Video After The Jump

Most of you have probably heard by now that the maker of the viral video Kony 2012, Jason Russell was found acting like an insane person on the streets of San Diego (read about it here). The Invisible Children co-founder took off his clothes, masturbated in public and was also accused of vandalism.

After being silent throughout this entire campaign to get him arrested "Joseph Kony" is speaking out about Russell's behavior.

Watch J to the K's hilarious response video below, as well as footage of Russell melting down.

Video After The Jump

As everyone knows by now Iggy Azalea made the 2012 XXL Freshman cover, becoming the first woman to do so. Almost immediately there was controversy as another female rapper, Harlem's Azealia Banks took offense to it.

We reported on the story and got a lot of feedback from our Thisis50 members, but there had not been a direct public response from Iggy or her Grand Hustle boss T.I. until now.

During a recent interview with DJ Drama the two addressed the conflict.

"Was she not happy with Iggy being on there or was Azealia Banks unhappy because she was not on there?" Tip asked. "Because if I am someone and I am moving and shaking and doing my thing, I don't care what's going on outside of my circle because my circle is being successful."

Tip then said he didn't know who Azealia was and had never heard her music.

"This is my day and it's my achievement," added Iggy. "So, you have to work to have your own achievements, with all due respect. Instead of worrying about who else is on there, you should just be happy that I’m on there as a woman for women. And if you wanna have an achievement work and have your own achievement. I can’t take what’s meant for you and you can’t take what’s meant for me.”

Tip threw one more dart Azealia's way before he was done.

"Strategically if she really cares about a freshmen cover maybe she could hope that she’ll suck enough to get shelved and then next year when the freshmen cover comes back around, maybe she’ll still be a freshman," he said "Which brings me to my next philosophy. If you spend half of your day getting money and the other half of your day counting money, you ain’t got no time in your day to worry about nobody else.”

Ouch!

A$AP Rocky's debut album is highly anticipated. Lots of rumors have been floating around about it's title and release date. Fuse TV caught up with the Harlem rapper and got the real deal.

"The name of my album is 'Long Live A$AP," he revealed. "My album comes out in July."

Another rumor A$AP cleared up had to do with the 2012 XXL Freshman Class cover. He clarified that he made the list, but wasn't on the cover because his schedule didn't permit him the time to shoot it. Without naming names he also trashed the list.

"Personally I'mma speak my mind. I think a lot of the motherf*ckers on the list is corny as f*ck," A$AP said. "But shout outs to Danny Brown. I think a few people on there are eligible for it."

Let's take a look at that list one more time:

Machine Gun Kelly, Danny Brown, Kid Ink, Future, Roscoe Dash, Hopsin, Macklemore, French Montana, Iggy Azalea and Don Trip.

After scratching off Danny Brown that leaves us with 9 possible targets. Who do you think A$AP is firing shots at?

Each year that XXL releases their "Freshman Class" list there are both positive and negative responses. The 2012 cover featuring Machine Gun Kelly, Iggy Azalea, French Montana, Kid Ink, Future, Danny Brown, Roscoe Dash, Hopsin, Macklemore and Don Trip is no different.

The XXL staff sat down with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds and K. Foxx to explain how they make their decisions on which rapper make the list.

Azealia Banks has come out firing heavy artillery at Iggy Azalea for being named to the 2012 XXL Freshman list.

The 20 year-old Harlem rapper, who herself is making lots of industry noise with her single "212" and newly signed deal with Universal Records criticized the Australian import who became the first female to make the list.

"Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong," Azealia wrote on Twitter upon hearing the news. "How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a "runaway slave master"? Sorry guys. But I'm pro black girl. I'm not anti white girl, but I'm also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it. In any capacity. *kanye shrug*."

Iggy obviously got wind of what was being said about her and went on Twitter to brush off any shade being thrown her way.

"You can't block my blessings! Today I'm celebrating! Get with it or kick rocks!" Iggy wrote. "Don't bother including my @ name in any of ur salty thoughts either cause... I'm  today!!!! First female freshman. Ever. Period. Thanks world! I used to stick XXL on my bedroom door, now I'm on the cover. Life is great."

I guess these two won't be collaborating any time soon.

DJ Drama caught up with A$AP Rocky and his crew while they were in Atlanta recently and Barack O'Drama had plenty of questions lined up for Pretty Flacko.

A$AP's birth name is Rakim Mayers. He recently got a chance to meet the man he was named after, rapper Rakim.

"I don't know if words can express it, I was just happy to be meeting him," he said. "I knoew it would happen eventually someway, somehow. I was just happy it happened."

Because of his style of music most people assume A$AP only listens to rappers from Houston. He said that's not the case and cited rap and rock influences ranging from UGK to Red Hot Chili Peppers.

He also clarified a rumor that he had been asked to be on the 2012 XXL Freshman cover and passed.

"Nah, not even...I was busy," A$AP explained. "I don't know who they spoke to 'cause we was busy. I wouldn't have minded doing it."

Peep the rest of the interview below. A$AP goes on to talk about fellow Harlem rapper Azealia Banks and rumored girlfriend Iggy Azalea.
