When the 2012 XXL Freshman cover was revealed a lot of people wondered who Macklemore was. Fast forward to today and everybody knows the Seattle rapper as his hit records get major airplay from coast to coast.
He sat down with The Breakfast Club today to talk about his incredible run since the release of his album with Ryan Lewis titled The Heist.
Mack admitted that he never thought he would become such a huge success because he considers himself a backpack rapper, shoots down gay rumors, talks wanting to be accepted as a serious emcee, Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse, squashing conflict with Method Man, being nominated for six VMA awards, beef with Yelawolf and more.
