The Carolina Panthers(17-1) will battle the Denver Broncos(14-4) for professional football's ultimate crown on Sunday, February 7, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
It will be broadcast live on CBS, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Jim Nantz, Phil Simms and Tracy Wolfson will call the game.
QuarterbackCam Newtonwill be looking to guide the Panthers to victory. Peyton Manning will be under center for the Broncos and hopes to help bring another championship back to Denver.
The game pits the Panthers' high scoring, No. 1 ranked offense against a stingy Broncos defense, which allowed the fewest yards this season, the fewest passing yards, the fewest rushing yards per attempt (3.3) and recorded the most sacks (52).
Newton had an incredible year. He produced an NFL-high 45 TDs (35 passing, 10 rushing) in the regular season. His 636 rushing yards led all quarterbacks. This will be his first trip to the Super Bowl and the second for the Panthers.
This will be the eighth Super Bowl appearance for the Broncos.
The Panthers are currently favored to win by 4.

(Houston Chronicle) A Longview, Texas resident thwarted a home invasion Monday. Mugshots of the alleged buglar show he apparently took a beating in the process.
Kevin Mitchell Gonzales, 28, was arrested after police say he engaged in a scuffle with a homeowner after trying to enter the dwelling through the garage. CBS 19 in East Texas reported that during the fight Gonzales pulled out a pistol and fired shot. The homeowner then removed the pistol from the suspect and managed to restrain him until police arrived.
The homeowner was not injured.
Police also found 18 Lorazepam pills in the suspect’s pants pocket. He faces charges for criminal trespass with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance. Records show this is the fifth time that Gonzales has been booked into a Gregg County Jail.
Boosie Badazz just released an official music video for "A Problem" off of his latest album titled "Out My Feelings: In My Past." The clip was directed by Joe Yung Spike.
The ruling was handed down by Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkleyon Friday, February 5, when Meek, real nameRobert Williams, appeared in a Philadelphia courtroom.
Brinkley sentenced the rapper 6 to 12 months in county jail, but opted to let him serve the time on house arrest. He can leave home only to do community service with groups serving adults, not young people. After 90 days Brinkley will reevaluate his progress to determine if he will be given additional time.
The judge also gave Meek another six years of probation.
As we previously reported, Brinkley ruled on December 17, 2015, that the rapper violated his probation, stemming from a 2009 drug and gun conviction, by leaving Philadelphia on several occasions without notifying his probation officer. Friday was the sentencing phase.
Meek, 28, testified in December that the life of an artist is chaotic and schedules frequently change at the last minute. He said that he wasn't trying to thumb his nose at the court and promised that he was a changed man since he began dating Nicki Minaj.
"I'm not a gangsta. I'm not a criminal," he said at the time. "I have my queen, Nicki [Minaj] now. I'm trying to do better and feel like I can be the best rapper out there."

Johnny Manziel's inner demons are destroying him. At one point the man they call "Johnny Football" seemed to have the world in the palm of his hands.
The 23-year old quarterback won The Heisman Trophy in 2012, while playing for Texas A&M.
In 2014 he was selected in the first round of the NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns, who had hoped that he would lead the team for many years.
Now, he is about to be released by the team because of his increasingly erratic behavior off the field.
On Friday, February 5, his fatherPaul Manzielexpressed concern for his son.
"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," Paul told The Dallas Morning News.
Johnny's family unsuccessfully tried to get him to enter the Enterhealth Ranch addiction facility in Van Alstyne, on Saturday, January 30, but he refused to stay.
His father believes Johnny is suicidal and on Tuesday he had him admitted to Carrollton Springs Hospital, a psychiatric and chemical dependency facility, but the staff allowed him to leave.
Johnny voluntarily entered rehab for alcohol abuse on January 28, 2015. He spent more than two months there before being released.
He issued a statement at that time vowing he would do better, saying he had learned from his past mistakes.
"I would like to thank my family, friends, the Browns organization, my teammates, and Browns fans everywhere, for your patience, understanding, and support during my stay at Caron.
The doctors and staff have been amazing and what I’ve learned in the last couple of months has been tremendous. I owe private apologies to a lot of people that I disappointed but a very public one to the Browns organization and the fans that I let down.
I take full responsibility for my actions and it’s my intention to work very hard to regain everyone’s trust and respect. I understand that will take time and will only happen through what I do and not what I say. I also understand there’s a lot of curiosity about this but anyone who has a friend or family-member that’s been through things like this knows it’s an ongoing process. I’m going to continue to ask folks to try to respect my privacy as I determine to what degree I am comfortable talking about a subject which I consider very personal.
Most of you have been considerate about that and I thank you for it. I look forward to seeing my teammates next week and focusing on football and my desire to be the best possible player, teammate, and man that I can be."
But it wasn't long before he was back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The quarterback's agent, Erik Burkhardt, distanced himself from the situation by severing ties with him on Friday.
"It is with deep regret that after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors, and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel," Burkhardt said in a statement. "Though I will remain a friend and Johnny supporter and he knows I have worked tirelessly to arrange a number of professional options for him to continue to pursue, it has become painfully obvious that his future rests solely in his own hands. His family and I have gone to great lengths to outline the steps we feel he must take to get his life in order. Accountability is the foundation of any relationship, and without it, the function of my work is counterproductive."
This latest news comes on the heels of a domestic dispute that happened last Saturday between Johnny and his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
Johnny allegedly physically assaulted her and threatened to commit murder/suicide. The Fort Worth, Texas police department investigated the incident and decided not to press charges.
On Friday Deion Sanders spoke out about the situation on ESPN's 1st Take.
"It's hard to help someone who doesn't want to help themselves," Sanders said. "Sometimes you gotta negate the person because when they're lying in a pool of ignorance they don't understand direction. And sometimes the direction is for the protection. [Manziel] needs to be taken, not voluntarily admitted. Taken ... thrown into a rehabilitation center with love and care. And he needs to understand that this is it."
BJ the Chicago Kid is one of the most talented artists in the game. Check out the video for his Marvin Gaye-inspired song "Turning Me Up" and you will see what I mean. (Houston Chronicle) The saga of trouble-prone Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel took a darker turn when his former girlfriend accused him of striking her several times, according to a police report released Thursday.
Manziel wasn't arrested, however, and no charges are being filed in the incident by Fort Worth or Dallas law enforcement officials.
"The Dallas Police Department has conducted the appropriate investigative follow-up to the report forwarded to us by the Ft. Worth Police Department regarding an alleged incident involving Johnny Manziel," Dallas police said in a statement. "Investigative efforts to date have not resulted in the filing of a criminal complaint, and the incident is determined to be closed."
During the incident in question, Manziel threatened to kill Colleen Crowley and himself, according to Dallas TV station WFAA, which also reported that Crowley is seeking a protective order against the NFL player.
Crowley, a Houston native, model and TCU student, told Fort Worth police that the hard-partying former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M assaulted her last weekend during an ugly altercation that began in Dallas at the Hotel ZaZa and continued on the way home to her apartment near the TCU campus.
Crowley described Manziel as acting "aggressive toward her" when she was left alone with him at the hotel and alleges he hit her multiple times as he drove her home, including a blow to her left ear. Manziel was driving because he didn't want her to drive while intoxicated, according to the police report.
Police stated that Manziel's ex-girlfriend became "increasingly uncooperative" during her interview, was "somewhat vague about the details of the assault," and refused to allow officers to photograph her or her injuries as the interview continued.
Tension-filled ride
When, according to WFAA, Crowley told Manziel "I hate you!" during the drive home, Manziel allegedly responded by telling the college student "he was going to drop me off, take my car and go kill himself" before breaking into laughter and yelling at her to "shut up, or I'll kill us both."
Manziel, who spent time at in inpatient drug treatment facility for multiple dependency issues a year ago, behaved as if he were "on some kind of drugs," Crowley told police. She also emphasized to police that he wasn't intoxicated, contradicting her previous statement.
Because Crowley expressed concern Manziel might harm himself, a police helicopter was dispatched to locate Manziel. Police eventually determined he was in no danger.
Manziel and Crowley didn't return telephone messages seeking comment, but Manziel told TMZ on Thursday: "It didn't happen. I'm completely stable. I'm safe and secure."
Crowley told police that in an attempt to avoid Manziel, she ran in and out of her apartment at Berkeley Luxury Apartment Homes and sought help from a neighbor. Manziel allegedly fled the apartment on foot.
Crowley got "irritated" with officers during the interview when they asked her if Manziel had assaulted her at the apartment.
Following multiple attempts from officers to find Manziel and speak with his parents, new residents of Fort Worth, a Fort Worth police officer spoke with Manziel's father, Paul Manziel. Paul Manziel told police his son was "doing fine" and requested that he not be contacted by police in the future unless there was an existing warrant, according to the report.
Paul Manziel didn't return a message seeking comment on the situation.
NFL statement regarding Johnny Manziel: “Our review of this incident began when it happened. We are aware of the police report.”
This isn't the first time Manziel and his relationship with Crowley have drawn police and NFL scrutiny. Manziel was previously investigated on Oct. 13 by Ohio police for allegedly hitting Crowley. Manziel and Crowley got into an argument, and she told police Manziel beat her and shoved her head into glass before recanting the allegations. Manziel acknowledged having a few alcoholic drinks to police but wasn't charged with a crime and was ultimately cleared by the NFL of violating its personal-conduct policy.
