Nine years after the groundbreaking movie Sin City made it's debut, the sequel, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, is about to shake the movie world up again.
It will be hard to top it's predecessor, but judging from Sin City 2's first official trailer it may do just that.
The Robert Rodriguez-directed film features an all-star cast that includes Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Julia Garner, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Stacey Keach.
Synopsis:
Robert Rodriguez returns to direct this follow-up to Sin City from a script by Frank Miller and William Monahan based on preexisting stories along with new ones written for the big screen. Josh Brolin stars in the adaptation of the comic mini-series (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), which tells the backstory of Clive Owen's Dwight character as he is wrapped up in the thralls of femme fatale, Ava (Eva Green). Also new to the series is Joseph Gordon Levitt, who plays Johnny, a mysterious gambler set on taking down his sworn enemy in a high stakes game of life and death. There's a celebration going on over at Roc Nation. The label is enjoying the success of another number one album with J. Cole's debut disc, Cole World: The Sideline Story.
Jay-Z released an official statement on the album's success via MTV News.
"J. Cole's success is testament to amazing artist development and Cole's hard work," Jay said. "I want to congratulate him on a #1 album and more importantly a great body of work."
Cole released a video (below) reiterating what he said on twitter yesterday. The 26-year old St John's University graduate thanked everyone from his fans to radio stations for helping him move 217,000 copies of his album.
Cole is said to already be working on his sophomore disc.
