TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A man has been charged with murder in the death of a 9-year-old girl who was shot when fights broke out in the courtyard of an apartment complex in New Jersey’s capital city.
Isiah Roberts, 19, of Trenton, also faces two counts of aggravated assault and two weapons offenses, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday. It wasn’t known if he’s retained an attorney.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the courtyard of the Kingsbury Square apartments in Trenton. Police responding to reports of fights and possible shots fired there found the victim, Sequoya Bacon-Jones, who had been shot once. She was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there a short time later.
Authorities have said they don’t think the child was the intended target, but the investigation is ongoing. It’s also not clear if the shooting was related to the fight.

Roxanne Luciano Digs Deep In the DJ Crates with This 90's “Whoomp There It Is” and Sada Baby's Whole Lotta Choppas Inspired Remix In Her New Heavy Bass-driven Club Banger "Whole Lotta A**"
Growing up in the music business, Luciano has met and worked with reputable artists across all genres. Staying true to herself, this dynamic artist has crossed over barriers and is killing the scene. So much so, the legendary Tony Mercedes, whose career total sales exceed over 80 million units, is the driving force behind newcomer Roxanne Luciano.
Tell us a little about yourself.
Luciano: My name is Roxanne Luciano. I was born in Atlanta and raised in Los Angeles. I am 25 years old and pursuing my dreams in the music industry. I also have done a bit of modeling and am also studying for a degree in Business Management.
What differentiates you from other artists?
Luciano: I am who I am, and that is just that. My life is being raw, rich in spirit, and rebellious. I’m not trying to be like anyone else other than me.
What motivates you in and out of the booth?
Luciano: I think the motivation just comes from a place of genuine passion. The motivation comes from the desire to put my voice out into the world and in the studio. I am allowed to do that, and I can open up and be myself without being afraid. Fighting my own fears is my main motivation.
What are a few surprising things about you?
Luciano:
I am working on my own food business. I am very shy. I wish I had a clone of myself.
What do you feel you contribute to the culture as an artist?
Luciano: I feel that I contribute something that is not seen enough, in my opinion, especially being a woman. I feel like I can contribute not only a place for rapping but also a place for singing and just expressing myself in so many different ways musically.
What’s next for you musically?
Luciano: Musically, I want to hit any and every avenue that I can. I don’t just want to be labeled as one genre type artist. I want to channel outlets that I never thought I could in this industry.

There's a distinction between being a rapper and a lyricist. All artists can put together words that rhyme, but very few make you stop the song you're listening to, so you can rewind it to comprehend a slick bar you just heard.
Fred the Godson was an elite lyricist.
Sadly, the Bronx, New York native lost his life on April 23, 2020, at the young age of 35 due to complications of coronavirus.

Memes After The Jump
The beef between Meek Mill and The Game continues to escalate. The two exchanged disses on Instagram all day Saturday, September 17.
Game continued to call Meek a rat for allegedly implicating him in the June robbery of Sean Kingston's $300,000 chain at the Penthouse Nightclub & Dayclub in West Hollywood.
The "One Blood" rapper posted a photo of missed phone calls from Meek and said there wouldn't be any talking, just scrapping.
"Don't call my phone tryna back out this ass whoopin.... & don't lie & tell yo followers you ain't hit my jack.... We ain't got shit else to talk about... & this ain't bout nobody but ME & YOU," Game captioned the photo. "Don't hide or run when you see me Meesha.... We gone have a old fashioned scrap like men & im going to beat the dog shit out you... You know you don't want & that's why you back peddling.... #CatchThisFade for puttin my name into an investigation & having detectives knockin on doors...... You know & I know you snitched !!!!!"
Game also posted several disparaging memes and photos of Meek.
Meek responded by saying Game has been jealous of him and hates his success. He posted a text message he sent to the Compton rapper, indicating he was ready for war.
"You doing all this clown shit about ya album coming out after I used to hit you about ya family," Meek wrote. "It's only right that you get get put in ya place. I'm not doing no rapping and I don't fight! Catch me and traffic and let's play! U on some Hollywood fagit shit Fam."
At one point during the back and forth exchanges Meek seemed to want to distance himself from it, citing his desire to be a role model to the youth.
“And I’m sorry for the weirdo entertainment. But Fam just jumped out of pocket. I’m just hustling feeding my family," he captioned a now deleted IG post. "Sh*t is really embarrassing. And I can’t keep performing tryna impress the internet because the moment sh*t go bad Ima look like a fool! @losangelesconfidential you outta pocket and you not repping for “niggas right” to sell some records!” Meek Mill wrote in the caption of a video posted on his Instagram page. IM FRESH FROM MY LIL CUZ FUNERAL I CANT KEEP ACTING LIKE MY PEOPLE AINT DYING TO THESE STREETS! GET MONEY STAY SAFE AND FEED YA FAM! I REPRESENT THE STRUGGLE AND IM HERE TO SET A EXAMPLE TO SHOW THESE YOUNGBULLS HOW TO USE THEY BRAIN TO MAKE IT OUT OF THE TRENCH! JUST TELL THE WORLD WHY YOU MAD AND WHY YOU DISRESPECTING MY NAME WITH THE WORD “RAT” YOU TOO OLD FOR THIS AND SO AM I. I WOULDA PULLED UP ANYTIME ANY PLACE BUT YOU CHOSE TO GO ON STAGE AND SAY YOU WANNA RUMBLE!"
Meek has deleted most of the content he posted on Instagram, but you can peep some screen shots below.
