LOS ANGELES (AP) — The parents of Bobby Brown Jr., son of singer Bobby Brown, said Tuesday that they want those responsible for his accidental overdose death held responsible & prosecutors said they are considering criminal charges.

In an autopsy report released Monday, the Los Angeles County coroner said 28-year-old Brown Jr. died Nov. 18 from the combined effects of cocaine, alcohol & the opioid fentanyl.

In a statement to The Associated Press, Brown Jr.’s parents & their attorney emphasized the fatal dose of fentanyl in his system, & its frequent unexpected presence in the street versions of other drugs.

“My family continues to mourn my son’s death,” Bobby Brown said in the statement. “This epidemic is out of control & those supplying this lethal drug should be held responsible for the death and destruction that it causes.”

Brown Jr.’s mother Kim Ward said he “associated himself with the wrong people.”

“My son is gone & those who contributed to his senseless death should be held accountable,” Ward said.

Police have presented prosecutors with a case related to the death and it is under review for possible charges, Los Angeles County district attorney’s spokesman Greg Risling said Tuesday. He gave no further details on the suspects or the circumstances.

According to interviews with police at the scene included in the autopsy report, Brown Jr. had drank tequila, snorted cocaine & used what he believed was oxycodone before his girlfriend found him unconscious on the bedroom floor of his Los Angeles home hours later.

In many recent cases, prosecutors have charged drug dealers directly in the deaths of those they provided drugs to, not simply with selling illegal drugs.

Hip-hop is regarded as one of the most wide-ranging
cultural movements. A good deal of hip-hop communicates
openly and in depth about aspects of urban hustle and
poverty. And the hold that hip-hoppers who speak about
street culture have on young individuals is amazing.
Thais Gonzalez is one such hip-hop artist whose
unique beats is turning heads. Here’s her story.

Thais Gonzalez has become a name to reckon with in the
hip-hop space. Previously known as “Princess Thais”,
she has now gained popularity among her fans as “Sweet
Té”(@iamsweette). Before setting the hip-hop world on
fire with her amazing and distinctive beats, Thais was
already a sensation in the world of
modelling, music, and poetry.

Thais’ singles which established her as a rising hip-hop
star were “Took His Money” and “Heat”. They were released
in 2018 and 2019 respectively and instantly caught on
across America and popular radio stations like Hot 97.
Thais credits the success of her singles to the legendary
Hip Hop land rapper Parrish Smith of EPMD who produced as
well as starred in both of them. No sooner were the
singles released than they started setting the clubs
in the United States on fire, making people groove to
Thais’ unique, rad beats. Soon, her hip-hop numbers
landed in the list of the most heard singles.

In 2020, Thais’ remix to Felix Felgado’s latest single
“On My New York Sh*t” got a grand release which put her
popularity on a spurt. Thais is also known for her
appearances in many music videos with famous artists
like Rich Homie Quan and Rick Ross.

What differentiates Thais from other hip-hop artists?
She answers, “I am not competing with anyone but myself.
I respect all artists and learn from them. Perhaps that
is what enables me to tune with them easily and
collaborate with top hip-hop artists.”

HOUSTON – Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson did have sexual encounters with “some” of the women accusing him of sexual assault, sources close to Watson tell KPRC 2’s Vanessa Richardson.

Those same sources insist the sexual encounters were “completely consensual.” They also said Watson had “non-sexual encounters” with some of the other accusers, where he was simply given a massage & there was no sexual contact.

Watson posted a statement on Twitter after Houston attorney Tony Buzbee announced the first lawsuit. In that statement, Watson vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

As of Tuesday, there have been 14 lawsuits filed.

Buzbee is representing all of the accusers, while attorney Rusty Hardin will represent Watson.

Hardin issued the following statement to TMZ.com:

“I want to emphasize at the outset that we & Deshaun recognize that sexual assault & harassment are not only unlawful, but morally wrong. It takes courage for women to come forward to report being mistreated, particularly when they attach their names to a lawsuit. We do not take these allegations lightly. However, fairness to the accused is equally as important.

“Opposing counsel has orchestrated a circus-like atmosphere by using social media to publicize 14 ‘Jane Doe’ lawsuits during the past seven days in a manner calculated to inflame the public & malign Deshaun’s otherwise sterling reputation.

“I believe that any allegation that Deshaun forced a woman to commit a sexual act is completely false. And in the one case in which we have been able to identify a plaintiff, we have strong evidence showing the allegation is false. In January of this year, a woman attempted to blackmail Deshaun by demanding $30,000 in exchange for her ‘indefinite silence’ about what she stated was a consensual encounter."

Video After The Jump

Gervonta Davis, the two-division champion who is one of boxing's rising stars, was indicted Monday in the Circuit Court of Baltimore on 14 counts of various traffic violations related to a hit-and-run crash last fall.

A native of Baltimore, the 26-year-old Davis was involved in a crash in the early morning hours of Nov. 5 after reportedly celebrating his birthday at a downtown club.

Among the 14 charges, Davis has been cited for failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failure to render assistance to an injured person & driving with both a suspended & revoked license. All are considered misdemeanors in Maryland with the most serious carrying up to a year in jail.

Court documents from the Baltimore City State's Attorney Office reported that Davis, who was driving a 2020 Lamborghini Uris, ran a red light at 1:47 a.m. ET & struck the front passenger side of a 2004 Toyota Solara. Video from a nearby convenience store saw Davis' car collide into the store's fence & became "disabled."

Witness accounts & video gathered during the investigation also showed that a black Camaro arrived at the scene shortly after the crash before passengers began transferring items from the Lamborghini to the Camaro. Davis & an unidentified female were also captured on camera fleeing the scene in the Camaro.

The Solara's airbags deployed and the vehicle was "destroyed. The 4 occupants of the car were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash. Gil Amaral, an attorney for the injured driver, says his client suffered "fairly serious injuries."

Leaving the scene of a crash can result in felony charges punishable by up to five years in prison, but only for a crash which produces serious injuries.

Davis (24-0, 23 KOs) currently holds the WBA super featherweight title & the WBA "regular" lightweight title.

(CNN) Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, the 21-year-old suspect in Monday's massacre at the King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, faces 10 counts of murder in the first degree, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said Tuesday.

The suspect is a resident of Arvada, Colorado & has "lived most of his life in the United States," Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said.

The suspect was shot during an exchange of gunfire at the supermarket Monday, suffered "a through and through" wound to his leg & was taken into custody at 3:28 p.m. Monday, Herold said.

He was sent to a hospital in stable condition, & was being treated there Tuesday, Herold said.

He will be taken to the Boulder County jail after treatment is finished, likely on Tuesday, Dougherty said.

"(It is) premature to draw any conclusions (about motive) at this point in time," FBI special agent in charge Michael Schneider said.

"We are going to do everything in our power to make sure this suspect has a thorough trial," & a thorough investigation will be done, Herold said.

The victims, according to Boulder police, are: Denny Strong, 20, Neven Stanisic, 23, Rikki Olds, 25, Tralona Bartkowiak, 49, Teri Leiker, 51, Eric Talley, 51, Suzanne Fountain, 59, Kevin Mahoney, 61, Lynn Murray, 62, and Jodi Waters, 65.

PEARL RIVER, La. — A priest & two women were charged after they had sex on a church altar & filmed the interaction.

Travis Clark, 37, a former pastor at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, was caught video taping himself having sex with two dominatrices on the church’s altar in September.

The St. Tammany District Attorney’s Office said Clark & the women, Mindy Lynn Dixon, 41, of Washington & Melissa Kamon Cheng, 28, of Georgia, were charged with institutional vandalism on Thursday.

All three “knowingly vandalizing, defacing, or otherwise damaging property & causing damage valued at over $500 & under $50,000,” District Attorney Warren Montgomery said.

The three were originally charged with obscenity charges because they could clearly be seen from the street but those charges were reduced to the lesser counts of vandalism.

“It is clear the State went out of its way to contort the facts of this case in order to fit their own narrative,” Bradley S. Phillips, an attorney for Dixon and Cheng, told WWL. “Once again, they have overstepped their bounds at this nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to regulate the morality of private individuals. Just because you don’t like something, doesn’t make it criminal. My clients look forward to their day in court as we continue to fight this baseless allegation.”

The altar was removed & burned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Archbishop Gregory Aymond consecrated a replacement altar & Clark was removed from the ministry.

“His obscene behavior was deplorable,” Aymond told WWL. “His desecration of the altar in Church was demonic. I am infuriated by his actions. When the details became clear, we had the altar removed & burned.”

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A shooting at a crowded Colorado supermarket that killed 10 people, including the first police officer to arrive, sent terrorized shoppers and workers scrambling for safety and stunned a state that has grieved several mass killings. A lone suspect was in custody.

Hundreds of police officers from throughout the Denver metropolitan area responded to the Monday afternoon attack, converging on a King Soopers supermarket in a busy shopping plaza in southern Boulder. SWAT officers carrying ballistic shields slowly approached the store as others quickly escorted frightened people away from the building, some of its windows shattered. Customers & employees fled through a back loading dock to safety. Others took refuge in nearby shops.

One suspect was in custody, a tearful Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said late Monday. Authorities didn’t identify the suspect, though Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said the suspect was the only person injured & was receiving medical care.

Officers had escorted a shirtless man in handcuffs, blood running down his leg, from the store during the siege. Authorities would not say if he was the suspect. Foothills Hospital in Boulder was treating one person from the shooting scene but refused further comment, said Rich Sheehan, spokesman for Boulder Community Health, which operates the hospital.

“This is a tragedy & a nightmare for Boulder County,” Dougherty said. “These were people going about their day, doing their shopping. I promise the victims & the people of the state of Colorado that we will secure justice.”

Herold identified the slain officer as Eric Talley, 51, who had been with Boulder police since 2010. He was the first to arrive after responding to a call about shots fired & someone carrying a rifle.

LOS ANGELES (WVUE) - NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, was taken into FBI custody Monday afternoon.

Police attempted to stop a vehicle the rapper was in, who reportedly had an outstanding federal warrant.

After a short pursuit, Gaulden attempted to flee on foot. Police reportedly used a K-9 unit to track him down.

He was arrested and taken into custody around 1 p.m.

In September 2020, Gaulden & 16 others were arrested on drug & firearm charges while filming a music video in Baton Rouge. In December, Baton Rouge police were ordered to return more than $40,000 in cash, a $300,000 cashier’s check & two diamond chains that were confiscated during the arrest.

He was freed on a $75,000 bond.

Gaulden currently lives in Los Angeles after being evicted from his home in Louisiana for filming a music video on the property, which violated his lease agreement.

Gaulden was YouTube’s most-viewed artist in 2019, beating out top pop stars like Billie Eilish, Drake, Taylor Swift, and Post Malone.

Yaya Mayweather, daughter of champion boxer Floyd Mayweather, wrote on her Instagram story that her “day has been completely ruined” after finding out about the news. Earlier this year, Yaya gave birth to YoungBoy’s son, Kentrell Gaulden, Jr.
