Is newly minted Miami Heat star LeBron James getting some heat from his old friend Jay-Z?

The Internet is popping with a report that the hip-hop magnate, who's also a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets, is upset that James kept him out of the loop on his decision to join the Miami team.

The website Mediatakeout.com quotes an "EXTREMELY CREDIBLE insider" - the capital letters are meant to underscore the source's supposed reliability - saying "Jay-Z felt disrespected that King James did not consult with him during the free agency process."

And Gatecrasher got a similar take from a source in Jay-Z's camp. "Jay never expected LeBron to sign with the Nets. He knew that no 25-year-old kid with James' profile was going to spend years in Newark," the source tells Gatecrasher. "But he's pissed, or at least disappointed, that LeBron didn't consult with him."

Still, our source says, "I don't think it's going to affect their friendship."

According to Mediatakeout's insider, James' silent treatment made Jay-Z look bad with Nets' management. While LeBron was making his decision, "he didn't even take [Jay-Z's] calls. It made [Jay-Z] look like he couldn't deliver to the Nets management," the website's source says. If Jay-Z could have landed a star player, "he could have been seen as a legitimate asset to the team," the source said. "Now they see him as just dead weight."

Perhaps, but our source points out that given Jay-Z's minuscule $1 million investment in the Nets, the responsibility to put together a killer team doesn't really lie with him.

"It's not Jay's team," says the source. That dubious honor goes to Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who paid $200 million for an 80% stake in the Nets.

Another NBA insider says Jay-Z's real source of dissatisfaction should be Prokhorov. "The Nets have no basketball team," the source says, saying that Prokhorov "overpromoted and overmarketed" the team, but wasn't able to deliver a player with genuine box-office appeal.

Jay-Z's spokeswoman did not respond to our request for comment by deadline, and a spokesman for James declined to comment.

Ok here's a quick breakdown of how this beef started. Floyd Mayweather Jr signed Freck Billionaire to his record label,Philthy Rich Records. However, not long after that Floyd was sued by another record company "Just For You Entertainment"who claimed that Freck was already under contract to them.Floyd blames Freck, saying Freck should have known he was already under contract to another label.Floyd has since asked for a watch back from Freck he says was part of a signing bonus. Freck disagrees and claims the watch was a gift from Floyd. That pretty much sums it up. Oh yeah and somewhere along the way Rick Ross got involved so this beef could escalate because Mayweather is close friends with 50 Cent Download Here

Rick Ross Goes to War With Floyd Mayweather Jr

HipHopWired Reports “Talking greasy because you're 39-0?/Real life b*tch n*gga 39 and hoe/I'm his toughest opponent yet/I'm nothing like Marquez.” Stepping from the Hip-Hop ring into the boxing ring, the match has been set between middleweight boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Rick Ross. Going by size difference alone, the match could actually be one-sided. Releasing the track “Go (War Remix),” the bawse has made an attempt at a second round knockout. Mayweather was the first to throw blows last month by taking a jab at Ross and calling him a fraud. Turning his criminal image into a joke, the boxer simply stated that he needs someone to be arrested, then he would call up the biggest C.O. that we've seen thus far. Along with this, he added that with his rap career, the credentials don't match up evenly by denying then accepting his past. Almost like an open challenge, Money stated that he's not hard to find and is in Miami all the time. “Forever getting robbed/Bloods took your jewels/Can't beat the IRS baby boy/Just pay your dues!” Shots have also been thrown at rapper Freck Billionaire, who is known for being affiliated with Fabolous and his Street Family team. Money Mayweather issued a statement making accusations that Billionaire was a thief and has stolen a watch after he defaulted on contract obligations with the boxer's record label, Philthy Rich. He added that by Freck not disclosing the fact that he was signed under another contract, the boxer was sued. “Talking greasy because you're 39-0?/Real life b*tch n*gga 39 and hoe/I'm his toughest opponent yet/I'm nothing like Marquez.” Outside of a new rap beef, Mayweather held a media conference last weekend in order to promote his return to the ring September 19 for a welterweight fight with Juan Manuel Marquez at Las Vegas' MGM Grand. Some issues have arisen for the young star, however, as he has been placed under the microscope with two separate police cases. Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting that happened outside of a skating rink and seized two handguns, ammunition and two bulletproof vests from his home and two cars last week. Witnesses have stated to authorities that an associate of the boxer fired shots at the supposed victim. “Even your name lame/Ain't no Mayweather Punchout!/Catch him in Florida/I'm a need another lawyer/Why your daddy employer/Go by the name of De La Hoya?!...We standing on the bar/Throwing real money/Holla Mayweather when you see a fake hundred.”

Floyd Mayweather is the target of lawsuit from a company that claims the boxer stole their artist. Just for You Entertainment, a Long Island-based company, alleges that the Mayweather-owned Philthy Rich Records signed Freck Billionaire even though the rapper was signed to them in 2005. Just for You claims the company spent $155,000 in recording studio time, travel expenses and other costs when Billionaire was an artist on their label. Philthy Rich Records now must contend with a $600,000 civil claim from Just for You Entertainment, according to the New York Post. Freck Billionaire hails from Philadelphia. Floyd Mayweather, who retired for 17 months, has returned to boxing and has a fight set for July 18 with lightweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez
