Low Keezy is an artist from Atlanta, Georgia who knows all too well about the struggles of life and bumps that come with a hard life. As a child he grew up in a home where his mother was addicted to crack and his father who was a dealer left the home when he was only 6 years old. His mom’s boyfriend afterwards would burn down the home that they were living in as well. Low Keezy would use these things as motivation for his music career.
His mother got clean for last 10 years of her life, and she would be supportive and take opportunities to let her son know just how proud she was of his music career and the man he had become. She was a singer in a band throughout her life and Low Keezy states that had a powerful influence on his passion for music. Working with Dark South Records the artist has focused on the social media buzz and the overall visuals that come along with it. With two great mixtapes like #TheTakeOver and IAmLowKeezy the artist was off to the races, getting a fan base together in a totally different way then he started. Low Keezy also released a documentary move titled “Strive”. Low Keezy along with his business partner Beejay Biggz founded Members Club Records in January 2018 an independent label out of Atlanta Ga.

Meet Jordan Fields, stage name J-O.  This brilliant rap artist hails from Point South, South Carolina. J-O’s gift for making music was discovered early in his life when his parents bought him a karaoke machine for Christmas.  It may be the best money they ever spent!

Music became an intense focus and he was determined to become a star.  He adopted the moniker, J-O, and began to record himself rapping over different instrumentals. At 15 years old, he connected with Yung Black and became one-half of the Hip-Hop group, 33 Boys.  They were the first act to be signed to New Road Records. Being a part of 33 Boys was just the beginning of his journey.  J-O is spreading his wings.  His new solo project is a reflection of his growth as an artist and his present state of mind...refocused, refreshed and reloaded.

Artist Name: Dopeboy Herron

EP Title: Life Of A Dopeboy

Listen on Spotify

You know it’s the holiday season when the weather gets as cold as Dopeboy Herron’s ice, and as rigid as a street-sharpened flow. In no greater fashion, the North Carolinian emcee welcomes us into his own festivities with the three-track EP, “Life Of A Dopeboy” packed with frosty hits. Dopeboy Herron unleashes upon us a nine minute blizzard of bangers. Comprised of hardbody rhymes and raw inflection; embodying the vicinity Dopeboy Herron hails from, and is celebrating his survival of. Yet, as impressive as these guttural raps are, two undeniable favorites from the project are “Bells” and “Scottie Pippen”. Both tracks sport organ-laden, melodic instrumentals furthered by Dopeboy Herron’s even greater melodic performance. Whirling through autotune, the North Carolina native weaves very fitting smashes for the holiday season. Backed by his line of shocking features, and execution on his own solo cuts, Dopeboy Herron’s starpower is put on full blast with this EP. To say the least, “Life Of A Dopeboy” is an excellent showing of what this artist is capable of; and a phenomenal way to kick off your December right into the New Year.

He enjoyed creating music! He later felt the need to upgrade his equipment to improve the quality of his sound, purchasing an old computer from a cousin, along with a computer mic, he then installed studio recording software, Cool Edit Pro 2.0, even producing his own instrumentals with the FL Studio 6 software, all at just the age of 12.

San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr speaks to members of the media

Video After The Jump

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr on Friday announced the conclusion of an Internal Affairs investigation into racist and homophobic text messages sent by officers.

Suhr said at least one police sergeant and a captain were involved. "It just makes me sick to even talk about it," said Suhr. "Certainly to have a member as high ranking as a captain was particularly disheartening."

The texts surfaced a couple of weeks ago after former officer Ian Furminger was sentenced on federal corruption charges.

12351487082?profile=original

Former officer Ian Furminger

Fourteen officers in all were the subject of an internal investigation. Suhr says eight - including the captain - sent messages sickening enough to warrant immediate suspension and eventual termination.

Michael Robison - a gay police officer and 23 year veteran - resigned over the texts he shared with Furminger.

On Friday, Officer Michael Celis, a 16 year veteran of the force, announced he'd step down as well - a move that may help the officers keep their pensions.

"Those [texts] don't represent his views, they don't represent how he approached his work and his life," said San Francisco attorney Tony Brass, who represents Celis and Robison. "But he understands that the texts are incompatible with continuing his work as a San Francisco police officer."

12351487481?profile=original

In a statement, San Francisco Police Officers Association President Martin Halloran said, "These officers need to be afforded their due process... If these allegations are proven to be true... there is no place for this type of behavior within the San Francisco Police Officers Association or the SFPD."

The officers will go before the Police Commission, which will have the final say on whether to terminate them or mete out another form of discipline.

Critics on Friday called for reform in the department. "We have to vet officers," said San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi, "so we don't have officers who hold racist views that are going to endanger not only themselves but the public, and also provide training on unconscious bias."

Suhr said the department recently restored a racial profiling class that had lost funding and plans to examine officers' backgrounds for warning signs.

"You have to assume that there could be more," said Suhr. "So we're going to look at their personal history questionnaires to see if there's some commonality that we hired somebody that we should've known that we shouldn't have hired."
