Blue Dreams was created at Nippy Hustle Music Studio in Los Angeles, during a pivotal moment in Nippy Hustle’s journey—before his signing to Atlantic Records, when the focus was purely on craft, vision, and hunger.
The record came together in an intimate, independent studio setting where creative freedom drove every decision. Without major-label pressure, Nippy Hustle leaned into experimentation, late-night sessions, and raw emotion, allowing the music to reflect both ambition and reflection. The atmosphere was focused yet organic—built on instinct, real conversations, and a relentless work ethic.
Blue Dreams captures the mindset of an artist on the brink: dreaming bigger, working harder, and trusting the process before industry recognition arrived. The track stands as a snapshot of Nippy Hustle’s foundation—crafted in L.A., fueled by hustle, and rooted in authenticity.
Today, the song represents more than a record; it documents the moment before the breakthrough, when belief and grind mattered more than status.

Blue Dreams was written and recorded during a defining chapter of Nippy Hustle’s career, at his own music studio in Los Angeles—before his signing to Atlantic Records. At the time, the song reflected a mindset shaped by uncertainty, ambition, and belief in what was still to come.
The record was inspired by late nights, big visions, and the tension between where he was and where he knew he was headed. Without industry backing or outside influence, Nippy Hustle used the song as a form of self-motivation—channeling dreams of success while staying grounded in the realities of the grind.
Lyrically and emotionally, Blue Dreams represents clarity through pressure: staying focused, trusting the process, and visualizing success before it becomes reality. The song captures an honest moment of transition—when dreams were still blueprints and faith outweighed validation.
Blue Dreams stands as a reflection of the hunger and vision that fueled Nippy Hustle’s rise, documenting the mindset that existed long before the spotlight arrived.
SONG LYRICS: "BLUE DREAMS"
Nipsey Hussle & Juice Lee ft. Bad Karma - Explicit Version
INTRO - JUICE LEE
It's your boy Juice Lee.
To make a long story short and a short story end...
The last person in the race with persistence & faith
Could become in first place.
PIMP HOP
HOOK - BAD KARMA
Lately all I do is sip that pink,
Smoke purple and count my green,
Got a yellow bitch and she dont even smoke no weed,
But she know how to role the swisher sweat,
And she read about a few nightmares I had,
So she know where I keep the blue dreams,
I don't mean to be rude nigha that's my bad,
Lately I been going thru some things
Caught between two new bitches at the pad
Counting cash how would you feel waking up as me
& she read about a few nightmares I had,
I might of told her how I blew a few dreams,
It was either I was to busy or its to bad,
But im smoking on purple or im sipping on pink...
Color blind
VERSE - NIPSEY HUSSLE
Now I aint tryna be rude but I aint tryna be cool,
nigga tryna Make moves see Im out her taking risk,
I been out here paying dues,
tryna make it make sense,
tryna pay my little rent,
throw the Lincoln on some rims,
problem pull up in a Benz,
put a Rollie on my rist,
put some food in the fridge,
make it n the Music Benz,
and I aint tryna be rude im just expressing my views,
money come and go,
women wanna have sex,
niggaz wanna be you promethazine and tattoos,
yellow bitches in my room with a stupid asss view,
counting up this green,
proud of what I do,
life is but a dream,
lighting up that blue,
seven days a week,
this is what I do.
hustle! And I aint tryna hear a nigha sad story talking bout how he doing bad
because its out here if you want it.
but bottom line you gone get it how you live
but when it comes to your nig I dont got nothing for you.. no hand outs
still I stand out..
every little pretty bitch in the city she can vouch,
how I started out the trunk of my cutlass with no clout,
now they pay me like I make free throws and run routs..
NBA money nigha basketball.
Its night time hustle take them glasses off,
its paper over pussy like elastic draws
and we gone keep it that way intel the casket falls, huh,
double cup those..
sleeping on a flight to where im bouts to go,
nighaz getting mad because they baby momma chose..
let your baby momma go go go ...
OUTRO - BAD KARMA
All I do is sip that pink...
Watch Stephen Dowd's new music video for "BODY" here: https://youtu.be/H627iu-NrhY?si=JrwpyT2FOiEoj73l
The song is a relentless high-energy pulse designed for the modern dance floor!
BODY draws heavy inspiration from the 80’s provocation of Olivia Newton-John’s "Physical" and the raw magnetism of early Madonna. The narrative serves as a direct nod to the iconic finale of Grease, specifically capturing the "hot-blooded" moment of being mesmerized when Sandy steps out in black leather. I didn’t just want to write a song; I wanted to write a pulse. ’Body’ is that fast heartbeat that takes over the room.
To produce a tasteful music video for 'Body,' I returned to the Fiverr team behind 'Play Me A Christmas Song' and 'Summertime.' Because I wanted consistent characters throughout the video, they explained that stock footage wouldn't suffice, and that AI was the only viable solution.
Initially, I was hesitant; as a songwriter who prides myself on composing my own music and lyrics, I feared an AI-generated video might lead people to believe the music was also artificial. Ultimately, I authorized the use of AI to achieve the specific creative vision that traditional footage couldn't provide. And the result is something truly unique and beautiful.
Charts and such...
The three songs I released to radio in 2025 reached #1 on the World Indie Top 100 Chart:
1. “(Ça S'en Vient) Can You Feel It” (#1 on March 3, 2025)
2. “Freedom” (2nd week at #1 - June 9, 2025)
3. “Summertime” (#1 July 21/28, 2025)
My holiday single 'Play Me A Christmas Song' secured a career-high peak at #46 on the Mediabase All Stations Holiday Chart and #16 on Mediabase Top 40 stations Holiday chart.
The video was approved in late December 2025 by the prestigious VEVO music video station to air on their Holiday channel. VEVO has already committed to broadcasting the video for the 2026 holiday season. The video collected over 28,000 views in December 2025 on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@stephendowd4045
On “Like That”, Manny doubles down on honesty. The record hits with a balance of melodic swagger and raw emotion, as he flexes his lyrical control over Roc’s hard hitting production. His flow shifts between instrospection and confidence, weaving through themes of survival, ambition, and self- assurance. The track feels like both a both statement of intent and a window into the artist’s growth.
“Like That” represents who I am right now,” Manny said in a recent post to his followers. “It’s about owning my story, the wins and the losses.’ That sentiment mirrors the energy of the song – a declaration of independence from an artist carving his own lane in a crowded industry.
On social media, where he goes by @mannyraps, @mannyNJ, the New Jersey native keeps fans locked in with behind-the-scenes glimpses of studio sessions and snippets of unreleased music. Each post fuels his growing buzz and reinforces the images of a rapper who’s all about transparency and consistency.
With ‘Like that,” Manny proves he’s not chasing trends – he’s creating his own momentum. His voice, grounded in experience and ambition, signals a new chapter for East Coast rap built on substance, not shortcuts.

Boro Hall & Bigshot of D.M.I. over a Conway The Machine “BMG”-style instrumental
Brooklyn born, Gowanus raised — Boro Hall step up with that unorthodox flow, flipping raw bars like he’s channeling legends from the block to the booth. Bigshot rock steady with grit, confidence and sharp lyricism — straight out of Bed-Stuy grit with Boston steel in his voice. Together on the beat, they paint gritty street tales and raw ambition riding over that Conway-esque boom-bap instrumental vibe. The cadence hits like cold steel — dusty drums and cinematic horns make every line hit heavy, while they trade verses with that effortless, clipped punch — a tribute to the raw East Coast edge the BMG beat brings. This ain’t just a freestyle — it’s an anthem; bold, cold, lyrical — Brooklyn meets battlefield on wax, reclaiming real hip-hop breath by breath.
TeX - “Sub Zero” Produced by RichPockets
Emerging artist TeX chills the scene with the freshly unveiled single “Sub Zero,” produced by beat architect RichPockets. The track delivers a razor-sharp blend of frosty atmospherics and street-savvy lyricism to show & know his feeling of being broken.
