Teresa Williams thought she had landed her dream job in Iron Mountain, Michigan, becoming the first female officer in the history of the rural town's police department.

But she was relentlessly harassed & assaulted during her 4½ years there and ultimately resigned, according to a federal lawsuit she filed last month against 3 Iron Mountain officers.

Within weeks of being hired in October 2017, she was forced to make out with her direct supervisor at a bar, according to the suit. The supervisor & Williams’ former patrol partner also bet on who could have sex with her first.

The lawsuit alleges sexual harassment, sexual discrimination, a hostile work environment & retaliation. Named as defendants are the department’s top 2 supervisors, Ed Mattson & Joseph Dumais. Garth Budek, Williams’ former patrol partner, is the third officer named as a defendant. Also named as defendants are the city & the police department.

Schulz and Williams said none of the 3 officers who are defendants have faced discipline or been investigated criminally.

Only weeks after Williams was hired, she was invited to a bar, the lawsuit says. She was excited about the opportunity to bond with her new colleagues.

However, at the bar, Dumais pressured her into doing a Fireball shot & making out with him as part of an initiation ritual, according to the suit.

Later on at the bar, Dumais asked for another shot with Williams, according to the suit. She repeatedly refused before she relented & was groped for the first time by a colleague.

“Dumais pressured Plaintiff into taking the second IMPD shot, however this time Dumais put his hand between Plaintiff’s legs & grabbed her genitals,” it says.

Video After The Jump

A small Tennessee police station has been rocked by allegations of wild sexual misconduct, after a married female officer allegedly had steamy romps with 6 male officers, including illicit on-duty liaisons.

Officer Maegan Hall & her fellow law officers allegedly engaged in wild sexcapades that included sending dirty pictures, taking her top off at a “Girls Gone Wild” hot tub party & even having oral sex with 6 officers at the La Vergne, Tenn., police station.

The steamy shenanigans — in which Hall allegedly bragged about the size of 1 partner’s genitals & claimed to be in an “open marriage” — not only led Hall to be canned, but led to the firings of Sgt. Lewis Powell, Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Ty McGowan & Detective Seneca Shields.

2 other officers who allegedly had romps with Hall — Patrick Magliocco & Larry Holladay kept their jobs but wound up suspended.

The extracurricular trysts took place at hotels & parties at other officers’ houses & on a boat, while Hall was also accused of performing oral sex on Powell & Shields while on duty at the police station & police gym.

Officials began to look into the swinging personal lives of the officers when La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole received a tip that Hall was sleeping with several fellow cops & had a threesome with Magliocco & his wife, among other claims.

When asked about the tip, Magliocco admitted to having sex with Hall on “numerous occasions.”

Video After The Jump

CHICAGO (WLS) -- New video shows Chicago police officers dragging a 16-year-old Marshall High School student down a flight of stairs, punching her, and using a stun gun on her.

What the video shows does not appear to match the story the officers initially told when the incident happened in January.

Video from security cameras inside Marshall High School in the city's East Garfield Park neighborhood shows Dnigma Howard talking with a classmate while two Chicago police officers stand by.

As the person in the yellow shirt walks away, video shows one of the officers immediately grab Howard and throw her to the ground.

The three of them eventually disappear from the shot, going down the staircase. The video shows other students immediately rush toward the stairs.

Video from another angle shows the officers dragging Howard down the stairs, and at the bottom one officer is holding her arm while the other is holding her leg.

"In the video you can see they pull her by the leg down the stairs, the whole flight of stairs," said Laurentio Howard, father.

One officer appears to kick and punch Howard as he's holding her on the ground. Video shows her thrashing on the floor, appearing to fight back before the officer ultimately deploys his stun gun.

"I thought maybe they were going to try to choke her out or she would lose consciousness or something like that. they had their foot on her chest. She has asthma, she's telling me she can't breathe. She's turning red, I see a vein sticking out her head," Laurentio said.

At the time of the incident, police said they were told to escort Howard out of the school after she was removed from class for having her phone out, then got agitated and lashed out at a security guard. Howard previously said she grabbed one of the officer's vests.

Laurentio had been called to pick his daughter up after she was removed from the classroom, he said.

"I'm standing downstairs by the front door and she said, 'I'm going to get her to come downstairs. She's going home right now,'" he said.

"I couldn't believe I seen two sworn police officers of Chicago abusing my daughter like this and I'm standing right there watching them do this and can't do anything about it," he recalled of the incident.

Officers tased Howard three times.

"Thank god for that video," said the family's attorney. "When this instance first happened the state's attorney charged a 16-year-old unarmed girl with two felonies for aggravated assault against a peace officer."

Howard was initially charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery against a peace officer, but the State's Attorney's office dropped the charges. The two officers were removed from the school and reassigned to different duties as COPA and the CPD Force Review Unit completed an independent investigation of the incident.

The City of Chicago Law Department said they "do not comment on pending litigation."

The streets were on fire in Baltimore, Maryland on Monday, April 27, as looters caused mayhem, but one mother taught her son a lesson he won't soon forget.

After seeing her son on the streets in the midst of the chaos, dressed in black from head to toe, looking for trouble, the mother grabbed him and slapped him around as CNN television cameras rolled.

Watch below.

**UPDATE** April 30

16-year old Michael Singleton learned a couple of valuable lessons earlier this week when he received the whipping seen around the world.

The teenager now has a better appreciation of how much his mother, Tonya Graham, loves him and has a clearer picture of how he wants to live his life.

12351520279?profile=original

“I understand how much my mother really cares about me. I just got to try to do better," Singleton told ABC News.

Michael's mother is known in the community as a person who is not going to stand for nonsense.

"All my friends know my mother. Every time they see her they’re like, 'Tonya coming.' Oh, yeah she’s coming. Everybody better get straight," he said.

"To see him down there, doing what he was doing, we're not doing that," Graham said. "I'm not angry with him anymore. As long as I have breath in my body, you will not be on the streets, selling drugs, you just not going to live like that.”

San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr speaks to members of the media

Video After The Jump

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr on Friday announced the conclusion of an Internal Affairs investigation into racist and homophobic text messages sent by officers.

Suhr said at least one police sergeant and a captain were involved. "It just makes me sick to even talk about it," said Suhr. "Certainly to have a member as high ranking as a captain was particularly disheartening."

The texts surfaced a couple of weeks ago after former officer Ian Furminger was sentenced on federal corruption charges.

12351487082?profile=original

Former officer Ian Furminger

Fourteen officers in all were the subject of an internal investigation. Suhr says eight - including the captain - sent messages sickening enough to warrant immediate suspension and eventual termination.

Michael Robison - a gay police officer and 23 year veteran - resigned over the texts he shared with Furminger.

On Friday, Officer Michael Celis, a 16 year veteran of the force, announced he'd step down as well - a move that may help the officers keep their pensions.

"Those [texts] don't represent his views, they don't represent how he approached his work and his life," said San Francisco attorney Tony Brass, who represents Celis and Robison. "But he understands that the texts are incompatible with continuing his work as a San Francisco police officer."

12351487481?profile=original

In a statement, San Francisco Police Officers Association President Martin Halloran said, "These officers need to be afforded their due process... If these allegations are proven to be true... there is no place for this type of behavior within the San Francisco Police Officers Association or the SFPD."

The officers will go before the Police Commission, which will have the final say on whether to terminate them or mete out another form of discipline.

Critics on Friday called for reform in the department. "We have to vet officers," said San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi, "so we don't have officers who hold racist views that are going to endanger not only themselves but the public, and also provide training on unconscious bias."

Suhr said the department recently restored a racial profiling class that had lost funding and plans to examine officers' backgrounds for warning signs.

"You have to assume that there could be more," said Suhr. "So we're going to look at their personal history questionnaires to see if there's some commonality that we hired somebody that we should've known that we shouldn't have hired."

Boston police officer Justin Barrett was suspended Wednesday, July 29, 2009, for using a racial slur to describe black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. NYDailyNews Reports The Boston cop suspended for calling Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates a "banana-eating jungle monkey" in a mass e-mail was turned in by fellow cops. The revelation that Officer Justin Barrett's brothers in blue were also revolted by his hateful words came as the police commissioner tried to repair to reputation of Beantown's police department. "This type of venomous rhetoric is severely damaging," Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis declared Thursday. "We will not allow the unacceptable actions of one member to define who we are." Davis said he has apologized to Gates on behalf of the department and they are now checking whether Barrett had any run-ins with blacks while on the job. Barrett is also not getting any love from the local police union, which has denounced his remarks as "offensive and hurtful." "He's gone," Boston Mayor Tom Menino said of Barrett, who has already been suspended. "G-o-n-e. I don't care, it's like cancer. You don't keep those cancers around." Barrett, 36, a cop for two years, has also been suspended by the National Guard, where he holds the rank of captain. Earlier, Barrett insisted he was not a racist and "did not mean to offend anyone." "The words were being used to characterize behavior, not describe anyone," Barrett told WCVB-TV. Barrett conceded it was a "poor choice of words." "I didn't mean it in a racist way," he added. "I treat everyone with dignity and respect." Barrett said he was "just venting" about the July 16 arrest of Gates by a white Cambridge cop that became a national discussion about race when President Obama said the officers acted "stupidly." "People are making it about race," said Barrett, who vowed to fight any attempt to fire him. "It is not about race." But it may be about whether Barrett has any sense. Barrett got into hot water after he fired off the note to his buddies on the force, in the Guard - and, inexplicably, The Boston Globe. In the email, Barrett called the Globe story "jungle monkey gibberish" and wrote that Gates' "first priority should be to get off the phone and comply with police." "For if I was the officer he verbally assaulted like a ... jungle monkey, I would have sprayed him in the face with OC deserving of his belligerent non-compliance," Barrett wrote. OC is pepper spray. Barrett went on to question Gates' credentials, called him a "God damned fool," and twice challenged the paper to "ax" him what he thinks. "I am not a racist, but I am prejudice [sic] towards people who are stupid and pretend to stand up and preach for something they claim is freedom," Barrett wrote.

CNN Reports A gunman wearing "priest clothing" sparked a shootout with police in Jersey City, New Jersey, early Thursday that ended with five officers wounded and the shooter and another suspect dead, authorities said. Two of the officers sustained serious injuries, officials said. The shootings began around 5 a.m. as two officers monitored a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent armed robbery. When a man went to the car, police approached him. The man, dressed in what Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy described as "priest clothing," pulled out a shotgun and fired, grazing one officer in the leg, authorities said. The suspect then fled and holed up in a nearby apartment, apparently with another person, Police Chief Thomas Comey told reporters at a news conference. Police called in backup, including officers from the Port Authority, and evacuated other residents of the building. As they moved in for a tactical entry into the apartment, they were met with gunfire, officials said. Four more officers were wounded and the two suspects were killed in an exchange of gunfire there. One suspect was "ready to go to war" in the way he was armed, Comey said. "This individual came fully ready to go to war with us," the chief said at a news conference. "This is not a normal shotgun ... and he decided to put these cops under fire." Watch chief describe suspect "ready for war" » Of the five officers wounded, one has been released from the hospital, while the officers who sustained critical injuries have been stabilized and were undergoing surgery, according to Dr. Nathaniel Holmes, Chief of Surgery of Jersey City Medical Center.
