Mystikal joined VladTV for the first time to detail his life and storied rap career. He started by describing his upbringing in New Orleans during the 1970s and 1980s. Despite his father passing away from a blood clot when he was seven-years-old, as well as the passing of his sister, Mystikal described himself as a good, sheltered kid.
After completing high school, Mystikal joined the military without knowing the country would soon be involved in the Gulf War. After serving his country and being discharged, he returned to New Orleans where he started pursuing his rap career. After being discovered during an opening performance for Run-DMC, Doug E Fresh, and Spice 1, Mystikal quit multiple jobs after being handed $500 to start recording.
ATLANTA — A rapper has been arrested on charges related to a shooting on the set of a music video in Atlanta last month.
Atlanta police arrested LeParis Dade, known as OMB Peezy, on Monday. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon & possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The shooting happened on Feb. 21 during a music video for rappers 42 Dugg & Roddy Ricch at a steelyard off Wells Street.
Neither of the artists was hurt, but two men were shot & taken to Grady Hospital. A third man was injured by debris.
Bond for Dade has been set for $60,000, according to the Fulton County Jail records. He must also be fitted with an ankle monitor & surrender his passport before he can be released on bond.
Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach was the first reporter on the scene after the shooting happened.
A witness told Gehlbach there were suddenly a lot of gunshots shots that quickly scattered about 50 people on the set.
“Everyone started running, trying to get out. Or take cover, lot of places to take cover in there,” Teresa Lakes said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant Monday to get data from the so-called black box in the SUV that Tiger Woods was driving when he was seriously injured in a crash last week.
To get a warrant, probable cause that a crime was involved has to be determined, even if it's just a misdemeanor. A sheriff's deputy downplayed the warrant as routine to USA Today Sports on Tuesday, saying he considered it due diligence.
"We're trying to determine if a crime was committed," Sheriff's Deputy John Schloegl said. "If somebody is involved in a traffic collision, we've got to reconstruct the traffic collision, if there was any reckless driving, if somebody was on their cellphone or something like that. We determine if there was a crime. If there was no crime, we close out the case, & it was a regular traffic collision."
The black box data can show a vehicle's speed, steering angle, acceleration & braking activity. There was no information regarding what was found in the Genesis SUV's black box, Deputy Trina Schrader said.
"As far as getting a warrant or getting the download from the car, we just do it automatically," Schloegl told USA Today Sports. "We want answers, so that's the route we take."
Schloegl also said there was "no probable cause" for a warrant to obtain Woods' blood, which would help determine whether he was under the influence of medication.
He said that Woods' camp has been cooperative.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said last week that the crash was "purely an accident" & that his department would not file charges against Woods pertaining to the Feb. 23 single-car crash near Los Angeles.
Villanueva said the department is considering it an accident, which could lead to a misdemeanor at most.

SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police arrested a man in the fatal stabbing of a good Samaritan who stumbled onto a robbery outside of an illegal gambling den.
William Smith, 45, is facing charges of murder, robbery & 3 counts of assault.
On Friday night, Yong Zheng, 46, was celebrating the lantern festival with some friends in Sunset Park, when they saw an Asian man being viciously attacked & robbed. With anti-Asian violence spiking across the country, Zheng did not hesitate to help.
By the end of the vicious fight, blood was shed & 4 men were stabbed - one of them fatally...that was Zheng, the good Samaritan.
Jin Zhao, 39, Zheng's widow, said she still can't process the horrific nightmare.
"He heard a robbery - he didn't know what was going on. He saw a crime, he tried to stop it," Zhao said.
Zheng was a bus driver in Chinatown. He had two children, a 14-year-old daughter & a 4-year-old boy. Father & son share the same birthday in April, & always had a double celebration, now they will never get the chance to do that again.
"They need to be punished - not my godbrother. He's a good person," said Zheng's god sister Xiu Lin.
The Fukian community is now raising funds for the family. The wife stayed at home with the children while her husband drove a bus. Now they are left with no income & a collective, shattered heart.
Smith was arrested Sunday after police tracked his car, which was apparently caught on camera fleeing the scene.
He is set to be arraigned later Monday.
Smith was convicted of manslaughter for a 1996 death & served 10 years in prison before being released on parole.
He has four other arrests, including at least one for weapons possession, driving while intoxicated in 2010 & drugs sales in 2007.
Embattled comedian Chris D’Elia was accused of sexual exploitation & violation of child pornography laws in a new civil lawsuit filed California federal court on Tuesday.
The accuser, who goes by Jane Doe in the filing seen by Page Six, claims that in 2014 — when she was 17 years old — D’Elia connected with her on social media. She claims that he knew she was underage, since he commented on one of her high school “spirit day” photos.
The lawsuit claims D’Elia, then 34, invited the accuser to one of his shows, which she & a friend attended in Connecticut. However, before the performance, he asked the accuser to come up to his hotel room but told her friend to leave or else he wouldn’t open the door, the filing states.
Once inside his hotel room, D’Elia — who via a spokesperson denied the claims — “grabbed” the teen’s hand & pleasured himself, according to the lawsuit. Afterward, D’Elia allegedly instructed the plaintiff to undress herself while he watched & then had sex with her despite the fact that she told him “several” times that she was 17 & still in high school.
The lawsuit claims D’Elia responded “hot” when told she was a minor. (Connecticut law says the age of consent is 16.)
“Chris denies these allegations & will vigorously defend against them in court,” a spokesperson for D’Elia told the Los Angeles Times.
D’Elia then “constructed a manipulative, controlling & abusive dynamic in which he demanded Ms. Doe provide him sexually explicit images of herself over the internet, directed her what specific sexual poses & acts she should perform for him & psychologically punished her when she refused,” the lawsuit alleges.
Over the course of 6 or 7 months, the teen reportedly sent D’Elia more than 100 sexually explicit photos & videos.
Their communication continued until May 2015, the lawsuit says. Doe turned 18 on Jan. 31, 2015.
The lawsuit seeks damages to be assessed at trial.

“I’m looking forward to hitting the top of the billboard charts along with bringing the element of Love back to the music scene,” said GregR&B.
The music industry has witnessed a series of evolution over the decades, growing to become a multi-billion-dollar market with several stakeholders. Tons of artists as well as music producers and even record labels have emerged in recent times. Unfortunately, one can hardly dispute the claim that a majority of the songs coming out of speakers nowadays have deviated from the true essence of making music, as they often lack content. However, GregR&B is looking to change this narrative, a claim substantiated by the creation of Hits On Fye Inc. and the recent launch of his album.
GregRnB delivers an amazing mix of entertaining yet thought-provoking lyrics on captivating sounds that will have the audience moving their body all day every day. The album, inspired by his true passion and love for R&B Soul music, was written by GregRnB. This is a further reiteration of the singer’s creativity and ingenuity with words as he creates magic through his voice.
The “Cuddle Moves” video has also continued to do good numbers across different platforms, as the singer pours his mind into every line illustrating the message of the song along with the beautiful vixen.

HOLTVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Thirteen people were killed Tuesday when an SUV carrying 25 people & a semitruck collided on a Southern California highway near the U.S.-Mexico border.
Twelve people were found dead when first responders reached the highway, which winds through fields in the agricultural southeastern corner of California. Another person died at a hospital, California Highway Patrol Chief Omar Watson said.
Authorities do not yet know if the driver of the Ford Expedition, who died in the crash, had stopped at a stop sign before crossing into the path of the big rig around 6:15 a.m., Watson said. The gravel-hauling semitruck hit the left side of the SUV, which appeared to have been pushed off the road that’s about 100 miles east of San Diego.
Watson described a grisly scene outside Holtville, a rural town about 11 miles north of the border with farms that grow vegetables & alfalfa for cattle feed. Officers arrived to find that some people had been ejected from the SUV onto the ground. Some of the passengers had pulled themselves from the wreckage, & others who were injured were wandering around.
A Ford Expedition typically seats eight people legally. The CHP did not immediately know why so many occupants had been crammed into the SUV.
“Obviously, that vehicle is not meant for that many people,” Watson said. “It’s unfortunate that that many people were put into that vehicle because there’s not enough safety constraints to safely keep those people in that vehicle.”
The driver of the big rig, which was hauling two trailers of gravel, was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
El Centro Regional Medical Center officials earlier reported there were 15 killed & more people in the SUV. Seven people were taken to that hospital, including one person who later died.
Washington (CNN) A third woman has accused Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of unwanted advances in 2019, The New York Times reported Monday, adding to an escalating crisis facing the governor in the wake of two sexual harassment allegations.
The woman, Anna Ruch, told the Times that Cuomo approached her during a crowded wedding reception in New York in 2019. Ruch told the newspaper she thanked Cuomo for his toast to the newlyweds, & in response, she says he put his hand on her bare lower back, which the Times said was exposed in an open-back dress.
When Ruch removed his hand, Cuomo allegedly told her she seemed "aggressive" as he put his hands on her cheeks, she recalled to the Times. Cuomo then asked if he could kiss her, Ruch said, & she distanced herself as he came closer.
"I was so confused & shocked and embarrassed," Ruch told the Times. "I turned my head away and didn't have words in that moment."
The newspaper also reported that Ruch says she was later told by a friend that Cuomo had kissed her cheek as she pulled away.
The latest accusation set off another torrent of criticism & new calls for Cuomo to resign, this time from New York Rep. Kathleen Rice, the first Democratic US House member to demand that the governor step down.
Ruch is the first woman to make an accusation against Cuomo who did not work for him. The other two women -- Lindsey Boylan & Charlotte Bennett -- who accused the governor of sexual harassment were both aides in the Cuomo administration.

A Spanish rapper is accused of hacking off his roommate’s penis with a 12-inch kitchen knife as part of a gruesome attempt to get attention on social media.
Aaron Beltran allegedly made a deal with Andrew Breach, an Oxford-educated British teacher, to amputate his manhood — with Breach agreeing to pay a fee depending on how many times the video was shared on YouTube, the Independent reported.
The payout ranged from $240, to a maximum of $3,000, according to the report.
Beltran now faces four & a half years behind bars if convicted of carrying out the grisly act in Zaragoza, Spain, in March 2019, the newspaper said.
“On the afternoon of March 8, just before 7:15 p.m. when both men were in the victim’s bedroom, Andrew tied his pajama cord round the bottom of his penis to avoid hemorrhaging,” the indictment reads.
“The accused, who was sat on a chair in front of him, cut his penis with a 12-inch kitchen knife which was never found because the accused got rid of it.”
A police officer told the court in eastern Spain that he found Breach, 35, who taught at a local language academy, bleeding heavily after the gory stunt.
Another officer said Breach had wanted to sever his penis because he did not feel like he was completely male.
“When interviewing the victim in hospital he told us the accused cut off his penis. Andrew said he did not feel 100 percent a man & wanted to get rid of his penis,” the cop told the court.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A California serial killer known as the “I-5 Strangler” in the 1970s and 1980s has been killed in the prison where he was serving multiple life sentences, state correctional officials said Monday.
A correctional officer doing rounds spotted Roger Reece Kibbe, 81, unresponsive in his cell at Mule Creek State Prison southeast of Sacramento shortly after midnight Sunday, officials said. They said they are investigating his death as a homicide.
His cellmate, Jason Budrow, was standing nearby, officials said. Kibbe was taken to a prison health care facility and pronounced dead less than 45 minutes later. Amador County’s chief coroner, sheriff’s Sgt. P. Weart, said he couldn’t give details on the death, citing the ongoing investigation.
Kibbe, a former suburban Sacramento furniture maker whose brother was a law enforcement officer, was initially convicted in 1991 of strangling 17-year-old Darcine Frackenpohl, who had run away from her home in Seattle.
Her nearly nude body was found by a jogger west of South Lake Tahoe below Echo Summit in September 1987, two to three weeks after she was killed. Her pink dress was discovered about 1,000 feet from the body.
Investigators at the time said Kibbe was also a suspect in six other killings believed linked to the ″I-5 Strangler,″ whose trademark was cutting his victims’ clothing in odd patterns. Several took place in the Sacramento and Stockton areas along Interstate 5.
Prosecutors then were unable to file charges in those cases, and he was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for Frackenpohl’s death.

Bay Area rapper Laney Keyz's home got riddled with bullets & it wasn't a drive-by ... it was a walk-up & it was all captured on some wild video.
TMZ has obtained surveillance footage that shows three men walk up to what we're told was Laney's L.A. home in the wee hours of Feb. 18 ... and you see them fire off several rounds at the property before they turn around & make a run for it.
One of the guys seems to linger to shoot a bit more, & eventually scrams with his cohorts. It doesn't appear anyone returned fire -- even though they react like that happened.
Anyway, law enforcement sources tell us LAPD officers located a number of shell casings on the ground where the shooting was reported, but they’ve come up empty thus far on possible suspects. Fortunately, we're told no one was injured in the gunfire ... an investigation's underway.
As for Laney ... sources familiar with the situation tell us he WAS inside during the shooting, but walked away unscathed. Our sources say no one can think of a motive as to why anyone shot at him, so the whole thing remains a mystery.
He ain't sticking around to crack the case, though -- we're told Laney moved the hell out and is on to another pad. Good idea ...

AP - A Louisiana State Police trooper has been suspended without pay for kicking & dragging a handcuffed Black man whose in-custody death remains unexplained & the subject of a federal civil rights investigation.
Body camera footage shows Master Trooper Kory York dragging Ronald Greene “on his stomach by the leg shackles” following a violent arrest and high-speed pursuit, according to internal State Police records obtained by The Associated Press.
The records are the first public acknowledgement by State Police that Greene was mistreated & they confirm details provided last year by an attorney for Greene’s family who viewed graphic body camera footage of the May 2019 arrest & likened it the police killing of George Floyd. The video shows troopers choking & beating the man, repeatedly jolting him with stun guns & dragging him face-down across the pavement, the attorney told AP.
State Police have repeatedly refused to publicly release the body camera footage. The agency has been tight lipped about Greene’s death & initially blamed the man’s fatal injuries on a car crash outside Monroe, La.
York, who turned his own body camera off on his way to the scene, was suspended without pay for 50 hours following an internal investigation that also led to the termination of another trooper, Chris Hollingsworth, who died in a single-car crash after learning he had been fired over his role in the incident. The AP last year published a 27-second audio clip from Hollingsworth’s body camera in which he can be heard telling a colleague, “I beat the ever-living f--- out of” Greene before he “all of a sudden he just went limp.”
Greene’s family has renewed calls for the release of bodycam video.
