AKRON, Ohio -- LeBron James finally thanked the fans in Cleveland on Saturday, when he made his first public appearance since he left the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat.

At his annual "King for Kids" charity bike-a-thon in downtown Akron, James addressed a friendly crowd of several hundred people who cheered as he took the podium.

"To the city of Cleveland, my fans in Cleveland, my fans in northeast Ohio," said James, "I want to say thank you for the last seven years and the years that continue to go in the future."

Then he repeated the thank you to Cleveland a second time, as if for extra emphasis.

"So I want to thank the city of Cleveland, also northeast Ohio, for all the great years that I've had," he said.

Last week, James came under fire for taking out a full-page newspaper ad in the Akron Beacon Journal in which he thanked the city of Akron for its support. The ad contained no mention of Cleveland, where James got his start in the NBA.

Emotions are still running high among Cleveland fans who felt betrayed by James, who was revered in that city for years.

After James left for Miami to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert sent off a scathing letter to Cleveland fans vowing to win a title before James does.

But in Akron, at least, James is still very much loved by the people who watched him grow up. After giving his brief speech -- and without answering any questions from the media -- James hopped on a bicycle and joined about 400 children who received free bicycles along the one-mile course.

Wearing a red shirt with the word "Akron" printed on it, James also thanked that city and its mayor for extending open arms to the player and his family. He said this is the most precious day of the year for him.

"Because I'm able to give back to the city that I grew up in, the city that I love," James said to cheers. "And the city that I will always give back to."

Most fans were pleased to see him, and didn't understand the vitriol that has been directed at James from the rest of northeast Ohio since he left.

"This is his home. He's been very supportive of us in the past," said Tony Morganti, a Cavs fan from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. "He said he's going to continue to be so, and I think this just proves it."

No wonder Montana Fishburne looks so comfortable in her new sex tapes. Turns out Laurence's daughter has been working on street corners selling a** since at least last year.

According to a report on E! News, the 19 year old was arrested last year for prostitution and avoided jail time by going into a work-alternative program.

Much has been made about Montana's foray into porn. The initial shock came from the idea that someone like actor Laurence Fishburne's daughter couldn't possibly put out a sex tape, but it appears now that selling sex has been her profession of choice all along.

The report states that on March 19 of last year, Montana was caught on a h** stroll in Hollywood by police. She was charged with solicitation and loitering in a public area for the purpose of prostitution.

Her original sentence was two years probation and 15 days in jail, but the judge allowed her to do community service work instead.

View court documents here

Well, she might as well be the best porn star she can be now that all of this information is coming out. She should start by getting those ghastly pimple scars removed from her butt cheeks, I'm just saying.

FLINT, Mich. -- Investigators say a knife-wielding serial killer has been attacking men on Flint-area streets since May, killing five people and wounding eight others in a vicious spate of violence that may be motivated by racial hatred.

Survivors have described their assailant as a muscular, young white man, and all but one of the 13 victims was black, Flint Police Lt. T.P. Johnson told The Associated Press Friday. Flint is a predominantly black city, and investigators are unsure if the suspect was targeting blacks or whether the victims were chosen at random.

The victims were all outside alone at night. Survivors have said the attacker approached them under the pretense of needing directions or help with a broken down vehicle.

"He then pulls a knife and attacks them without saying anything more," Johnson said.

"A knife is a very personal weapon. To stab somebody repeatedly, there has to be some rage going on," he said.

Detectives have been investigating the attacks since they started, but a pattern only became apparent on Tuesday, a day after 49-year-old Arnold Minor was found slain along a Flint street,

Johnson said. That led to the announcement that a serial killer might be on the prowl in the working class city ravaged by economic turmoil, budget problems and police layoffs.

Michigan State Police are leading a task force investigating the attacks. Ten have been in Flint, about 50 miles northwest of Detroit. Three others were in nearby communities.

A number of the incidents have occurred around Grand Traverse Street in Flint, but police are asking all of Genesee County to be vigilant.

On July 30, the body of 60-year-old Frank Kellybrew was found not far from the Flint Township motel he had called home for about 10 months.

The manager of Hometown Inn said Kellybrew had walked to the other side of Interstate 75 to buy some things from a gas station. The next morning his body was found by sanitation workers corralling trash barrels near a restaurant.

Kellybrew didn't stand out any more than the other tenants at the motel, which rents quite a few rooms on a month-to-month basis, manager John Henson said Friday.

He liked watching television in the motel lobby or having a cup or two of coffee.

"He was a nice guy; kept to himself," Henson said. "If he didn't know you, he would just avoid you and have nothing to do with you."

In his short time at the inn, Kellybrew enjoyed walking over at night, after business hours, to the restaurant near the freeway.

"He would sit on the bench at night," Henson said. "He'd just go over there, and sit and relax. It's pretty quiet over here at night when everything closes."

Police have hesitated to describe this stabbing spree as a chain of hate crimes. A criminal justice professor at Saginaw Valley State University told TV5 that won't be known until the suspect is caught.

"Until you put everything together, there could be some more assaults out there [and] that things will just continue to come into play,” said SVSU criminal justice department professor Joseph Jaska. “So it may not necessarily be something against African Americans, but at the same time, I think the public in general just needs to be cautious."

Oh dear: Real Housewives of D.C. participant Michaele Salahi has alleged that during her Wednesday appearance on daytime television’s The View, host Whoopi Goldberg perpetrated “outrageous abuse”upon the White House party crasher. Salahi’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told the Daily Beast that what looked like Whoopi gently touching her client’s back was actually a form of physical violence. Bloom also alleges that after taping concluded, Goldberg screamed at Salahi, “I didn’t fucking hit you! Did you say I fucking hit you?” Salahi’s Facebook note claiming charges of “outrageous abuse” by Goldberg and promising audio and video of the altercation has been deleted.

The View and Goldberg concur that a “heated exchange” took place backstage, but both deny that Goldberg struck Salahi. Video of the episode, which was broadcast to a national audience, certainly corroborates their claim. Footage shows Goldberg creeping onstage and nudging Salahi’s waist. At the time, Salahi herself observed that she “felt someone touch [her].” Note that she says “touch,” not “hit.”

Bernie Mac didn't have to die—if only his dermatologist had done something about it.

That's the feeling of the late comedian's widow, Rhonda McCullough, who has filed a wrongful death suit against Mac's longtime doctor, accusing him of negligence in failing to properly treat the star in the weeks before he died.

The complaint, filed last week in Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago, claims Rene M. Earles "failed to recognize and act upon abnormal vital signs and signs of respiratory failure" during a July 17, 2007, visit the funnyman paid to the physician's office.

Read the lawsuit

McCullough alleges in her court docs that instead of diagnosing pneumonia, calling 911 and sending Mac to the hospital via ambulance, Earles negligently kept Mac at the clinic for nine more hours, setting off a chain reaction of complications culminating in the star's death from pneumonia on Aug. 9, 2008.

Earles, who considered Mac a friend and had for 20 years treated a lesional skin condition on his head, face and neck caused by sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease, told the Chicago Sun-Times he thought the Emmy-nominated actor may have had an allergic reaction to an injection another doctor had given him.

In any case, the dermatologist said that after stabilizing Mac with oxygen and letting him sleep, he sent Mac to Northwestern Hospital, where he picked up another bug.

"He didn't die the next day, he didn't die in two days. He died in two weeks and he got over his original strain of pneumonia. He got another strain of pneumonia while he was in the hospital," Earles told the paper, noting he was heartsick over his pal's death.

The suit seeks at least $50,000 in damages.

Brian Pumper the porn actor and aspiring rapper felt the need to clarify a few rumors that have been floating around regarding Montana Fishburne.

B. Pump wanted to make it clear that he isn't pimping Montana, but he suspects her boyfriend J-Pipes could be. which concerned him.

But let's backtrack a second and find out how Pumper was introduced to Montana.

She {Montana} called my phone, I'm always getting calls from new talent, new girls. Don't judge me on this I'm a super busy dude. I know Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, big star names like that," he says. Laurence Fishburne...I knew the name I just couldn't match the face. When I told niggas they was like 'yo you don't know who that is, he was in the Matrix, you buggin!'"

So she calls and say she wants to do a movie with him. She had gotten his card from her boyfriend Jeremy Greene aka "J-Pipes"

"She told me her name was Montana Fishburne, Laurence Fishbure's daughter and could send you some pics. The pics she sent was fire, I'm a businessman, instantly I knew I gotta shoot ths chick. She did a good shoot, we had fun, we did it doddy style before she rolled me. And she did a music video.
"

Pumper said he hasn't really had contact with her since their shoot. He responds to criticism that he's exploiting this 18 year old girl.

"I'm not exploiting her, she's a grown woman. She showed up on the set with two valid forms of I.D.. She did it under her own fre will, she was not under the influence of any alcohol or drugs, she had a good time.."

So that's the deal, dude isn't pimping her or exploiting her, but Laurence, come get your daughter fam, she's acting bad out here.

U.S. sprinter Tyson Gay handed world record holder Usain Bolt of Jamaica his first 100-meter loss in more than two years at the IAAF Diamond League DN Galan meet Friday in Stockholm.

Gay held a narrow lead over Bolt halfway through the race before pulling away to set a meet record (which earned him an automatic prize of a $10,000 diamond) of 9.84 seconds and defeat Bolt for the first time.

Now I’ve got to keep it up,” Gay said.

Bolt took second place with a time of 9.97 seconds, his second slowest time ever in a final, according to the Diamond League website.

His last loss in the event was also in Stockholm, in July 2008. That race was won by fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell, who did not race Friday because of a back injury.

“Just one of those days,” Bolt said. “I told you I’m not unbeatable. I did not train as hard as in past years, so I can’t complain. And it was Tyson Gay. My congratulations to him. I’m not in my best shape and he is in great shape.... I simply wasn’t ready enough for that clash.”

Cheryl Wray (far left) regrets her past behavior

SALT-N-PEPA star CHERYL WRAY regrets her risque antics at the height of her fame - because she's now a born-again Christian mum.

The hip-hop star, who was Cheryl James when the trio was at the top of the charts, admits she often went too far onstage when young fans were in the audience watching her every move.

She explains, "When you are young, in a group and you have management and a record company behind you, you can get pushed into things you wouldn't do otherwise.

"As a woman, as a mum, one thing I'd never have sung was the line, 'If I want to be a freak and sell it on the weekend/It's none of your business.' That's not a message I want to put out there."

The 'I Kissed A Girl' hitmaker is 'sensitive' about the Christianity referencing promo - which features Gaga putting rosary beads in her mouth while dressed as a nun ' and insists even her fiance Russell Brand cannot get away with blasphemy.

Katy ' whose parents are both Christian pastors - said: 'I am sensitive to Russell taking the Lord's name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth. I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.

'Yes, I said I kissed a girl. But I didn't say I kissed a girl while f***ing a crucifix
.'

Just as religion bashing makes her mad, the 25-year-old pop star is also infuriated by celebrities who claim they don't read gossip about themselves on the internet.

She added to Rolling Stone magazine: 'Any artist who says they don't Google their name is a big fat liar. It's a little gross when you look at other celebrities' twitter feeds and see them posting about something they read about themselves on a Google Alert, it's like, 'Uh, maybe you should stop Googling yourself every day, the world does not spin around you.' LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – It's no joke: "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane has signed a record deal to release his debut album.

MacFarlane has joined forces with Universal Republic Records to deliver an album of 1940s and '50s show tunes paying tribute to Broadway classics. Unlike the songs on his animated Fox hits, these aren't spoofs, but straight-up renditions of songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, and other talents.

"It's rare in this day and age to have the opportunity to create an album that celebrates the classic, sophisticated sound of rich, lush swing orchestrations," MacFarlane said. "It will be an absolute joy to sing this music, and I look forward to working with the entire team at Universal Republic on what we intend to make an exceptional project."

MacFarlane frequently sings the parody songs from his shows at live events, and he received an Emmy nomination for music and lyrics this year.

The album will be produced using vintage techniques, and MacFarlane will be backed by an orchestra and a big band. Universal Republic is an imprint of Universal Music Group.

Rapper and former Fugees singer Wyclef Jean made the first televised announcement of his bid for Haitian president last night on CNN. After several satellite interview segments between Wyclef and Wolf Blitzer, philanthropist Sean Penn shared harsh words for the Haitian rapper, questioning his motives and value as a leader.

"This is somebody who's going to receive an enormous amount of support from the United States, and I have to say I'm very suspicious of it, simply because he, as an ambassador at large, has been virtually silent. For those of us in Haiti, he has been a non-presence," Penn said.

Jean, 37, was born in Haiti but left soon after and was raised in Brooklyn and New Jersey. He established the Yelé Haiti foundation in 2005, providing aid and opportunities to the country's citizens.

Penn, who has been active in Haiti since the earthquake, highlighted allegations that Wyclef mishandled $400,000 donated for the country through his Yele Haiti foundation. "He claims he didn't do it. That has to be looked into it," Penn said. "I've been there. I know what $400,000 could do for these people's lives."

Wyclef's political motives were a particular concern for Penn. "I see in Wyclef Jean somebody who could well have been influenced by the promise of support of companies. I think Haiti is clearly vulnerable ... There is a history of American interests coming in and underpaying people. This is a culture or one to two dollars a day, that they were making."

Penn openly worried about American corporations and individuals "enamored" with Wyclef becoming "opportunists on the back of the Haitian people."

"I haven't seen or heard anything of [Wyclef Jean] in these last six months that I've been in Haiti. I think he's an important voice. I hope he doesn't sacrifice that voice by taking the eye off the very devastating realities on the ground," Penn said. "I want to see someone who's really, really willing to sacrifice for their country, and not just someone who I personally saw with vulgar entourage of vehicles that demonstrated a wealth in Haiti that, in context, I felt was a very obscene demonstration."

In 2008, Wyclef recorded a song called 'If I Was President'. Notable lyrics include: "If I was president / I'd get elected on Friday / Assasinated on Saturday / And buried on Sunday" and "Instead of spending billions on the war / We can use some of that money, in the ghetto / I know some so poor, when it rains that when they shower / Screaming 'fight the power.'

Laurence Fishburne must be dealing with a lot of pain and embarrassment right now because of his daughter's decision to do porn. At the very least he now knows he has a good inner circle of people around him.

According to a report on TMZ, Fishburne's friends and family tried in vain to stop at least one of his daughter's sex tapes from ever seeing the light of day.

According to the report, the group offered Vivid Entertainment $1 million dollars to halt their release of Montana Fishburne aka "Chippy D's" new tape.

Vivid's Steve Hirsch confirmed he was contacted by lawyer Yale Galanter on behalf of the group, but the dvds had already been shipped out.

"It's true that we had several conversations with Mr. Galanter. We would have stopped shipment but it was too late. We continue to have the utmost respect for all involved," Hirsch said.

No word on if the group also tried to stop Montana's 2nd tape which is being released by porn star, Brian Pumper.

Video After The Jump

HARDY, AR (KAIT) – A former Region 8 resident will be featured on Animal Planet's Monster's Inside Me Wednesday, August 4 at 9 PM. Kenneth Watson, who graduated from Highland High School three years ago, is the lead story on the program, which tells horrific tales of people who become hosts to parasites. The episode, titled Breeders, talks to Watson about events happened five years ago, when he was diagnosed with "Ocular Myiasis".

"Five years ago I was waking up for school and I just couldn't see," said Watson. "Looking down on the ground, waving my hand in front of my face, still couldn't see it, when I got to the bus stop, I just turned around, started crying that I was 15,16 going blind."

Watson said Wednesday he went to see his family doctor, Doctor Jerry Ellis in Ash Flat. Ellis told Watson to immediately travel to Memphis, where Doctor Steve Charles with the Hamilton Eye Clinic examined his eye.

"It was scary, only being able to see out of your peripheral vision is not something you're used to, not being able to look and focus on something," said Watson.

According to the episode, Charles found a hemorrhage, which blocked Watson's vision. The optic nerve in his right eye was blocked.

"If I covered my right eye up, I could see everything fine, but if I uncovered it, then everything was blocked, my double, my dual vision was messed up," said Watson.

Watson said doctors performed emergency surgery on his right eyeball. A fly maggot had been feeding on his retina tissue.

"It was still alive eating and burrowing its way in my eye," said Watson. "The realization that there's actually something inside me eating me, it's scary for a moment but then you kind of just try to cope with it."

During surgery, doctors used a tiny camera and laser to kill and remove the maggot. Watson said doctors believed the maggot got there when a gnat landed in his eye.

"About two weeks before this all happened, I had a gnat land in my eye walking to school, just outside," said Watson.

Doctors believed the gnat laid an egg when it was inside. When the eggs hatched, it began feeding on the flesh of Watson's eye.

"My eye was black and my whole white, the white part of my eye was bloody," said Watson. "When we went to look it up there was nothing, there was one girl in France eons ago that had it."

Watson is now required to wear glasses and his right eye occasionally twitches; however he has no permanent damage.

"It was fun because I had always wanted to be on TV," said Watson. "Somebody asked me what do I call it, and we just said maggotitis.
