Video After The JumpThe recent parody of Waka Flocka's song "Hard In The Paint" where actors portray President Barack Obama and First Lady, Michelle as weed smoking, liquor drinking party animals is obviously intended to be funny. The only problem is, not everyone is laughing.
In a New York Times article about the video "Baracka Flacka Flames (Head Of The State), both Waka and his mom/manager Debra Antney, voiced their displeasure with how African Americans are portrayed in the clip.
“That they used it to be so sarcastic, it was almost a form of disrespect,” Waka said. Although he did share the link to the video on his twitter account.
Waka claims he tweeted the video to over 214,000 twitter followers to “let other people see how ignorant other people can be."
His mom didn't mince words at all though. “That’s not a positive image for us, period, as African-Americans, where we came from, where we’re going today,” she said.
Comedians have been making fun of our Presidents forever though. In stand up routines, on tv shows like Saturday Night Live and Chappelle's Show for example, the President is always made to look like an idiot.
Harold and Kumar smoke weed with an actor portraying George Bush in the movie 'Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.' It's one of the funniest scenes in the movie. I don't remember people whining about Bush being portrayed as a pothead either.

People need to lighten up and learn to take a joke for what it is. Either that or stop watching comedy.
It's even possible we could see another Baracka Flacka Flames video in the future. Actor/comedian James Davis says Obama is one of the few people people he can accurately impersonate.
“There’s a lot of impersonations I’m just naturally horrible at. I’m lucky the one I’m good at is the president," he said.
