Azealia Banks a.k.a. Yung Rapunxel is a free woman after being released from her Universal Records contract. The 23-year old rapper celebrated the news with her 379,000 Twitter followers.

She has been trying to get off the label since January when she went public with her frustration.

“I’m literally begging to be dropped from Universal,” she tweeted. “Universal needs to just hand me over to another label who knows what to do with me. I’m tired of having to consult a group of old white guys about my black girl craft. they don’t even know what they’re listening for or to. Can someone at Sony buy me off of Universal please?? i’m really in hell here.”

Banks has been a fixture on blogs mainly because of her feuds on Twitter with everyone from T.I. to Jim Jones, but she is very talented and isn't afraid to take risks musically. Songs like "212" and "ATM Jam" prove Banks can deliver the goods.

It will be interesting to see what her next move is now that she's independent.

YouTube personalities Etayyim (ET) and Mohammed (MOE) of OckTV are playing with fire and have been asked to stop. At this point it doesn't look like they will.

The two have been pulling pranks like "Do You Have A Problem" "Fight Me Now in the Hood" and "Selling Guns in the Hood" in the predominantly African American sections of Brooklyn, New York.

12350951478?profile=original

During the gun prank one guy pulls out his own pistol and points it in the face of one of the jokesters while telling him, "I already got a f*cking gun."

The New York Daily News talked to a couple of community activists who say the brothers are risking their lives for laughs and YouTube views.

“How stupid are they?” asked community advocate Tony Herbert. “They are particularly targeting minority neighborhoods. Somebody is going to get hurt. They are putting their lives in jeopardy.”

“The ignorance is ridiculous,” added Edward Lovell of the National Action Network. “Anyone could lose their life over this stupidity.”

12350952284?profile=original

The brothers, sons of Palestinian immigrants, believe what they're doing is harmless fun. They insist they don't only target black people.

"We target everybody, white people, Spanish people, not only black people," said Et

“We’re not trying to get hurt,” added Moe. “Every time we go out to prank, we are never serious. We don’t think about it. We don’t make anybody’s day go wrong.”

So far they've been kicked, b*tch slapped, punched in the face and body slammed. Watch the videos below and let us know what you think.

Video After The Jump

Seattle Seahawks shutdown cornerback Richard Sherman and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree are going to continue their beef for a long time to come if Sherman has his way.

The feud between the two went public following last season's NFC Championship game when Sherman went on a national television rant that made him famous.

“I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me. [...] Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”

12350942871?profile=original

Sherman still feels some type of way about Crabtree. During his recent interview with American Muscle, he let that be known.

It’s much more of just I don’t like the dude. You know what I’m saying. And I think he’s sorry. So it’s really what it comes down to.

It was a solid game, and I knew he was going to be a little punk and walk off. He wasn't going to come shake hands after the game, so I was like 'alright, I'll get you right before it. Good game.'

We had a little [beef] outside. Me and him had a little outside, a little something. I'm [gonn]a ruin that boy.

It’s just about him, it’s just about Crabtree.

It’s not going to be something that goes away. I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to understand.

Although Chris Brown is not a Blood gang member he often uses slang terms and throws up hand gestures representing the Fruit Town Pirus.

According to TMZ, he does so with the blessing of the gang because he's done a number of things to show his loyalty to them.

12350945870?profile=original

The singer has helped the Compton, California economy by hiring some of the gang members, has donated thousands of pairs of shoes to local kids, shot a music video there and comes through the hood to hang out.

While it's commendable that Chris is giving back to a community that needs it, one has to wonder if it's wise of him to be associating with gang members given his current legal problems.

What are your thoughts?

Audio After The Jump

Britney Spears became a pop sensation mainly because of her good looks and dance moves. Nobody has ever said she was a great singer and critics often cite her lip-synced live performances as reason to throw shade at her vocal ability or lack thereof.

Not helping matters is the leaked version of her song, "Alien," that hit the net without being auto-tuned first.

It's not a good look, but producer William Orbit defended Britney on his Facebook page by writing that the singer was "warming up" on the unfinished song.

Dearest Music Lovers, I have heard that Britney vocal link that everybody’s been discussing. It has been impossible not to as there have been many comments directing my attention to it. [I won’t re-posting it here]. I'd like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up.

12350959889?profile=original

Listen to Britney "warming up" below and judge for yourself.
