wayne hears about everybody’s progress and all the moves we’re making. He’s real happy and excited about everything.”

Gudda’s next mixtape, Back 2 Guddaville, is set to be released later this month and will feature a collaboration with Waka Flocka Flame called'' Lock My CEO Up” that the Third Ward native believes will be the biggest of his career. Gudda tells VIBE that he continues to stay in close contact with Wayne despite his incarceration.

“I talk to Wayne probably about two to three times a week. I let him know about everything that I’ve been recording and basically, he just tells me to keep going. Wayne is behind me 100 percent. He calls me with a lot of ideas and I execute them. I just go in the studio, knock it out.”

Rap fans loves to debate who the best rapper dead or alive is. Is it Biggie, Pac, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Eminem? The list goes on and on and there are solid arguments to be made for almost all.

However, Queens MC Nas says "there is no best or greatest mc."

In an interview with Vibe, Nas breaks down his reasoning.

"It makes sense temporarily when you’re striving to be number one. It makes sense for [the fans] to see that, but you have a long run to be the greatest. To me, people already felt like they were [the greatest] in more ways than they should have and I think that hurt them. There is no greatest of all time. We won’t know that until we’re 60 years old. I think there will be like four to five great ones at the end of the day, but there will be none that’s greater than the other. Impossible."

"Jay-Z is showing you: I won’t be stopped ever. And that’s motivation for everyone else."
I would like to think I [fall in the four or five greatest] ’cause Biggie and Pac did it and they died young. It’s hard to jump up in that category, though. You might look back and say that ODB was the best because he expresses something that you might find [interesting] 20 years later. You might find something that you never thought at this time was incredible
."

Prodigy of Mobb Deep made a very similar argument months ago in a letter from prison when he wrote "there are a lot of greats, it would be unfair to single out 1 as the greatest."

Instead of listing a top 5 best rappers, Prodigy listed a top 40 that had no significance in the order. Prodigy's handwritten list lumps in groups, duos and solo MCs all together. Check it out below.

So are they right? Is it impossible to have a definitive top 5 Greatest Rappers Ever?

Video After The Jump

One week ago, seven days before what would have been the Notorious B.I.G.'s 38th birthday (May 21), former Los Angeles police officer David Mack, who many allege helped orchestrate the hit that killed one of hip-hop's most beloved MCs, was released from prison.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons' records, Mack became a free man on May 14.

Mack was known for his ties to Death Row Records and the Bloods gang; a detective investigating the Biggie murder case also discovered Mack owned a car similar to the one used on the hit against the Brooklyn MC, though police did not follow the lead.

Many friends, family members and fans of Biggie are still flabbergasted at what they believe is a lack of effort in seeking justice for the slain rap superstar.

"I'm definitely upset about it," Lil' Cease told MTV News this week. "I think it's something they should look into, especially when you see all these other things going on and you see how they pursue other cases. It just seems like when it came to Biggie, it was, 'Oh, another rapper, another hoodlum, another gangster is dead.' Same thing with 2Pac. These were two of the most influential figures in hip-hop, and you're not finding these people's murderers? Or not even making a real attempt to? It upsets you, 'cause they're treating them like nobodies but they had a big influence in the game and people look up to them. No matter what they rap about or what they'd been through, they were still human beings at the time."

A Los Angeles Police Department representative told MTV News the case is still ongoing, but a spokesperson had no comment on the investigation.

Retired LAPD detective Russell Poole told MTV News in March that he continues to believe that Mack, other rogue officers including Rafael Perez, and former Death Row Records head Suge Knight conspired together to kill the Notorious B.I.G.

Poole said the 2005 mistrial due to police withholding evidence (the same judge later declared another mistrial, accusing Biggie's family of failing to disclose information they obtained) and subsequent shelving of the trial has made it increasingly difficult for the murderer to be found.

At press time, the case still has yet to receive a new date.

"Unless somebody on the inside fingers Suge Knight and these officers that I believe are involved, it's gonna be very, very hard for them to actually proceed with a criminal court case, from a logical standpoint," Poole told MTV News. "The fact of the matter is, the evidence was there. I've had less evidence on cases where I've sent people to prison for the rest of their lives. This case had a lot of evidence to it. Start with the officers that were working off-duty for Death Row Records, they were getting paid well. That occupation, working for Death Row Records, superseded them working for LAPD as sworn, honest, police officers. And nobody has really put any emphasis on that, and that's the real story. Nobody ever investigated those officers way back then, when they were working for corrupt gangsters that were on parole and were armed. Nobody has done any real in depth investigation on that."

Poole said it was an unwritten rule that police were not allowed to work in other capacities, such as the roles many secured within Death Row's organization.

Mack and Perez, who has since changed his name to Ray Lopez, were later convicted and sentenced to prison for crimes unrelated to the Notorious B.I.G. shooting. Both men are now free after serving out their times.A third man, Amir Muhammad, who Poole and others alleged was the shooter, has never been questioned by police.

Knight was recently arrested by police in California and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, but the former mogul (his company, Death Row Records, was auctioned off) has never been connected by police to the Biggie case.

On Friday (May 21), more than 13 years since his killing, Biggie's birthday is still being celebrated. His Junior M.A.F.I.A. cohort Lil' Cease spoke to MTV News this week and explained how he thought Big would recognize his birthday this year if he were alive.

"Today, he'd probably just be with the family," Cease said. "We had our experience on the road: performing, doing shows, big parties. He definitely would have had a big party. A celebrity affair. But he also would have done something private with the M.A.F.I.A., close friends, wife. He kept it together with everybody he dealt with, and I'm sure they would have all came out and shown their love for Big and kept everything else under the carpet, whatever it was. Big had that type of heart, that everyone would wanna come out and show their love and spend that day with him."

Google Doodle’s are often a part of the Google homepage, either to celebrate a great personalities birthday or a great invention. Today’s Google Doodle though is a unique one which celebrates the 30th birthday of PAC-MAN.

What’s so unique about today’s Google Doodle? Well, you can actually play the PAC-MAN game by either using the Insert Coin button next to Google search or waiting for a few seconds. The game also has a Easter egg which is activated when you press the Insert Coin button twice in a game. Once you do that, a new character Ms. PAC-MAN will enter the game.

Another unique thing about today’s doodle is that, instead of the usual 24 hours, this doodle will be displayed to users for the next 48 hours.

However, I must warn you that keeping the Google.com page open for long can kind of annoy you since there is no stop button anywhere to close or pause the game, so make sure you go to Google to search .

Rest aside, I have always been a big PAC-MAN fan and have played the game on arcades, consoles and even on an emulator. So my hearty birthday wishes to the little guy.

The music world suffered its worst ever sales week this week since 1991, the year SoundScan started measuring over-the-counter sales.

5.3 million albums sold in the past week in the United States. The number one album by Justin Bieber was worth just over 60,000 sales, that in itself was the second lowest selling number one ever recorded.

Last week, metal band Godsmack topped the chart with 117,000 sales. As metal fans are prone to buy an album as soon as it’s out, that album dropped 63 percent to 43,000 and dropped back to no. 9.

In perspective though there wasn’t a major album released last week to entice buyers.

Other debuts included The National ‘High Violet’ at no. 3, Dead Weather ‘Sea of Cowards’ at no. 5, Charice ‘Charice’ at no. 8 and As I Lay Dying ‘Powerless Rise’ at no. 10.

Old habits apparently die hard.

The ex-wife of infamous drug kingpin Frank Lucas -- whose murderous exploits inspired the movie "American Gangster" -- has been charged with conspiring to sell two kilos of cocaine in Puerto Rico.

Julianna Farrait-Rodri guez allegedly took up her ex-hubby's role and tried to peddle the drugs "with the goal of sending them to be sold on the New York City streets while she is in comfort 2,200 miles away," said Drug Enforce ment Administration Spe cial Agent in Charge John Gilbride.

"They say life imitates art and this arrest proves the point yet again," Gil bride said.

PARTNERS IN CRIME: Julianna Farrait-Rodriguez, ex-wife of Harlem racketeer Frank "American Gangster" Lucas, in custody in Puerto Rico yesterday on charges of trying to sell cocaine to a fed informant.
Farrait-Rodriguez, 63, was busted Wednesday evening after allegedly handing over the coke to a government infor mant in exchange for $60,000, sources said.

"Apparently, she needed the money," a source said.

Court papers say the former beauty queen had been under investigation since at least February 2009, when she offered to sell the informant cocaine from a supplier in Atlanta. She was portrayed as "Eva" by Puerto Rico-born stunner Lymari Nadal in the 2007 film, which starred Denzel Washington as Lucas.

Their Spanish-language conversation, which took place in Manhattan, was secretly recorded by the informant, as was another meeting last July during which Farrait-Rodriguez allegedly said she could hook up the informant with a "cocaine transporter" in Puerto Rico.

And during a series of phone calls earlier this month, she told him to come to the Caribbean island to pick up two kilos she had waiting for him, along with eight others being held by an unidentified co-conspirator, the papers say.

After the two met inside a hotel room in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico, DEA agents conducting surveillance said they "observed Farrait-Rodriguez remove what appeared . . . to be two kilograms of cocaine from a bag." At that point, the informant "gave a pre-arranged signal" for the agents to move in and arrest her.

Farrait-Rodriguez had previously pleaded guilty in 1975 to tossing suitcases stuffed with $585,000 out a bathroom window during a drug raid on the Teaneck, NJ, home she shared with Lucas.

Yesterday, she was ordered held without bail during a court appearance in Puerto Rico.

It was unclear when she would be brought to New York to face the complaint filed against her in Manhattan federal court.

Her ex-husband -- who made millions as one of the city's biggest dealers during the heroin epidemic of the late 1960s and early '70s -- was sentenced to 70 years in the slammer after his Harlem-based "Country Boys" racket was busted, but he served only 12 years after cooperating with authorities.

"American Gangster" told the story of the improbable friendship that developed between Lucas and the cop who busted him, Richie Roberts, who was portrayed by Russell Crowe.

Lucas, now 79 and living in Newark, is wheelchair-bound and has written a memoir, "Original Gangster: The Real Life Story of One of America's Most Notorious Drug Lords," set for release next month.

"It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine. Salt-N-Peppa and Heavy D up in the limousine. Hanging pictures on my wall, every Saturday Rap Attack Mr Magic Marley Marl" -- Notorious B.I.G.

Great artists are God's gift to the world in my opinion.

On March 9, 1997 we lost one of those gifts. But not before he left us with two classic albums filled with lyrics only a genius could write.

'Ready To Die' and 'Life After Death' are in the homes and whips of every fan of hip hop, new school or old around the world.

Christopher Wallace, better known to many as Notorious B.I.G. would have been 38 years old today. Every rapper is a littler bit better having heard him spit.

One if the greatest things about Biggie was his universal flow. He may have been from from the East Coast, but everybody has a favorite Biggie joint no matter where you live.

So today, tip your hat, raise your glass or smoke one and wish The Black Frank White, Happy Birthday.
