Video After The Jump Nicki Minaj hit up the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage last night to perform "Right Thru Me", off her debut album 'Pink Friday.' This is the 3rd time I've seen her perform this song live, and by far this was the best performance of the three. In the first two performances she was noticeably nervous, barely moving, never stepping away from the mic stand. But she her old self last night, despite the horrible sound mix. Perhaps buoyed by the expected steller 1st week sales of her album, the Harajuku Barbie was very animated with her vocals, movements and facial expressions. twitter-5d.gif

The great Jesse Owens once said, 'We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.'
It's been a long road for Camden, NJ's native son. Over a year removed from his Streetsweepers affiliation and well-publicized legal issues, Big Lou may have stumbled upon the title of the creator of 'The Greatest Mixtape Ever' by an unsigned artist. Not to imply that this Hip Hop masterpiece was an accident, but stating that it turned out the way it was planned would be an overreach.


It's no secret that every unknown rapper longs to make their mark in Hip Hop via the mixtape circuit. While no longer a lucrative market and one that has been saturated by every person aspiring to achieve greatness in this genre, some of rap music's biggest artists would still be relatively unknown without this gateway.


In early 2009 Big Lou and the label he created, Lost City Records, started to pen up ideas for his debut mixtape post Streetsweepers. The challenge was a difficult one considering that the 'Playtime's Over' project released by DJ Kay Slay although well received, did not generate the buzz that his first major release, 'Resurrecting the Dead,' received despite Kay Slay's powerful platforms on NY's Hot 97 and Shade 45 radio stations. When asked about the different reception both projects received, Big Lou said, 'When I dropped 'Resurrecting the Dead,' it took over 8 months to finish it. It was put together with detail and every track and skit set up the track that followed. It was like a movie. Kay Slay just talked a lot on the other project. There was nothing to it other than good tracks. The fans immediately felt the absence of my input. Basically it was more a Kay Slay mixtape than a Big Lou Mixtape.'


Big Lou's new project, 'The Goya Product With A Twist of Soul Food,' never had a shot to end as it was designed. Once the industry got wind of the broken marriage to Streetsweepers, the backlash that was expected by Big Lou and his camp never came and soon artists and DJs who actually stayed away because of the affiliation, immediately started to call. The result has been one of the most impressive line-ups by an unsigned artist in the history of the mixtape circuit.


With artists such as Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Immortal Technique, Cassidy, Krutch, Pitbull, Math Hoffa, Jeru Da Damaja, Cuban Link, Nino Bless, Sav Killz, Chino XL, Mike Beck, Jaz 0, Mysonne, Termanology, DJ Camilo, DJ Vlad, Tony Touch, Nu Jerzey Devil, Dio and over 25 other artists, this project evolved into a masterpiece that will undoubtedly be debated for years by Hip Hop fans all over the world. 'Is this the greatest Mixtape Ever Made?' Like all treasures before us, only time will make that distinction.

And even worse if they're abusing it to buy drugs instead of feeding their children. When police in Wellston, Missouri busted a crack house recently, they found more than 60 food stamp and child support cards. "It hurts and infuriates me to think it's my tax dollars they're using to buy drugs," said Wellston Police Chief G. Thomas Walker told KTVI. In Missouri food stamps come in the form of debit cards, child support can also be put on the cards. "It appears the suspect was accepting not only cash, jewelry, electronics, but also food stamp cards, social security cards, child support cards, and we also believe that he was producing pornography out of the residence. We believe some of his payment was in favors," said an undercover detective. Cops say they plan on busting the drug addicts as well. Gurgaon police commissioner S Deswal, who led a recent raid told News.Com.AU: "We found many male passengers in the women's coach. The moment the women saw us, they got the courage to teach the men a lesson. "We want our young girls and women to feel confident and safe while travelling in the metro." Warren G Gives Health Update On Nate Dogg. Says They Will Be Asking For Donations To Help With His Medical Bills & Recovery From 2 Strokes [Video]

He and Warren G helped pioneer that West Coast G-Funk style of music. And when it came to singing hooks, the man had the game on lock. After suffering two debilitating strokes, Nate is on the tough road back to recovery. In a recent interview with Hip Hop Hollywood, good friend Warren G talked about Nate's progress. "Nate is in a lot of therapy right now. We actually got a website coming out where people can send donations," Warren said. "That's gonna help out with him, help him get back on his feet. Plus us in the industry, we're gonna do a lot to help out with him." When asked if Nate would ever sing again, Warren said he was hopeful. "Everybody just gotta keep him in their prayers, cause he had two strokes and that's real dangerous. And a lot of people don't come back from that. "I spoke to Fif, he's working on Before I Self Destruct 2, so you know you gotta check that out," Sasha said. Now that's what I'm talking about, hopefully there's major payback coming in the sequel. If today you tried to log in to one of your favorite sites that allowed the downloading of pirated movies, music, music videos or sold counterfeit goods, chances are it's gone. The Department of Justice, Homeland Security Investigations and National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center have been quite busy the last couple of days. Lots of hip hop fans were in shock when they signed on to RapGodfathers,com and OnSmash yesterday, only to find the sites had been seized by ICE. But those seizures were just tip of the iceberg. Dozens of other domains have fallen victim in the U.S. Government's latest attempt to shut down rampant piracy and bootlegging that is costing the record industry, movie companies and clothing manufacturers billions of dollars annually. As you would expect, lots of domain owners were caught completely off guard. “My domain has been seized without any previous complaint or notice from any court!” the owner of Torrent-Finder told TorrentFreak. “I firstly had DNS downtime. While I was contacting GoDaddy I noticed the DNS had changed. Godaddy had no idea what was going on and until now they do not understand the situation and they say it was totally from ICANN." Cori W. Baqssett, a spokewoman for Ice confirmed the seizures in a statement to the New York Times. “ICE office of Homeland Security Investigations executed court-ordered seizure warrants against a number of domain names. As this is an ongoing investigation, there are no additional details available at this time," she said. Christina Milian Cashes In To The Tune Of $4 Miilion Dollars In Her Divorce Settlement From The-Dream

Christina Milian has millions of reasons to smile today. The L.A. Times is reporting the singer got nice chunk of change in her divorce settlement from The-Dream. Dream has to cough up a limp sum of $4 million plus $5,000 a month in child support. Not a bad payday for a marriage that didn't even last a year. The pair were married in September 2009, but by July 2010, The-Dream was photographed all boo-boo up with his assistant.
