In an interview published this week, Soulja said Baby and his brother Slim had already met with him face to face to talk business.
“I met with Baby and Slim down in Miami. He’s trying to get me to come over to Cash Money," Soulja said at the time. “I’ve been a fan of Cash Money since I was young. I’ve been listening to Birdman’s music since I was growing up. I would have never thought”
A huge stumbling to any new record deal for Soulja, would be the fact he is still legally obligated to Interscope Records for two more albums.
Birdman says he has never tried to sign Soulja Boy, and wouldn't be attempting to while he is under contract.
"YMCMB busine$$ real talk.I neva tried 2 sign n0b0dy thts already sign 2 s0meb0dy.we d0nt r0ck like tht.I neva tried 2 sign s0ulja.but I respect tha lil h0mey wrk keep getn it$$$$," Birdman wrote in a tweet.
Whose story do you believe? Soulja Boy or Baby's?
