LONDON (AP) — Police in Ireland are investigating reports that the body of a dead man was brought to a post office in an attempt to collect his pension.
The Irish Times said a man who appeared to be in his 60s was dragged into the post office in the town of Carlow on Friday, propped up by two younger men. When questioned by staff, the two fled, leaving behind the older man, who was found to be dead.
Ireland’s national police force, the Garda Siochana, would not discuss details of the case but said officers were investigating circumstances surrounding the “unexplained death of an elderly male” in the Carlow area. The force said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the cause of the man’s death.
According to the Irish Times, one of the younger men had inquired about collecting someone’s pension and was told that the recipient had to be present. With the help of a companion, he allegedly returned with the dead man’s body, the newspaper reported.
Carlow Mayor Ken Murnane said the allegations had left townspeople in shock.
“It’s just mind-boggling that anyone could happen to do something like that,” Murnane said. “It beggars belief. It’s like a Hitchcock movie.”

Joshua Beale is an American Hip Hop recording artist that goes by the stage name Clip Monstar. Clip Monstar is known for his aggressive flow and his creative punch lines. Born in Atlanta Georgia to a single mother, Clip Monstar spent a large portion of his childhood moving around city to city with his mother and two older brothers. When Clip Monstar was 10 years old, they settled down in a small city just north of Atlanta called Buford, and it was at that time that he began to show his passion towards the hip hop culture. Clip Monstar would spend hours listening and studying the likes of Ludacris, DMX, and Eminem who would ultimately inspire him to act on his passion and pursue a music career.
After creating music group with long time friend and business partner, Travielle Johnson, Clip Monstar put his music on hold for a full basketball scholarship to Anderson University in South Carolina. It was in college that Clip Monstar would hit his stride and release bangers to the people.
After college, Clip Monstar moved back to Buford GA where he began to perfect his craft and develop his mantra. His style became so attractive in northeast Georgia, that some of the best artist in the area started reaching out to him to collaborate on tracks, mixtapes and albums.
Clip Monstar ultimately believed that more voices would be more powerful then one. That's when him and his brother, Justin Heilman, started the indie label we know today as Monstar Productions. Monstar has become the household label in Northeast GA, led by Clip Monstar. He is also known for his crazy image. He's 6 Foot 7, with monstrous eyes and heavy chains.
Nowadays, Clip Monstar can be seen performing at numerous nightclubs and hosting indie events throughout the city. He has recently released the 2 hit singles featuring Skippa Da Flippa & Lil Donald, and also Released 2 EP albums worldwide. The Oscar Award-winning actor used the opportunity to rip into Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump with such ferocity, that the producers decided it would be best to release the clip separately on Friday, October 7th.
"He's so blatantly stupid," de Niro says of Trump. "He's a punk. He's a dog. He's a pig. He's a con ... a bullshit artist. A mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about. Doesn't do his homework, doesn't care. Thinks he's gaming society. Doesn't pay his taxes, he's an idior. Colin Powell said it best, he's a national disaster. J. Cole pays tribute to Michael Brown on his new song entitled "Be Free."
18-year old Brown was unarmed when he was gunned down by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer on Saturday, August 9. The shooting angered the community, resulting in protests, riots and police confrontations.
The unidentified officer is currently on paid administrative leave pending an FBI investigation.
