Ciara Signs Deal With Warner Bros. Records

73791611?profile=original

We're not even a full month into 2017 and it's already shaping up to be a great year for Ciara.

The 31-year old singer is expecting her second child ... the first with husband Russell Wilson, and she's just signed a new record deal with Warner Bros.

"Warner Brothers Records!!! Lets Get It! Proud to announce and honored to join the family! I’m supercharged to make the World Dance again!" she tweeted Friday, January 27.

"We welcome Ciara to Warner Bros. Records and look forward to the next chapter of her storied music career," said Cameron Strang, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Records, in a statement.

Cici has released six studio albums, beginning in 2004. The last two were with Epic Records. Prior to that she was signed to Jive.

We'd like to congratulate Ciara on the new deal and look forward to hearing her next project.

Video After The Jump

Robin Thicke and his ex-wife Paula Patton are involved in a nasty legal battle, with both seeking sole custody of their 6-year old son, Julian.

E! News reports that Patton is trying to prove Thicke is unfit. She's accusing him of spanking their child excessively. In Patton's declaration to the court she also alleges that the "Blurred Lines" singer cheating on and physically abused her. Citing alleged instances when he "kicked, pushed and hit" her.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is reportedly investigating the allegations of child abuse.

Thicke said his son told school officials that his dad had spanked him. The school then notified DCFS.

"On a very rare occasion, and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law—open hand on the butt," Thicke explained. "This is the type of discipline to which Paula and I agreed during our marriage."

On Thursday, January 26, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Thicke "has a history of domestic violence." Patton was granted a temporary restraining order, which gives her sole custody of Julian until the next court date on February 24

12352520672?profile=original

Thicke was ordered not to come within 100 yards of Patton, her mother and Julian, other than supervised visits with his son. He will be allowed to see Julian three days a week at a neutral location.

The singer's attorney, Angela Pierce di Donato, says the DCFS will be closing the case against her client because they could not find proof that Julian had been harmed by his father.

“The Court issued temporary orders today based solely on paperwork,” she told PEOPLE. “[L.A.’s Department of Children & Family Services] will be closing the physical abuse allegation against Robin as ‘Unfounded,’ but has added an emotional abuse allegation against Paula, which remains under investigation. We believe that DCFS sees the damage that Paula has done to Julian and will take appropriate action to protect him.”

Despite Donato's claims, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the “investigation is ongoing" and Patton is not being looked into by the agency.

12352520689?profile=original

Donato told PEOPLE that “Paula never reported any domestic violence until she was in a position of contempt by violating the custody orders. Infidelity has nothing to do with custody. She is attempting to throw anything at him to hurt him, but Robin’s focus is their son.”

Patton and Thicke divorced on March 20, 2015, after almost 9 years of marriage.

Video After The Jump

Chief Keef was arrested at his Tarzana, California home on Thursday, January 26, by special operations officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, in connection with a home invasion robbery that allegedly occurred last week.

In videos posted to his Instagram account, a visibly battered and bruised producer by the name of Ramsay Tha Great, claimed the wife of Chief Keef's former manager, Uncle Ro, called the 21-year old "I Don't Like" rapper to tell him to calm down.

12352520080?profile=original

"Fifteen minutes later somebody opening my door, kicking down my door talking about 'It's Sosa,'" Ramsay says in one of the clips. "So, I opened the door. I done produced songs for him, met him a couple of times ... I didn't think nothing was wrong. I opened the door, boom! He pushed me in. A nigga behind him got a Draco AK-47 looking thing. He started hitting me in the face. [Glo Gang artist] Tadoe started hitting me in the face."

Keef allegedly stole a ring, a Rolex and $1600 from the producer.

"It was a violent home invasion involving firearms being pointed at victims," LAPD Capt. Brian Pratt told KNBC-TV Channel 4. "The detectives did some really great follow up investigation. Witnesses came forward and identified who our suspects were. We knew who we were going after – we weren’t just shooting in the dark."

Keef and four others were taken into custody without incident.

12352520298?profile=original

Ramsay says he is going to file a lawsuit.

"@chieffkeeffsossa now if I was a celebrity I wouldn't come personally jump a person with you five friends and a Ak 47 that's just dumb your famous ......... now I'm taking everything from you," he captioned an Instagram photo. U really just fucked up dude coming to my house with your phone in your pocket with the location on........ yea I'm pressing charges on yo ass. Video After The Jump

Earlier this week President Trump threatened to send federal government agencies to Chicago in an effort to quell violence in the city that claimed the lives of 716 people in 2016, and 46 so far this year.

"If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!" Trump tweeted on Tuesday, January 24.

12352511855?profile=original

When TMZ caught up with Chi-town native, Common, he had a much different take on how to fix the problem.

"For me, I feel like to help Chicago we gotta take care of our own," the rapper and actor said. "Within the community we gotta do things. It's a lot of people out there already organizing and doing things. We need our state and local people to do things. We don't need [Trump's] type of mentality. I'm not focused on the president right now. I'm focused on helping the people in the city and how we can do it."

12352512089?profile=original

When he was asked if he believed Trump's idea would basically be declaring martial law and lead to more problems, Common didn't disagree.

"You think?" he responded. "My message is for the people of Chicago, not to the president. I'm not thinking about the president like that. I'm saying we gon' help each other. I'm from Chicago, so I'm telling the people from Chicago we gon' work with the grass roots groups ... the state and the local. And that's how we gon' do it."

What are your thoughts on the violence in Chicago and possible solutions to reverse the current trend? Do you like Common's ideas?

Sitches has run into some legal trouble in Miami.

TMZ reports the 21-year old rapper, born Phillip Nickolas Katsabanis, was arrested Wednesday night, January 25, after cops discovered a gun and marijuana in his Porsche.

Katsabanis was spotted backing out of a handicap parking space at a Whole Foods Market.  He immediately knew he was in trouble and handed police a half smoked joint, but lied to officers when asked if he had a gun in his possession.

When the vehicle was searched a Glock was found, along with two magazines of ammunition. In addition, police discovered one oxycodone and a jar containing 39.2 grams of weed.

Regarding the gun, Katsabanis told police he was confused and thought they were asking if he had a gun on him, not in the car.

12352520869?profile=original

Katsabanis was hauled off to jail and charged with felony gun and weed possession.

Stitches has released three mixtapes and two albums, beginning in 2014, but is primarily know for his 2015 beef with The Game and subsequently getting knocked out by the Compton rapper's manager, Wack 100.

Creative artist and producer Lord Haiti has come back onto the music scene with a visual and audio representation of rhythmic fusion and anime action. His latest release, “Drifting Off A Bebop: Time for Some Action” chronicles a male (cartoon) character, first appearing to be drifting to the music in his headphones, when he is attacked by muggers, only to take action and defeat them on his own. This theme of heroism is repeatedly depicted with clips from other anime based action cartoons such as Dragon Ball Z. The music score for this short action film comes with light lead sounds from a flute, carried over a simplistic bass track, blended with instrumental harmonies and fading into a vibe worthy, melodic abyss.
