Over a month has passed since rumor sprouted surrounding legendary Geto Boys' MC Bushwick Bill's no-show at the June taping of VH1's 2010 Hip Hop Honors. At the time, there was some speculation that he'd been arrested on unknown charges before he was scheduled to perform during the Rap-A-Lot Records dedication to honor the label's founder, J. Prince.

While those charges or the arrest have yet to be confirmed, Bill is definitely in some hot water. Today, the Jamaican-born MC faced deportation proceedings in Atlanta Immigration Court. The cause for the ongoing case is also unknown.

The former member of the pioneering, Houston-based gangsta rap group, Geto Boys, was born Richard Shaw in Jamaica in 1966, but raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, New York (hence his stage name), before relocating to Houston in the ’80s.

Despite his small stature, he made a huge impact among the trio that included rap icons Scarface and Willie D. Their early, Southern gothic mix of sociopolitical gangster narratives, tales of paranoia and vulnerability ("Mind Playing Tricks") and psychotic trips ("Mind of a Lunatic") earned labels ranging from reality rap to horrorcore. Of course, Bill became the center of attention in 1991, after accidentally shooting himself in the eye during an episode with a girlfriend that, to this day, remains shrouded in a self-admitted haze of drunkenness, depression and suicidal thoughts — which he later rapped about on the single, "Ever So Clear," from his debut solo album. The cover for Geto Boys' 1991 release We Can't Be Stopped (Rap-A-Lot) features a photo taken during his resulting hospital stay, with Willie D and Scarface on either side of his gurney while Bushwick, his left eye grotesquely swollen and bloodied, posed with a dope boy cellular phone up to his ear while wearing a hospital gown.

But in recent years, Bill made a 180-degree turn, switching from gangsta to gospel rap. He dropped his gospel debut, The Testimony of Redemption late last year on G-S.P.O.T. Productionz (God's Special Purpose of Talent). In the video (below) for the title track, he recounts his journey from Geto Boy to gospel-rapping ordained minister.

CL contributor Ben Westhoff had arranged an interview to discuss his transformation earlier this year with Bushwick Bill, who was residing in Atlanta. But it never happened. We hope to speak to Bill's lawyer soon. Stay tuned for more information on this ongoing case.

The Houston rap duo of Paul Wall aka 'The People's Champ' and Chamillionaire 'The Mixtape Messiah' have put in a long 11 year grind to reach the place they're at in their careers.

The two friends from high school formed the group, The Color Changin' Click and began to grow a large southern audience through their mixtapes and album 'Get Ya Mind Correct'.

The friendship soured at one point and the two parted ways only to come back together recently.

Paul and Cham sat down with Hard Knock TV and talked about coming up in the game, being a mixed race group

"Major labels would get excited about something like that [a mixed race rap group] cause they'd see some kind of gimmick," Cham says. "But that's what makes us authentic because it was more natural. A lot of people didn't even know Paul was white at first. They used to hear the freestyles and didn't know."

Paul said that a lot of people mistook him for being hispanic or Louisiana Creole in the beginning.

Like with any other group, Paul and Cham had to fight to get that initial respect.

"I think at the time [the beginning] maybe it might have been like there were a whole bunch of people already established and we were just the two new guys. So looking at us they were like 'what is this coming into this new situation?' Cham explains. "Then as time progressed we started to earn our respect."

Paul did remember one time when race was an issue early in their careers..

"We used to do a lot of shows in Pensacola, Roy Jones Jr [boxer] had a club, 'Star 69'. We were first coming up we did a show there, the show was sold out," Paul tells Hard Knock. "I went to the bar to get something to drink and I overheard someone next to me say 'when Paul Wall coming on stage?' And I just leaned over and said 'yeah wassup man I'm bout to go on in about 20 minutes. And he's looking at me like I was crazy. He was like 'why you talking to me?' 'Nah you just said Paul Wall and I'm Paul Wall' and he was just puzzled like 'nah nah'. Then later on after the show he came up and was just laughing and i said 'what's up?'. He said 'mam I'm just torn between two worlds cause I hate white people with a passion, I hate crackers, but you're my favorite rapper so I don't know if I should love you or hate you. Damn I just gotta love you cause I love your music'".

Paul Wall's new cd 'Heart Of A Champion' is in stores now so go cop that.

HOUSTON - A Brazilian model who lives in Houston wanted to have the largest breasts in the world; she must now undergo surgery and is in the fight for her life.

Sheyla Hershey was able to achieve her goal of having the largest breasts in the world when she had M-cup implants put into place. She soon removed them and downgraded to a smaller size when she learned she was pregnant in 2009.

After more than 30 plastic surgeries, Hershey suffered her first complication following her most recent breast augmentation procedure in June. Her youngest child's first birthday was only days away.

A severe staph infection reached both of Hershey's breasts.

She had the augmentation surgery in Brazil, but came home to Houston for help. Hershey says the new surgeon told her she should be concerned for her life. Staph infections can enter the bloodstream and be life threatening. Hershey is also very concerned about losing one of her breasts. She has had to give herself infusions of intravenous antibiotics every twelve hours to fight the infection.

The treatment has helped one breast, but doctors say the other one is still in jeopardy. That would mean that she will not only lose both implants, but quite possibly need to have the entire breast removed.

Doctors took Hershey into surgery on Tuesday morning to remove the implants.

"I had large fever and painful. I just couldn't breathe properly; it was terrible! I was in bed all day, couldn't get up," says Hershey.

Hershey says she is trying to work through her obsession with plastic surgery. She says she wants to just be a mother. Her young son has asked her for a while to reduce her breast size. Even though she is being forced to do so because of a medical emergency, she admits that it is time.

(AllHipHop News) Rock from the acclaimed group Heltah Skeltah has been found not guilty in an attempted murder case stemming from a shooting incident that left a pimp paralyzed.

Dru Ha, the CEO of Duck Down Records, made the announcement.

"Exhale for Rock & congratulations to his attorney Kenneth Montgomery for the NOT GUILTY VERDICT! Incredible job," Dru Ha said via Twitter.

Rock was accused of being a moonlighting as a pimp at night and shooting a rival in January of 2008. He was eventually released on $125,000 bail and proclaimed his innocent in the alleged shooting, assault and the assertion that he is a pimp.

Despite the legal matters, Rock refused to sensationalize the case and released D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) with Heltah Skeltah rap partner Sean "Ruck" Price later in 2008.

Rock was party to a recent celebration of Duck Down's 15th Anniversary on Tuesday at BB King's Club in New York.

The ego driven, self proclaimed, cash cow, Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. beat out fellow boxer Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and MMA superstar GSP for the 2010 Espn Espy award of “Best Fighter.”

Floyd Mayweather won the “Best Fighter” Espy award in 2008. When Mayweather retired from boxing Manny Pacquiao won it the following year.

The Espy’s is an award show where the fans get to vote for their favorite athletes in different award categories. Floyd Mayweather had the fan advantage in the polls giving him the edge over his welterweight rival Manny Pacquiao and UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre.

Pacquiao won the BWAA (Boxing Writers Association of America) awards for “Fighter of the Year” and “Fighter of the Decade” which is voted on by members of the BWAA but Mayweather won the popularity vote when he bested Manny Pacquiao for the Espy.

This was interesting situation because Pacquiao is known for his rabid fan base and the stigma surrounding Mayweather was he didn’t have any fans and they only pay to see him lose, tonight’s Espy awards proved otherwise, Mayweather was the fan favorite tonight over Manny Pacquiao.

Did the negative impact of steroid accusations from the Mayweather camp ruin Pacquiao’s image among the fans or were they just more impressed with Floyd Mayweathers dominating performance over Sugar Shane Mosley and not with Pacquiao’s fight against Joshua Clottey?

Do think the right fighter won the award?

No doubt we need police to protect us and most do their jobs correctly. But there are a few rouge thugs with badges that use their authority to abuse the people they are paid to help.

Case in point, third grade teacher, 57 year old Janice Wells called Richland, Georgia police to report a prowler outside of her home. What should have been a routine check for a criminal by police ended up being a brutal case of police brutality.

Officer Tim Murphy became enraged because Ms. Wells would not give him the name of a person inside her house.

Ms Wells had called longtime friend John Robinson to come and wait with her until police arrived. Officer Murphy asked him how long he'd known Ms Wells, the status of their relationship and where he lived. He never asked Robinson his name.

He then allowed Robinson to leave and asked Wells his name which she refused to give him. After that she was pepper sprayed and told she would be arrested.

Murphy called for backup. When Officer Ryan Smith arrived he Tasered Wells at least 12 times.

Ms Well told the Atlanta Journal Constitution, "All of it's just unreal to me. I was scared to death. "He kept tasing me and tasing me. My fingernails are still burned. My leg, back and my butt had a long scar on it for days."

A third officer who has known Ms Wells for years responded to the call and got there just as the last Taser was being fired. He thinks there was a racial component to the incident.

“I don’t think they would have done a white female like that,” said Sheriff Larry Jones, who is black. “If they had, it wouldn’t have been any doubt about whether they need to be terminated."

Ms Wells is heard on the tape crying and begging, "Please don't do that, sir I aint do nothing, I teach school"

Smith replies by repeatedly telling her to "Get in the car! You gonna get it again" At one point the idiot shocks himself "Sh*t it's getting me" he says. He then asks Officer Murphy if he had mased her yet. "Yeah, she took a load of it," Murphy replies.

Ms Wells is contemplating filing a lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Officer Murphy has been fired and Smith quit eight days after the incident. However Smith isn't at all sorry for his actions. "I did what I had to do to take control of the situation."

Lumpkin Police Chief Steven Ogle was shocked when he saw the tape

"I couldn’t believe it,” Ogle said. “You don’t use it [a Taser] for punitive reasons, to prod someone. It was evident it was an improper use of force. He was an excellent officer other than that incident."

Sheriff Jones said it was hard to keep his composure as Ms Wells begged him for help when he arrived. “Larry, help me,” Wells said as the sheriff walked up. “Larry, I didn’t do nothing, you know I don't get in trouble, Larry you know I don't."

Later that night, Jones bonded Wells out of jail and drove her to an area hospital to be examined

Officer Smith is already back at work for another police department

(CNN) -- George Steinbrenner was a "cracker who made a lot of African-American millionaires," conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday of the New York Yankees owner who died earlier in the day from a heart attack

"He fired a bunch of white guys as managers left and right," Limbaugh said.

The comments prompted civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton to rebuke the radio talker, calling his comments "repugnant and offensive whether they were intended to be facetious or tongue and cheek."

"For the last 20 years I have known George Steinbrenner, and we have quarrelled over diversity and community programs, but I always found him fair, direct, and genuinely prone to do what he felt was right," Sharpton said, adding that Limbaugh owed the Steinbrenner family an apology "that the first day of their mourning to have to be subjected to this type of rhetoric."

Premiere Radio Networks, which broadcast Limbaugh's show, has not responded to requests for comment.

It's not the first time Limbaugh, sports and race have caused a stir. He resigned from ESPN in 2003 after saying on air that "the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well."

"They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well," he said during a discussion of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. "I think there's a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn't deserve."

That comment came back to haunt him last year when he joined a consortium that sought to buy the St. Louis Rams. He was ultimately dropped from the group after a firestorm of criticism swarmed around his presence.

Limbaugh has frequently lambasted celebratory dances performed by National Football League players after scoring touchdowns ("a cultural problem ... that has resulted in a total lack of class") and assailed the game itself for its aggressive nature.

"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it," he said in 2007.

Limbaugh denies any of his comments are racist.

Lindsay Lohan's 'Machete' promo poster is hidden deep on the movie's website, but it sure is causing a stir! Lohan -- who will begin her 90-day prison sentence on July 20 -- is dressed in a nun's habit and licking a gun. In the film, Lohan plays a gun-toting avenger called "The Sister."

Days after the actress was sentenced for violating her probation, the film's trailer was released without Lohan -- though her name briefly appears in the credits. In the film, Lohan reportedly goes topless while swimming in a waterfall with Alicia Rachel Marek, the actress who plays her mother.

Robert Rodriguez's film also stars Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro and Michelle Rodriguez. It will be released September 3.

Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program for violating her probation on a previous DUI case. Lohan broke down in tears as Judge Marsha Revel revealed her decision. Lohan must surrender to the court on July 20 at 8:30AM to begin serving her time.

Lohan posed with a gun to her mouth for a Tyler Shields photo shoot earlier this year.

'Machete' hits theaters September 3
