NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Walmart employee who survived last week’s mass shooting at a store in Virginia has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the company for allegedly continuing to employ the shooter — a store supervisor — “who had known propensities for violence, threats & strange behavior.”

Donya Prioleau’s suit alleges that she has experienced post-traumatic stress disorder, including physical & emotional distress, from witnessing the rampage Nov. 22.

“Bullets whizzed by Plaintiff Donya Prioleau’s face and left side, barely missing her,” the lawsuit states. “She witnessed several of her coworkers being brutally murdered on either side of her.”

The lawsuit adds: “Ms. Prioleau looked at 1 of her coworkers in the eyes right after she had been shot in the neck. Ms. Prioleau saw the bullet wound in her coworker’s neck, the blood rushing out of it & the shocked look on her coworker’s helpless face.”

Store supervisor Andre Bing, 31, fatally shot 6 employees & wounded several others before he died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

The lawsuit alleges that Bing “had a personal vendetta against several Walmart employees & kept a ‘kill list’ of potential targets prior to the shooting.”

“Prior to the shooting, Mr. Bing repeatedly asked coworkers if they had received their active shooter training,” the suit states. “When coworkers responded that they had, Mr. Bing just smiled & walked away without saying anything.”

In another instance, Bing told co-workers “he ran over a turtle with a lawnmower just to see its (guts) spray out, which made him hungry & reminded him of ramen noodles,” the lawsuit says.

Bing was previously disciplined for bad behavior & harassing employees, but Walmart “kept employing him anyway,” the suit says.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Gabby Petito’s family on Monday notified Utah officials of plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit alleging that police failed to recognize their daughter was in a life-threatening situation last year when officers investigated a fight between her & her boyfriend. The fight happened weeks before authorities say the boyfriend killed her while the couple was on a cross-country van trip.

The notice of claim contends police in the tourist town of Moab missed signs that Petito was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of Brian Laundrie on Aug. 12, 2021. The officers ultimately allowed the couple to leave after requiring them to spend a night apart.

Police body camera video from that day showing Petito, 22, visibly upset was widely viewed as the investigation unfolded & raised questions about whether a different police response could have prevented her death.

“If the officers had been properly trained & followed the law, Gabby would still be alive today,” said attorney James McConkie.

The family is seeking $50 million in damages.

Petito was reported missing a month after that traffic stop & her strangled body was discovered on Sept. 19 on the edge of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

Laundrie, 23, later killed himself in Florida after being named the only person of interest in her death. Petito & Landrie were originally from Long Island, New York.

Disney’s decision to release “Black Widow” on Disney Plus at the same time it hit theaters has sparked a legal battle with Scarlett Johansson, the actress tasked with playing the Marvel superhero.

In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, attorneys for Johansson allege that the star’s contract was breached when the studio opted not to debut the film exclusively in theaters, a move they claim depressed ticket sales for the Avengers spinoff. Much of Johansson’s compensation was tied to the box office performance of “Black Widow” — if it hit certain benchmarks, bonuses would kick in.

“Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel,” the suit reads.

Shortly after its debut, the National Association of Theatre Owners, the industry’s main trade organization, asserted the simultaneous release of “Black Widow” in theaters and on streaming “costs Disney money in revenue per viewer over the life of the film.”

However, the suit notes that Disney’s stock rose after the company disclosed the rental figures.

“Disney chose to placate Wall Street investors and pad its bottom line, rather than allow its subsidiary Marvel to comply with the agreement,” the suit reads. “To no one’s surprise Disney breach of the agreement successfully pulled millions of fans away from the theatres and toward its Disney + streaming service.”

The Wall Street Journal, which broke the news of the lawsuit, reports that sources close to Johansson estimate that the decision to release the film concurrently on Disney Plus resulted in $50 million in lost bonuses.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A woman who says she was raped by late R&B singer Rick James when she was 15 years old is suing his estate for $50 million.

The unidentified plaintiff says James raped her while she was staying at a group home in Buffalo, New York, in 1979. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday against the James Ambrose Johnson Jr. 1999 Trust, which is run by the singer’s estate. The suit was filed under the Child Victims Act, which opened a one-year litigation window for victims who were once blocked by the statute of limitations.

In the lawsuit, the woman said James was visiting one of the parents at the group hope. She said he came into her room after dinner and raped her.

“He grabbed my hair and pushed my head into the pillow,” she said in the suit. “I tried to fight him off, but he told me to ‘shut up and quit moving or I’ll cut you.’”

The woman says she has suffered “physical, psychological and emotional injury” due to the alleged assault.

A representative of the trust did not respond to requests for comment from The Buffalo News.

James, a Buffalo native, was convicted in 1993 of assaulting two women. The first case occurred in 1991, when prosecutors said James and his girlfriend tied a woman to a chair, burned her with a hot crack pipe and forced her to perform sex acts during a cocaine binge at his West Hollywood home. He was free on bail when the second assault occurred in 1992 in James’ hotel room. He served more than two years in prison.

He was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Aug. 6, 2004.

Report Via TMZ -- Pablo Escobar's family needs your help to make another person disappear -- this time, it's President Trump they want out ... but, apparently, it'll be no cheap feat.

The brother of the deceased Colombian drug kingpin, Roberto (aka El Osito), has started a GoFundMe campaign seeking at least $50 million in donations to bolster his company's efforts to impeach the U.S. Prez. Sounds totally legit ... we're listening.

Roberto and his associates at Escobar Inc. are soliciting anyone and everyone to kick in cash toward their crowdfunding page to finance "intelligence research, lobby firms and lawyers" that could ultimately lead to Trump's downfall in Congress. Hmmmmm ... yes, go on.

Roberto claims he's already got dirt on Trump from previous alleged business dealings between DT and the Escobar company ... among other things. Roberto says his dirty secrets on Trump are something Special Counsel Robert Mueller would wanna hear.

He sounds pretty confident in himself, saying, "I am the brother of a Latino hero, I have eliminated many people from power ... Trump will be impeached." We'll give him this ... the Escobars have definitely (allegedly) gotten rid of some folks in their day.

Maybe it's just us, but it's weird that Roberto and co. are asking for a cool $50 mil to fund this project if they've already got the goods on Trump.

Help them if you're so inclined.

Pioneering rap group Run-DMC has hit Jet, Amazon and Wal-Mart with a $50 million lawsuit,

NBC reports that the retail outlets are accused of illegally "advertising, selling, manufacturing, promoting and distributing multiple products" in the group's trademarked name.

73791192?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

Items allegedly being sold include glasses, patches, hats, t-shirts, wallets and other items.

The suit, which was filed Thursday, December 29, in the Southern District of New York, lists group member Darryl "DMC" McDaniels as the plaintiff.

It states that Amazon, Wal-Mart and Jet are violation of federal trademark and New York unfair competition laws. The companies are accused improperly profiting, diluting and harming the Run-DMC brand by duping customers into believing the items being sold are endorsed by the band.

Run-DMC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. In 2010 Rolling Stone ranked them 48th on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of all time.

The group was founded in 1981 by McDaniels, Joseph "Run" Simmons and Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell.

Jay died in 2002 after being shot at a Queens, New York recording studio.

Simmons and McDaniels later disbanded the group.

Their hit records include "It's Tricky," "Walk This Way," "Rock Box," "It's Like That," "Sucker MC's," "King of Rock," "My Adidas," "Mary, Mary" and "Down with the King."

The group's legitimate merchandise has generated more than $100 million in sales.

The N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is already a smashing success at the box office. The film is expected to almost double it's $29 million budget by bringing in $50 million in it's opening weekend in U.S. theaters, according to estimates by Variety.

Cash Money Records is taking Jay Z's Tidal streaming service to court.

TMZ reports that the lawsuit stems from Tidal's streaming of Lil Wayne's Free Weezy Album. Tidal claims it obtained the rights to stream the music legally from Weezy, in return for part ownership in the company.

12351574656?profile=original

Birdman's lawyers say Jay Z is using Wayne in "a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service."

12351505452?profile=original

Cash Money maintains that it has exclusive rights to all of Lil Wayne's music, which Tidal's attorney's disagree with.

Birdman and company point out that Wayne's contract states that the "Lollipop" rapper doesn't have the power to sign the rights over to any of his music. Their lawyers claim FWA got "tepid reviews" that could hurt their ability to market Wayne's music in the future.

Birdman is seeking $50 million.

Manny Pacquiao might owe the largest amounts of income tax between two countries in history.

TMZ reports that the Filipino boxer owes the U.S. Internal Revenue Service $18,313,668.79. The government alleges Pacquiao failed to pay his taxes from 2006-2010.

Here's the breakdown:

2006 -- $1,160,324.30
2007 -- $2,035,992.50
2008 -- $2,862,437.11
2009 -- $8,022,915.87
2010 -- $4,231,999.01

That's just the beginning of Pacquiao's financial disater. The Associated Press reports that the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Pacquiao's home country of the Philippines says he failed to pay his taxes in 2008-2009.

The amount he owes there is a staggering 2.2 billion pesos ($50 million) in back taxes.

12350495077?profile=original

Rumors have followed Pacquiao for years alleging he spends his money freely and has to continue fighting to survive, but how he got into this nightmarish tax situation should be looked into. Does he have financial advisers? It's a question that needs to be answered.

The Philippine government has placed a lien on one of Pacquiao's most expensive properties in Manilla and have frozen his bank accounts, and those of his wife.

Pacquiao claims that there is a treaty that prevents double taxation and has asked that his bank accounts be unfrozen.

''I appeal to them to remove the garnishment so that I can move and pay for my staff's salaries,'' Pacquiao told reporters in his southern hometown of General Santos city. ''I am not a criminal or a thief.''

He also disputes the amount owed to the United States. He believes that if that were true he would have been arrested during one of his many trips to the country.

Robert Downey Jr. is paid quite handsomely for his movie roles. He's the kind of bankable actor major studios want in their movies to assure fans line up at the theaters. He recently confirmed that he was paid an astounding $50 million to star as Iron Man in 2012's blockbuster The Avengers.

"Isn't that crazy?" he told GQ. "They're so pissed. I can't believe it. I'm what's known as 'a strategic cost.' "

To put that figure into perspective we have to look at the salaries of the other actors for their roles in the film.

Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) made between $2 million-$3 million.

12350024870?profile=original

Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) made between $4 million and $6 million, which means Downey Jr. made double their combined salaries.

12350025258?profile=original

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide, which is great for Disney and Marvel Studios, but is any actor worth what Downey Jr. was paid?

Faizon Love and Katt Williams probably won't be visiting each other over the holidays. That's because Katt allegedly pulled a gun on Faizon during an argument Tuesday night.

The two comedians/actors got into a heated argument over a $50,000 debt Katt owes Faizon when the incident occurred outside of the Supper Club in Hollywood.

"Once the argument escalated, Katt went to his car to go get his gun to pull it out on me," Faizon told TMZFortunately, one of my homeboys who was there took the gun out of Katt's hands. Come to find out the gun he pulled out on me was not even loaded. My homeboy gave it back to him, then we went in the club.”

The police were called and Katt, along with two of his friends were taken into custody when the gun was found in his car. Katt and one friend were later released. One of the men, however, remained incarcerated for charges stemming from a traffic warrant.

12348505865?profile=original

Police say the gun was unregistered. They are still trying to find out who it belongs to.

Faizon said Katt needs to check himself.

I am just extremely upset that his punk a$$ would pull a gun out on me and even play with me like that. He better chill his a$$ out."

The saga of American concert promoter Patrick Allocco has taken a turn for the worse as the price for his release from the Republic of Angola has gone up.

As we previously reported, Nas was paid $300,000 to perform at a New Year's Eve concert in Angola, but failed to show up. Nas claims he didn't make it because of a "miscommunication" about his travel plans.

As a result of Nas' no-show local promoter Henrique 'Riquhino' Miguel sent armed men to kidnap Allocco and his son to prevent them from leaving the country without paying the money back first. After the two were turned over to local authorities the U.S. Embassy stepped in and put them in a hotel until an agreement could be reached.

After Allocco's rep released a statement asking Nas to give the money back so his ransom could be paid, Nas said he would do so once he found out where to send the check to.

Three days later the ransom has yet to be paid.

According to TMZ, Miguel is now demanding an additional $50,000 in expenses on top of the original $300,000 in order for Allocco to be released.

Nas has agreed to pay 300K, but not the additional 50K. On top of that he wants a letter from Allocco and Miguel freeing him from any liability.

The two sides are now deadlocked and Allocco is no closer to getting home than he was three days ago.

The victims managed to free themselves once the thieves left and called 911.

Police are hoping the robbers left behind fingerprints so they can be traced.
