Tracy Morgan has filed a lawsuit against Walmart in U.S. District Court in New Jersey. The comedian/actor suffered a broken nose, broken ribs and a broken leg after a Walmart big rig smashed into the back of his limo bus June 7, on the New Jersey turnpike causing it to overturn.
Jeffrey and Krista Millea and Ardley Fuqua were also in Tracy's limo bus and suffered injuries. They are named as plaintiffs if the lawsuit which was filed Thursday., July 10.
James "Jimmy Mack" McNair
Morgan's friend, 62-year-old comedian James McNair was killed in the crash.
Kevin Roper was driving the Walmart truck. He was reportedly going 20 miles over the speed limit. Roper was charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto. He pleaded not guilty on June 11, during an arraignment in Middlesex County Superior Court in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on all charges. He is currently free after posting $50,000 bail.
"The defendants' negligence was a substantial contributing factor in causing plaintiffs' injuries," the lawsuit states.
According to TMZ, Roper believes he is a scapegoat "because a famous person was involved."
"I wish it was me and I can't express how horrible I feel," he wrote on Twitter last month. "I was never charged at the scene of the accident because once again i was not guilty of any crime. Not until all the TV cameras came. So yes i am now most likely f*cked because i had an unfortunate ACCIDENT with the wrong car that night."
Walmart issued a statement the day of the accident.
We’re praying for the family and friends of the passenger who lost his life in the terrible accident in New Jersey. Our hearts go out to everyone involved and we hope those who were injured get the care that they need and make a full recovery.
This is a tragedy and we are profoundly sorry that one of our trucks was involved. We are working quickly to understand what happened and are cooperating fully with law enforcement to aid their investigation.
The facts are continuing to unfold. If it’s determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility.
Safety is our absolute highest priority, but that is no comfort whatsoever to the families and friends who are suffering today. We offer them our deepest condolences. We can’t change what happened, but we will do what’s right for the family of the victim and the survivors in the days and weeks ahead.
Morgan has become a fixture on television over the last decade. He was a Saturday Night Live cast member and starred in 30 Rock. He's also been seen on the big screen in the movies Death at a Funeral, Cop Out, Deep in the Valley and more.

My Fox Philly reports that prosecutors were concerned about Meek's recent behavior and a recent photo he posted of himself with a gun.

Sports fans have given the OVO boss a hard time for being a bandwagon jumper, but he tells Complex's Frazier Tharpe that's not the case at all.
“Well, first of all, I'd like to say that despite what everyone on the Internet thinks, I do not team jump. In the past I’ve always supported the player and not the institution—unless we're talking about the Kentucky Wildcats and the Toronto Raptors; I will never stray from them. But whether it comes to soccer or football or basketball, I have a lot of friends that play for a lot of teams. I’m not team jumping. I’m a supportive friend."
"Of course, I’m gonna go watch games in Cleveland. If not for Lebron—who I said is a brother to me, we’ve got three kids from Toronto on one team, plus Manziel who is part of our family and our brother. I definitely have to look into some real estate in Cleveland and spend some months of the year out there. Like I said, my teams will always forever be who they are but I will support the group who has shifted to Cleveland."
"For Cleveland, a place that I’ve been to time and time again when I’ve been to touring, it's gonna be great for them, I’d love to see them grow."

Young Thug is actually Wiz Khalifa's body and Young Thugs Head. Thats what Young Thug has been this whole time.
— We Dem Boyz (@wizkhalifa) July 11, 2014
Young Thug just released his 1017 Thug 2 album on iTunes. But that's taking a backseat to the controversy surrounding the artwork, which inexplicably has the Atlanta rapper's head photoshopped onto Wiz Khalifa's body.
It's quite possible Young Thug had no idea that the artist commissioned to do the cover took the laziest approach in album cover history and most likely got paid for it.
It's so obvious even Wiz commented on it via Twitter.
"Young Thug is actually Wiz Khalifa's body and Young Thugs Head," Wiz wrote. "Thats what Young Thug has been this whole time."
I have a feeling the artist won't be getting much work from anybody in the future. Whatever the case, this is just embarrassing.

Brick Records is proud to present the REKS & Hazardis Soundz collaborative album Eyes Watching God. The concept album has the duo showcasing a contrast between “good and evil” beginning with a “God Side” and finishing with a “Devil Side.” The CD artwork features a dual-image album cover showing both the 'Good' and 'Evil' sides, depending on what angle you view it from. The Massachusetts lyricist linked up with the Queens native in South Florida to complete the album during the past year, and they enlisted N.O.R.E, Saigon, Fredro Starr, Termanology, Ruste Juxx, Dutch Rebelle and others to add to their cause. The result is a highly conscious and fiercely political album.
"Working with REKS on this project has been a great experience. The creative process was organic and effortless. We were in the studio together for every song on the album and it was as simple as me showing Reks a beat and him picking up the pen and writing. Nothing was ever forced. I am really proud of this body of work and I'm very excited for the world to hear it." says Haz.
REKS adds, "It felt natural working with Haz. He has a great ear for music and was interested in me trying beats I am not accustomed to spitting on. It helped me diversify myself a bit". The chemistry between the two is evident throughout Eyes Watching God, which drops on CD and digitally on 7-15-14.
Today, REKS releases the latest jewel, “Garvey,” from Eyes Watching God, as he links up with Noreaga & Saigon for a titan collaboration (the video for “Garvey” will be released on 7-15-14).

Dennis Rodman's name has come up in bizarre story out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A woman has filed a police report stating that she was partying with Rodman and his friend named Charlie at the Ocean Manor Resort Hotel on July 1st, when she blacked out and woke up in the hospital.
According to TMZ, 22-year-old Angela Torre claims she met the former NBA player and his friend and decided to go with them back to their hotel room. She had "one drink and a shot." The next thing she remembers is waking up in a hospital.
Police confirmed Torre was taken to the hospital after being found unconscious in the hotel restaurant.
A rape kit was not administered because Torre left the hospital before doctors could give her one. She isn't sure if any other tests were performed, but "believes she was given drugs by an unknown person without her knowledge, but does not recall." She later went back to the hospital for a toxicology test to see if any drugs showed up in her system. Those test results are pending.
Torre also told police she had a bump on her head and a bruised chest. She doesn't directly accuse Rodman of drugging her and he isn't named in the police report.
The incident is still under investigation.

Welcome Home @kingjames. I am excited for the fans and people of Cleveland and Ohio. No fans and people deserve a winner more than them.....
— Dan Gilbert (@cavsdan) July 11, 2014
LeBron James has decided to leave the Miami Heat to go back to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In an interview with SI.com's Lee Jenkins, the superstar details the reasons why he's going home.
Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It’s where I walked. It’s where I ran. It’s where I cried. It’s where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart. People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I’m their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me. I want to give them hope when I can. I want to inspire them when I can. My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now.
.
Remember when I was sitting up there at the Boys & Girls Club in 2010? I was thinking, This is really tough. I could feel it. I was leaving something I had spent a long time creating. If I had to do it all over again, I’d obviously do things differently, but I’d still have left. Miami, for me, has been almost like college for other kids. These past four years helped raise me into who I am. I became a better player and a better man. I learned from a franchise that had been where I wanted to go. I will always think of Miami as my second home. Without the experiences I had there, I wouldn’t be able to do what I’m doing today.
I went to Miami because of D-Wade and CB. We made sacrifices to keep UD. I loved becoming a big bro to Rio. I believed we could do something magical if we came together. And that’s exactly what we did! The hardest thing to leave is what I built with those guys. I’ve talked to some of them and will talk to others. Nothing will ever change what we accomplished. We are brothers for life. I also want to thank Micky Arison and Pat Riley for giving me an amazing four years.
I’m doing this essay because I want an opportunity to explain myself uninterrupted. I don’t want anyone thinking: He and Erik Spoelstra didn’t get along. … He and Riles didn’t get along. … The Heat couldn’t put the right team together. That’s absolutely not true.
I’m not having a press conference or a party. After this, it’s time to get to work.
When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission. I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn’t had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio.
I always believed that I’d return to Cleveland and finish my career there. I just didn’t know when. After the season, free agency wasn’t even a thought. But I have two boys and my wife, Savannah, is pregnant with a girl. I started thinking about what it would be like to raise my family in my hometown. I looked at other teams, but I wasn’t going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy.
To make the move I needed the support of my wife and my mom, who can be very tough. The letter from Dan Gilbert, the booing of the Cleveland fans, the jerseys being burned -- seeing all that was hard for them. My emotions were more mixed. It was easy to say, “OK, I don’t want to deal with these people ever again.” But then you think about the other side. What if I were a kid who looked up to an athlete, and that athlete made me want to do better in my own life, and then he left? How would I react? I’ve met with Dan, face-to-face, man-to-man. We’ve talked it out. Everybody makes mistakes. I’ve made mistakes as well. Who am I to hold a grudge?
I’m not promising a championship. I know how hard that is to deliver. We’re not ready right now. No way. Of course, I want to win next year, but I’m realistic. It will be a long process, much longer than it was in 2010. My patience will get tested. I know that. I’m going into a situation with a young team and a new coach. I will be the old head. But I get a thrill out of bringing a group together and helping them reach a place they didn’t know they could go. I see myself as a mentor now and I’m excited to lead some of these talented young guys. I think I can help Kyrie Irving become one of the best point guards in our league. I think I can help elevate Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters. And I can’t wait to reunite with Anderson Varejao, one of my favorite teammates.
But this is not about the roster or the organization. I feel my calling here goes above basketball. I have a responsibility to lead, in more ways than one, and I take that very seriously. My presence can make a difference in Miami, but I think it can mean more where I’m from. I want kids in Northeast Ohio, like the hundreds of Akron third-graders I sponsor through my foundation, to realize that there’s no better place to grow up. Maybe some of them will come home after college and start a family or open a business. That would make me smile. Our community, which has struggled so much, needs all the talent it can get.
In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have.
I’m ready to accept the challenge. I’m coming home.
LeBron, who was born in Akron, Ohio, was drafted out of his hometown's St. Vincent-St. Mary high school with the No. 1 overall pick by Cleveland in 2003. He played seven seasons with the team and led them to their only NBA Finals appearance in 2007, where they lost to the San Antonio Spurs.
When he became a free agent in 2010, he decided to play for the Miami Heat. He played four seasons in South Beach, won 2 championships and went to four consecutive NBA Finals
