The streets were on fire in Baltimore, Maryland on Monday, April 27, as looters caused mayhem, but one mother taught her son a lesson he won't soon forget.
After seeing her son on the streets in the midst of the chaos, dressed in black from head to toe, looking for trouble, the mother grabbed him and slapped him around as CNN television cameras rolled.
Watch below.
**UPDATE** April 30
16-year old Michael Singleton learned a couple of valuable lessons earlier this week when he received the whipping seen around the world.
The teenager now has a better appreciation of how much his mother, Tonya Graham, loves him and has a clearer picture of how he wants to live his life.
“I understand how much my mother really cares about me. I just got to try to do better," Singleton told ABC News.
Michael's mother is known in the community as a person who is not going to stand for nonsense.
"All my friends know my mother. Every time they see her they’re like, 'Tonya coming.' Oh, yeah she’s coming. Everybody better get straight," he said.
"To see him down there, doing what he was doing, we're not doing that," Graham said. "I'm not angry with him anymore. As long as I have breath in my body, you will not be on the streets, selling drugs, you just not going to live like that.”

When interviewing Eminem recently, Sway asked Em who the top 5 greatest were. One of the first names he mentioned was, Kool G Rap.
We had the pleasure of having the legendary Kool G Rap in the studio with Necro to humbly speak about major influences that have impacted their careers. If you're not familiar with Kool G, he is one of the greatest of our times, with tracks like: Men at Work, Road to Riches, Streets of New York.
Sway got in depth with the Kool G about the first time he wrote a rap, what initially inspired him, how he linked with first label, and which rappers in the game he is currently vibing to.
"The first time I ever was in the presence of hip-hop I was nine years old.... Instamatic love for it, hip-hop is just that influential," said Cool G when asked about his first interaction with hip-hop.
Necro also spoke to us about the ways that G Rap has influenced him and his intellectual craft, and he doesn't let it go unnoticed. Peep The Godfathers (Necro x Kool G Rap), spit their track 'Heart Attack,' live on Sway in the Morning.
For the last piece of our interview, catch the '5 Fingers of Death' King Papoose give us a call to speak to Kool G as well as his project, "Hoodie Season," and Kool G salutes Papoose for his Kendrick Lamar "Control" Response.

It’s always cool to see young kids working hard to pursue their dreams.
9-year old Starr Andrews has her sights set on making it to the Olympics one day soon. She has a ton of talent, I’m betting we’ll be seeing a lot more of her in the future.
Check her out as she performs to Willow Smith’s song “Whip My Hair.”
I think this is the first time I’ve heard this type of song at a skating competition… that’s what’s up

Drake Begins Work On Sophomore Album.
A month after releasing his certified Gold album Thank Me Later (almost platinum), Drake is already back in the studio recording his sophomore LP. This is what Drizzy tweeted
Also, Drake's new UNOFFICIAL mixtape No More Thank You’s & his R&B mixtape is on the way, so be on the lookout for that. Soon!!!!
Hip-hop’s new-school frontrunner Drake just released “Find Your Love,” the second single from his forthcoming debut album, Thank Me Later. This Kanye West produced track finds the rapper singing about what he describes as “one of my worst character traits.” Apparently the 24-year-old has the worst luck picking the right woman. “I look for love in the wrong people,” he recently told us. “It just always seem like the women I find are poison for me. I love women that can just walk into a room and stop the whole area. And I think that those initial qualities always end up getting me hurt, which is a crazy thing for a guy to say.”
The beat’s hip-hop-meets-Phil Collins pop sound is similar to the dreary tunes found on West’s last album 808's and Hearbreak. But Drake, sans the Auto-Tune West used, sings well here. On “Love,” Drake, hurt by women many times before, hopes his next relationship doesn’t crash like the others. “I’ve been through this s— so many times that if I go through his again,” he says of the song’s concept, “I better find your love. You better be that one. Because if not, I don’t know what type of guy I’m going to turn into.”
Broken hearts aren’t typically the topic of hip-hop songs. Drake believes that his supporters, especially the guys, will be able to relate. But he knows he’s taking a chance. “Find Your Love” is an extremely vulnerable song,” he says. “And it’s actually a huge risk. It almost feels like the song should be performed by a woman. I’m just hoping that men really hear the song and they’re honest with themselves. I know a lot of men feel that way.”
