Video After The Jump

Creativity has been sorely lacking as of late in hip hop. A lot of what fans are hearing sounds like one song put into a blender, then spit out over and over again to the masses.

Luckily, we still have indie artists like Rochester, New York's M Doc Diego, who refuse to conform to the mundane nonsense being pumped out by major labels these days.

With that in mind, check out M Doc's new music video for "Death To Mumble Rap."

Ciara’s fourth solo cd, ‘Basic Instinct’ dropped yesterday.

The singer /model dropped by Atlanta’s V-103 radio station to talk about the album, her love life, fans, 50 Cent and her “Who Can Get It” list.

Actually, her “Who Can Get It” list was not really a list, since Kanye West is the only person she mentioned.

DJ Greg Street kept Ciara laughing throughout their interview. It’s a good one so check it out below

Video More Pics After The Jump It's highly probable most of you have heard the story about sideline reporter, Ines Sainz being sexually harassed while at the New York Jets practice facility last week by some players. The story doesn't seem to be going away. Ines has been on several talk shows discussing the matter, while the Jets have remained silent. I think the story brings up a bigger issue. And that is, should there be a dress code for women when entering men's locker rooms? I'm not defending the New York Jets players behavior. Some of them allegedly threw footballs close to the reporter so they could get a closer look at her. Then made rude remarks and cat calls when she was in the locker room interviewing quarterback Mark Sanchez for Mexico's TV Azteca. Ines is known for wearing very tight, ass hugging jeans and dressing in a sexy manner. Some would say that doesn't matter and shouldn't be a reason players should whistle at or ogle her. Considering the fact an NFL locker room is a workplace and subject to the same rules that apply to corporate America. NFL spokesman, Greg Aiello told MSNBC an investigation is underway. "The issue is proper conduct in the workplace," said Aiello. "The locker room is a workplace." Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis had a different view. "You put a woman and you give her a choice of 53 athletes, somebody got to be appealing to her." he said. "Somebody got to spark her interest, or she's gonna want somebody. I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's packages." Portis has since apologized for those comments, but is he right? For her part, Sainz has said she isn't the one who made the sexual harassment charges. Other members of the media who witnessed what happened in the locker room did. Nevertheless, a few players will probably be paying a hefty fine and face possible suspension for their actions. Which leads back to my original question. Should female reporters be required to have a more toned down dress code when in men's locker rooms? Ines Sainz explains what happened in the New York Jets locker room

Audio After The Jump Nicki Minaj has put female hip hop back on the map. You could argue that she is single handedly carrying the game on her back for femcees. Her album 'Pink Friday' is set to drop November 23, and already there's talk of if it flops, other females might not get that look from major labels. But is that talk accurate or a clever marketing ploy? V-103's DJ Greg Street recently caught up with the Harajuku Barbie and spoke with her about that topic and a lot more. "I'm in a very grateful state right now," Nicki says. "I'm trying to go in with this album so I can make people proud." There's a lot riding on this project, no doubt. Nicki feels like everybody, including her fellow female rappers should support it, or else. "They [major labels] won't look to sign other female rappers if the project doesn't so well. Because they're gonna say 'well, her buzz was so crazy, if she couldn't do it no one can do it'. I don't want that to happen so I'm doing this for all the girls." Although her career has really taken off, Nicki admits there were times early on she wasn't so sure it would. "For a long time in my life, I was afraid to be a solo female rapper, because everyone told me, 'It doesn't work. It's not going to happen. Record companies are never going to invest in you just to get it. Just be part of a group.' " she said. Young Money CEO, Lil Wayne gets released from prison November 4. Nicki says the New Orleans spitter is focused. "I'm afraid for anybody, any of his competition when he gets out. Because I just feel like it's going to be monumental. He's in a great state. When I speak to him, he sounds like he has some sort of clear understanding of everything now, almost like he's had some weird sort of epiphany since he's been there, so I'm sure his stuff is only going to get better." So is Nicki right? Should other rappers fear what will happen when Weezy gets out? And if her album flops will that kill female hip hop on a mainstream level? twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump Proving that age really "aint nothin' but a number" former football great Herschel Walker displayed lots of heart and toughness in his MMA debut last night (Saturday January 31). Walker already had an amazing athletic pedigree going into the bout. He won the Heisman Trophy while playing for the University Of Georgia in 1982. Then moving on to professional football, he played in the short lived USFL league before moving on to the NFL. Where he was a star with the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles before retiring in 1997. So imagine being more than a decade removed from professional sports jumping into the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Herschel, a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do took on 26 year old opponent Greg Nagy, He dominated the fight before the referee stopped it in the 3rd round declaring Walker the winner by TKO. Walker said after the fight "this is one of the hardest things I have ever done" His entire purse was donated to a Dallas area charity, Project Turnaround. Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper
