Tekashi 6ix9ine & Meek Mill came an inch from trading punches early Sunday morning ... as their long-standing beef reached a boiling point.

The 2 men were at a club in Atlanta & as Meek was getting in his car to leave, Tekashi appeared & they both started jawboning. In the video, you hear both rappers & their security yelling at each other. It looks like Tekashi is trying to lunge at Meek.

Tekashi is hurling insults at Meek, accusing him of working with cops ... yes, the irony is not lost on us.

Yella Beezy was arrested Saturday on weapons charges, but the rapper says this was a set-up ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Yella Beezy was driving in Dallas when cops pulled him over after they claim he was running stop signs. They searched his car -- unclear why -- & allegedly found an unlicensed weapon.

Video surfaced online where you see a police car with flashing lights & a cop checking inside the black SUV's trunk.

Yella Beezy's manager Adrian Low Brown tells TMZ... the rapper told him he was driving his armored-plated, bullet-proof truck in his old neighborhood to get Valentine's Day flowers for his GF when police stopped him & said he blew a stop sign.

He says they told him they smelled weed, which he says was an excuse to search his car. Beezy says he doesn't smoke & cops didn't find any marijuana & didn't charge him for possession.

As for the gun they found ... Beezy's team says his entire arsenal is registered.

The manager says he's currently trying to bail Beezy out. The manager says this is a case of harassment by cops.

Washington (CNN) Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell directly blamed former President Donald Trump for fomenting last month's riot but voted Saturday to acquit him anyway of inciting an insurrection.

McConnell sharply criticized his former ally in a speech on the Senate floor shortly after Trump was cleared in a 57-43 vote, saying the rioters had been "fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth. Because he was angry he'd lost an election."

"Former President Trump's actions that preceded the riot were a disgraceful, disgraceful dereliction of duty," added McConnell. "Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day."

But McConnell -- who, as Senate majority leader last month, rejected calls by Senate Democrats for a speedy trial during Trump's final days in office -- said Trump was constitutionally ineligible for conviction since the punishment is removal, and Trump was already out of office. McConnell claimed that a speedy verdict before Joe Biden's inauguration had been impossible.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Senate on Saturday voted to acquit former Pres. Donald Trump on a charge that he incited the deadly mob that raided the U.S. Capitol last month.

Trump needed 34 not guilty votes for acquittal. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) cast the deciding vote.

The final tally was 57 senators voting to convict Trump, & 43 senators voting to acquit.

Saturday's rare impeachment session began with an unexpected vote to consider witnesses at the trial, making a Saturday verdict unlikely.

But hours later House Impeachment Managers and Trump's defense team struck a compromise allowing a new statement from Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler into the record instead.

The Republican congresswoman had shared a conversation she had with House Minority Leader Mike McCarthy regarding Pres. Trump's comments the day of the Capitol attack, Jan. 6.

The Senate held a roll call vote after a few hours of closing arguments.

Senate Republicans who joined Democrats in voting Pres. Trump guilty include Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) & Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Penn.).

Senators Burr & Toomey are retiring at the end of their current terms in January 2023.

The seven Republicans who joined Democrats in voting to convict Pres. Trump marks the most bipartisan vote in a Senate impeachment trial.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WESH2) — A Volusia County man is being sought by deputies who say he stole an engagement ring from a woman he was dating, & gave it to another woman he was dating.

Deputies said they are searching for Joseph Davis, 48. He’s wanted on a felony charge of grand theft.

Investigators said Brown stole an engagement ring & wedding bands from his girlfriend in Orange City & used them to propose to his other girlfriend in Orlando.

Investigators said he went by “Joe Brown” with one girlfriend & “Marcus Brown” with the other.

Investigators said the two women involved in the case worked together & helped detectives identify Davis, who never gave either of them his real name. He met them both on OKCupid in 2015 & 2016, officials said.

Deputies said everything began to unravel for Davis when one of the women learned her boyfriend was actually engaged to someone else.

When she looked up the fiancée’s Facebook page, she noticed a photo of her wearing a wedding band & engagement ring that was identical to her own, from a prior marriage. When she went to check her jewelry box, she discovered her rings were missing.

She also told investigators several other pieces of jewelry, including a diamond ring that belonged to her grandmother had been stolen. The total value of stolen was about $6,270.

TIJUANA (Border Report) — Police & investigators in Baja California say Logan Kelley, 26, is the man who murdered a Tijuana prostitute on Wednesday night inside a Tijuana nightclub.

Kelley, who will turn 27 later this month, played collegiate basketball briefly for Rutgers University in New Jersey eight years ago.

The victim, Isis Montoya, was a 19-year old “sex worker” at Adelita’s Bar in Tijuana’s infamous Zona Norte.

Graphic surveillance video shows a young man, matching Kelley’s physical description, walking up from behind, grabbing Montoya’s neck before slashing her throat.

She died at the scene.

The video also shows the suspect sprinting away.

Investigators say the person seen running away was Kelley, who was stopped by club personnel before getting outside.

According to the Rutgers’ website, Kelley played in only three basketball games as a freshman, but was kicked off the team at the end of the season for an unknown reason.

Kelley also played for one year at the University of Montevallo in Alabama. He is from Mountain Side, New Jersey. His passport indicates Kelley was born in Ohio.

Initially, there were erroneous reports published stating Kelley was in the United States Marine Corps. In a statement to Border Report, a Marine Corps spokesman said Kelley was never a Marine nor was he ever associated with the Corps.

“There is no record of this person ever serving in the Marine Corps.,” the statement said.

Investigators released a photo of the alleged murder weapon, which features the words “special forces” on the blade & has a picture of an assault rifle & a seal on the handle.

Rapper Jay-Z & tech mogul Jack Dorsey are launching a roughly $24 million fund to help develop bitcoin.

The Brooklyn-born artist & the Twitter CEO are putting 500 bitcoin into an endowment called “₿trust,” Dorsey announced Friday.

The fund’s mission is to make bitcoin “the internet’s currency” & it will initially focus on aiding efforts to develop the cryptocurrency in India & Africa, according to Dorsey.

It will be set up as a blind irrevocable trust that will take “zero direction” from Dorsey & Jay-Z, who was born Shawn Carter, Dorsey said in a tweet.

Dorsey put out an open call for three board members to help oversee the trust. Anyone interested in applying just has to fill out a Google form with their name, email address & “proof of work.”

Dorsey is a longtime bitcoin fan. His Twitter bio simply reads “#Bitcoin” & his digital payments firm, Square, bought $50 million of the cryptocurrency last year. Twitter finance chief Ned Segal said this week that the social media giant might follow suit.

The trust is the latest chapter in Dorsey & Jay-Z’s budding relationship. A report emerged in December that Square was interested in acquiring Tidal, the struggling music streaming service that Jay-Z bought in 2015.

The duo was also spotted lounging on a yacht with Jay-Z’s wife Beyoncé in August & hanging out on a beach with actor Sean Penn in November.

LOS ANGELES - Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith and his family are safe after they were robbed at gunpoint shortly after flying into Los Angeles earlier this week, it was reported Friday.

The Southern California native and his family were allegedly followed from LAX to their hotel where the robbery took place on Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec with The Athletic reported.

"We are aware of the situation involving Jimmy Smith. We have spoken with Jimmy, and he and his family are safe," the Ravens said in a statement.

Smith has played his entire NFL for Baltimore. According to ESPN, the 32-year-old re-signed with them on a one-year deal worth $5 million earlier this year.

A newborn baby whose parents were charged with murder and child abuse Tuesday had a fractured skull, broken bones and severe burns when he died at a Richmond hospital last week, the Contra Costa County medical examiner said Wednesday.

The autopsy report on the 5-week-old baby’s death indicated that he suffered from critical injuries that included seven broken ribs, a fractured skull, internal bleeding, a broken right femur, facial scarring, dehydration, malnourishment, bruises and burns.

The Contra Costa County district attorney on Tuesday filed murder, assault and child abuse charges against the baby’s parents, Richmond residents Ray Ray Darn, 35, and Marilyn Northington, 28.

An enhancement was filed in connection to the child abuse charge, meaning the couple could face increased prison time if convicted. The charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Darn and Northington are being held in the Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $2.2 million bail.

Richmond police received a 911 call from an employee at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel on 3150 Garrity Way on Feb. 4 around 6:30 p.m., police spokesman Aaron Pomeroy said in a statement. The employee reportedly saw a couple rush out of the hotel with an infant who was not breathing.

Less than 30 minutes later, emergency room employees at Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center reported an unresponsive 5-week old child, police said.

Darn and Northington were arrested on suspicion of abusing and killing their newborn son the same night.

Police “found drug paraphernalia...including a meth pipe and two butane lighters” in the hotel room where the couple lived, said Scott Alonso, a spokesman for the Contra Costa County district attorney.
