NBA star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for COVID-19 -- AKA coronavirus -- just hours after his Utah Jazz teammate, Rudy Gobert, was diagnosed.

The 23-year-old All-Star has not publicly commented, but ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski says players seem to be pointing the finger at Gobert not taking proper precautions.

"Jazz players privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings," Woj says ... "Now a Jazz teammate has tested positive."

Media members are upset with Gobert also after he jokingly rubbed his hands all over mics and recorders while talking with reporters earlier this week (before he was formally diagnosed).

Of course, due to Gobert's health status ... Wednesday night's Jazz vs. Thunder game was postponed just minutes before tipoff and both teams were quarantined while the players were in the locker room.

The NBA has already suspended the season -- and there are rumblings play could resume in August ... but for now, league execs are trying to figure things out.

The coronavirus outbreak is wreaking havoc in the sports world -- several major events have been canceled or postponed ... including La Liga soccer games, ATP tennis tournaments and more.

As we previously reported, Charles Barkley is calling for the NCAA to cancel the March Madness tournament ... but so far, it's still scheduled to move forward.

With the NBA season suspended after Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, players from numerous teams have been told to self-quarantine for the time being.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors all had contact with the Jazz within the past 10 days and have been told to isolate themselves, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

According to Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor, Cavs assistant general manager Mike Gansey is currently scouting abroad and was hoping to get a flight out of Madrid on Friday.

At the same time, at least one Cleveland player is hopeful the team's relationship with the Cleveland Clinic will allow them to be tested as soon as Thursday.

The Cavaliers hosted Utah on March 2 in Cleveland. Those who played against the Jazz in recent days are already taking extra precautions.

"I'm sure I probably had contact with [Gobert]. But at the same time, like I said, [I'm] just taking precautions," Detroit's Langston Galloway said, per ESPN. "We've been washing our hands, and when the reports started coming out, everybody's kinda been on their hand sanitizer, washing their hands, just staying focused on that moment of, hey, [we have] interaction with a lot of different people and knowing that at the end of the day, you might've touched the ball, you might've interacted with a fan, and just being [cautious] with that going forward."

Shortly after the Jazz player, reportedly Gobert, tested positive for COVID-19, the NBA elected to suspend its season indefinitely. Later on Wednesday, the NBA G League did the same.

Globally, the coronavirus has infected more than 113,000, including 696 cases in the United States, where 25 people have died, per CNN.

The NBA guidelines for self-quarantining are currently undisclosed, but with no games scheduled for the foreseeable future, there is no need to hurry back to the court. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban noted that teams have been told they can continue to hold practices, but players should not have visitors from out of town.

"I trust Adam [Silver]. You know what? It's really not about basketball or money," Cuban said, per ESPN. "Literally, if this thing is exploding to the point where all of a sudden players and others have had it, you think about your family. You want to make sure you're doing this the right way. Now it's much more personal, and you've seen what's happened in other countries, but just the whole idea that it's come this close and potentially a couple players have it, just, 'stunning' isn't the right word. Just crazy."

The NBA is expected to hold a call with its board of governors at 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday to discuss the next steps, per ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

CHARLESTON, W.VA. (AP) — A West Virginia man convicted of filming an infant being sexually abused will likely spend life in prison.

Kanawha Circuit Judge Tera Salango sentenced Richard Smith II, 41, on Wednesday to serve a maximum of 775 years behind bars. He is technically eligible for parole in 205 years.

Smith was convicted last month of 11 counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in position of trust.

After handing down the sentence, Salango told Smith the videos he made that jurors had to watch “brought grown men to tears,” the Charleston Gazette-Mail reported.

“I think that you are one of the most evil persons who I’ve ever encountered,” Salango said.

Smith declined to speak before being sentenced.

Smith and his ex-girlfriend, Roseanna Thompson, were arrested in May 2018 and accused of recording Thompson’s granddaughter being abused three years prior, state police said at the time. The arrests came after troopers were tipped off that Smith had child pornography at his home, news outlets reported.

Thompson is scheduled to stand trial in April.

42 Dugg has racked up tens of millions of views on his singles, “Dog Food” and “You Da One,” featuring Yo Gotti. But this week, the 25-year-old Detroit rapper appeared in federal court for a gun possession charge.

The case dates back to November, when Dugg, née Dion Marquise Hayes, fired a 9mm Glock at Stoddard's Range and Guns in Atlanta.

Federal agents learned that 42 Dugg and two others visited the gun range on Nov. 8 after receiving a tip. Surveillance video shows the rapper possessing, loading, and firing the pistol, according to the complaint.

The rapper is not allowed to possess a firearm due to convictions for carjacking and felony firearms possession in 2010. He is being held without bond in Detroit while federal agents plan to extradite him to Atlanta.

42 Dugg is scheduled to perform this weekend at Little Caesars Arena for the March Badness tour, featuring appearances by Yo Gotti, Da Baby, Moneybagg Yo, and Kash Doll.

42 Dugg is signed jointly to Yo Gotti’s CMG label and Lil Baby’s 4FF Records.

NEW YORK (AP) — Harvey Weinstein was sentenced Wednesday to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault, a sight the disgraced Hollywood mogul’s multitude of accusers thought they would never see.

Weinstein, who has been accused of violating scores of women, was convicted last month of raping a once-aspiring actress in a New York City hotel room in 2013 and forcibly performing oral sex on former TV and film production assistant Mimi Haleyi at his apartment in 2006. He faced a maximum of 29 years in prison.

Both women confronting Weinstein again in court Wednesday after their testimony helped seal his conviction at the landmark #MeToo trial.

“It takes a very special kind of evil to exploit connections to leverage rape,” said the 2013 rape accuser.

“Rape is not just one moment of penetration. It is forever,” added the woman, who recalled a moment during the trial when she left the witness stand in tears and then could be heard screaming from an adjacent room.

“The day my screams were heard from the witness room was the day my voice came back to its full power,” she said.

Asked later about her reaction after the sentence, she wiped her eyes, raised her arm and nodded her head.

The Associated Press has a policy of not naming people who have been sexually assaulted without their consent. It is withholding the rape accuser’s name because it is not clear whether she wishes to be identified.

Weinstein, who has maintained that any sexual any sexual activity was consensual, showed no visible reaction to the sentence. Beforehand, he broke his courtroom silence with a rambling plea for mercy in which he said his “empathy has grown” since his downfall.

DaBaby's really not sorry for smacking the hell out of a woman over the weekend ... at least according to the victim, who says his apology is sorely lacking.

The woman on the receiving end of DaBaby's brutal slap, Tyronesha Laws, tells TMZ ... the rapper's mea culpa is empty and the proof is on his social media. Tyronesha got choked up when she told us about seeing a comedic skit about the incident the rapper posted.

We broke the story ... DaBaby brutally assaulted a fan Saturday night in Tampa on his way to the stage. Tyronesha told us what led up to the insanely violent blow, saying she wasn't even the person who put the flash in his face.

She says she's embarrassed by everything that's happened since that fateful moment, telling us it's really "hateful."

She's referring to DaBaby's skit with Michael Blackson -- they reenacted the incident, clearly making light of it, but Tyronesha ain't laughing.

She says online trolls are making her life, and her daughter's, a living hell.

Tyronesha's already lawyered up ... and says she was diagnosed with a bruised cheekbone as a result of the vicious smack.

DaBaby claimed he thought he was hitting a dude and did apologize ... but Tyronesha ain't buying what he's selling. Her attorney, Matt Morgan, tells us he's spoken with DaBaby's legal team and looks forward to continuing their discussions.

Josie Harris -- who has 3 children with Floyd Mayweather -- was found dead at her home in Valencia, CA on Monday night ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... officials were called to the home around 9:30 PM and when they arrived, they found 40-year-old Harris unresponsive in her car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. We're told there does not appear to be any foul play and the case is being treated as a death investigation as opposed to a homicide probe.

Josie had a tumultuous relationship with Mayweather. He was convicted of attacking her back in a 2010 domestic violence incident and later served 2 months behind bars.

Harris claims she was abused on 6 different occasions. But, the criminal case was centered around a Sept. 2010 incident when Harris claimed Floyd entered her Vegas home while she slept, pulled her hair and then attacked her in front of their children.

Harris claimed their oldest son, Koraun, snuck out of the home and alerted a security guard to call police.

Years later, Mayweather denied the violent allegations during an interview with Katie Couric ... saying, "Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone."

Harris was outraged by the interview and later sued Mayweather for more than $20 MILLION for defamation. The case is still ongoing.

Harris reportedly dated Mayweather from 1995 to 2010 and was an aspiring actress.
