A King out of Queens: Entrepreneur King Juice, born Kranston Ellis was birthed in the Turks and Caicos Islands. For those that’s not familiar the Turks and Caicos Islands its British territory located southeast of the Bahamas.

His parents relocated to the states when he was just an infant in efforts to give him bigger and brighter opportunities. The three migrated to a borough in New York City known as Queens. Young King Juice lived in South Jamaica, Queens for most of his life and learned to adapt to the rough environment. Rough meaning, if you were outside you had to fight. He grew up on Jamaica Avenue, a well-known street where everybody goes to shop. The area is also known for a being a good place to hustle, steal and rob, they called it the stage. People came from all four corners of Queens just to chill on the stage. For those that don’t know, the stage is the Coliseum; 165 and Jamaica, where you had to "Do it like you do it for TV" or you were a NOBODY. A lot of the GREATS have been there. 50 cent, Jam Master J, LL Cool J, Ja Rule, Nas, Nikki Minaj, the list goes on.

But back to King Juice, King Juice started off as petty street hustler, mixing with the ins and out crowds of the streets. He hustled in the streets learning the craft of networking and in between times he alongside his peers would to spit rhymes with one another. Somebody King Juice talks highly of is a guy from the area he used to always watch as a young kid. It was a guy he called his big bro Renaldo aka Shortz. He taught him the game. How to hustle harder, carry his self with style and how to survive. Shortz had a passion to get out the hood by jumping into the music scene. He had a few artists that he believed in but didn’t really have a good ear for music. King Juice seen this as his eye opener and took notes with inspirations to start his own label with his own artist, and later his ideas came into fruition with the launch of King Juice entertainment.

King Juice took what he learned in the streets and not only started his own label but created a multitiered platform for entertainment. Music, comedy, movies and everything else it takes to appease people's emotions. 2020 is an interesting year for the young mogul. King Juice has his two artist Monster and No Flaws on his King Juice Entertainment label, check them out.

Grammy-nominated rapper DaBaby was arrested on a battery charge Thursday night in Miami after arguing with a music promoter over payment for a performance, Miami police said in an arrest warrant.

After police arrested the rapper, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, they found a warrant for his arrest from Texas, also on a battery charge. He was booked into the Miami-Dade jail just before midnight Thursday and was expected to make a first appearance in court on Friday. He will stay in custody until further notice, Miami-Dade Corrections spokesman Juan Diasgranados said in an email.

Kirk, who's best known for his single “Suge,” was in South Florida for a New Year's Eve performance at a Miami Beach nightclub. Thursday's incident began at Novotel Miami Brickell, where Kirk was staying, the arrest report said.

Kirk, 28, approached the music promoter, who said he'd made an agreement with the rapper to perform at Cafe Iguana in nearby Pembroke Pines, the report said. The man told police he gave Kirk $30,000 but when the rapper counted it he claimed it was $10,000 short. When Kirk demanded the money, an argument broke out and Kirk punched a man who was with the music promoter.

The promoter told police he fled to his hotel room out of fear for his safety. The man who was punched told investigators that one of the men with Kirk took his cellphone, a bank card and $80 in cash.

Later in the evening, Kirk returned to the hotel and the two victims identified him to police, who arrested him. The arrest report said Kirk denied involvement in the incident.

DaBaby got hauled away in handcuffs, and it's because cops want to hear what he has to say about a robbery ... TMZ has learned.

The rapper's been taken to police headquarters in Miami for questioning by detectives regarding a robbery Thursday around 12:30 PM. Seven cop cars were on hand when DaBaby was cuffed.

In video of the alleged robbery, you see some guys -- we're told they are members of DaBaby's crew -- jumping a man and apparently taking his money and possibly some other property as well.

It's been a rough run for DaBaby ... he was just arrested last week in Charlotte, North Carolina after he performed at the Bojangles' Coliseum. He was cited for marijuana possession, but he claims he was targeted and claimed on social media that police harass him every time he comes to his home state.

Video After The Jump

(AP) A man was arrested Thursday in a case involving home surveillance video showing what appeared to be an abduction, police said Thursday.

The video released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department showed a a woman running from a car and screaming for help outside a home before she was hit, kicked and dragged back to the car early Wednesday.

Tips provided by the public enabled detectives to identify the people allegedly involved in the incident, the department said in a statement.

The woman's identity wasn't released but the statement said 23-year-old Darnell Rodgers was arrested and jailed on suspicion of kidnapping and domestic battery.

It wasn't immediately known whether Rodgers had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.

Damon Dash says Aaliyah wanted absolutely nothing to do with R. Kelly after they pulled the plug on their controversial marriage back in the day.

TMZ's obtained a clip of Damon's interview on the soon-to-be-released Lifetime documentary, "Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning" ... and the music insider makes some bombshell revelations about Aaliyah's life after Kelly.

Damon famously dated Aaliyah after she split from R. Kelly ... and now he says the singer wanted to keep Kelly "the fuck away" from her following the annulment.

"He married a child. That was a headline, that was a like rumor. That was something talked about like it was normal," Damon says. "It wasn't like ill disgusting, 'you married a 13-year old.' It was like, oh, uou married Aaliyah?' She was 13."

When reminded that Aaliyah was actually 15 at the time she and R. Kelly got married, Dame fired back.

"Yeah, but 15 is 13," he continued, "I don't have to be accurate because I don't care. 15, 13 ... anything under 18 is disgusting."

Not much is known about Aaliyah's feelings regarding Kelly -- she died way too young -- so Damon's claims are pretty shocking.

BTW ... the new doc drops Thursday on Lifetime.

Video After The Jump

PHOENIX, Arizona -- A man's trip to Phoenix, Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl took a terrifying turn, and his desperate plea for help was caught on a home's surveillance system.

The 32-year-old from San Diego, identified as Anthony, told police he was in his car when three teenagers pointed a gun at him, pushed him to the backseat and drove him around for over an hour before forcing him to make withdrawals at various ATMs.

The teens then shot him several times and pushed him out of the car near an open field.

The victim then managed to walk to nearby homes and desperately knocked on doors and rung doorbells until he reached the front door of a Phoenix-area firefighter who called 911.

“Hey, I’ve been shot,” Anthony told the firefighter who had just turned off his 5 a.m. alarm. “I’ve been shot.”

“Who’s Anthony?” the firefighter, identified only as Jerry, replied.

“Just call 911, I’ve been shot,” Anthony said, according to video obtained by ABC News. “I swear to God.”

“Get the fuck out of here!” Jerry said.

The firefighter called 911, likely saving Anthony’s life, ABC News reports.

Three teenagers have been arrested for the crime, including an 18-year-old who, according to police, is already a convicted felon.
