Report via TMZ -- Bun B didn't just defend his wife and home when a masked man with a gun tried to rob them ... we're told he chased the guy down and unmasked him to make sure his ass was going to jail.
The Houston rapper's lawyer, Charles Adams, tells TMZ ... Bun and his wife, Queenie, met with the District Attorney this week to discuss the incident, and they have been reassured they are being treated as victims in the case.
We're told everything they've reported lines up with law enforcement's investigation, and the suspect, Demonte Jackson, is facing 3 first-degree felonies -- 2 counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count of burglary.
Adams tells us Bun B wasn't specifically targeted by the intruder -- he was going house to house in the neighborhood and Bun's wife happened to answer the door.
We broke the story ... Queenie offered up her Audi in the garage to the suspect, which is where Bun confronted him and a gunfight ensued. Adams says after the man escaped and left his gun behind ... Bun hopped in his car and pursued him.
We're told the rapper caught up and held the guy at gunpoint ... then made him take off his mask so he could identify him. The suspect then escaped again.
As we told you, Jackson showed up at a Houston-area hospital several hours later with a gunshot injury to his shoulder. He was treated and arrested.

Report via RT -- Gargantuan power weightlifter Sajad Gharibi, known to many as the 'Iranian Hulk', has announced on social media that his debut mixed martial arts fight will come next year against an unnamed Brazilian opponent.
Exact details such as the date, the promotion or even the identity of his opponent have yet to be revealed but as the Hulk said on social media, he is prepared for what comes ahead.
"I'm finally accepting my first professional fight from a Brazilian fighter before 2020," Gharibi wrote on Instagram. "I'm ready for the challenge," he added.
The 6ft 2in, 385 lbs behemoth caused something of a storm late last year when it was revealed that he was in talks to face English bodybuilder and so-called 'scariest man on the planet' Martyn Ford, likely under the banner of the KSW promotion in Poland, and while that fight failed to come to fruition it seems as though the 'Iranian Hulk' is intent on pushing forward with his debut fight.
While he doesn't yet have any professional MMA experience Gharibi's sheer size would present trouble for fellow novice super-heavyweights, particularly given experience in wrestling - a hugely popular activity in his native Iran.
His entrance into mixed martial arts isn't exactly a unique move. Former five-time World's Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski transitioned to MMA in 2009 and in the following decade has put together a respectable record in the sport, facing the likes of former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia.
Gharibi has become a social media celebrity in recent years owing to a steady stream of pictures showing of his massive physique and the several meals he eats each day. His following on Instagram alone has grown to nearly 450,000 in the last two years.
His daily routine is said to comprise of starting the day with a full English breakfast, washed down by an energy drink. He will also top up his nutrition throughout the day with helpings of chicken, fish, fruit and plenty of milk.
And, as per his own words, it seems that his fights may not just take place inside a cage - he has suggested that he would be open to joining the Iranian Armed Forces to help in the continued fight against ISIS.
"I will always be a soldier for my country," he said in 2016. "I hope to start up my training again and reach my goal, in two or three years, to be in good enough shape to be of service to my country."

Report via USA Today -- Two days after a district attorney announced he would not press charges against Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill in a child abuse case, the investigation into Hill has been re-opened, Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday.
This comes after Kansas City TV station KCTV5 on Thursday night aired segments of an 11-minute audio clip they say is a conversation between Hill and fiancée Crystal Espinal. In the clip, the two allegedly discuss how their 3-year-old son broke his arm. USA TODAY Sports is attempting to confirm the authenticity of the audio and the identities of the people in the recording.
“I didn’t do nothing,” says a man the TV station identifies as Hill in the clip.
“Then why does (redacted son’s name) say, ‘Daddy did it'?" asks the woman presumed to be Espinal. “Why? Why does (son’s name) say, ‘Daddy did it’?”
The man responds: “I don’t know. He says Daddy does a lot of things.”
In the audio clip, Hill allegedly tells Espinal she needs “to be terrified of me, too, bitch.” Espinal allegedly says their son says, “Daddy punches me” and that Hill has him “open up his arms and you punch him in the chest. And then if he gets in trouble, you get the belt out.”
The Overland Park, Kansas, police department received an anonymous call Thursday night after the audio was released, and police visited Hill and Espinal’s home around 8:30 p.m. A police spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports “she was fine." The spokesperson also said Hill and the child were not present, and the caller wished to remain anonymous. Police did not file a report from the visit.
Hill’s attorney, Trey Pettlon, declined comment to USA TODAY Sports when reached Friday afternoon by phone, citing confidentiality reasons. In multiple calls Friday to Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe, a member of Howe’s office declined comment and said he was unavailable.
The Chiefs issued a statement Thursday night that they learned of the audio that night, along with the public.
“We were deeply disturbed and concerned by what we heard,” the statement read. “We have great concern for Crystal, we are greatly concerned for Tyreek, but our main concern is with the young child.”
Hill “will not take part in any team activities” while the Chiefs gather more information to “make the right decision,” the team said. General manager Brett Veach reiterated that stance in a Friday afternoon news conference introducing defensive end Frank Clark, whom Kansas City traded for this week.
Hill caught 162 passes for 2,662 yards and 19 touchdowns the last two seasons in Kansas City.

OLATHE, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs effectively suspended Tyreek Hill from all team-related activities Thursday night while they investigate an audio recording that aired on a local TV station in which the star wide receiver’s fiancee accused him of abusing their 3-year-old son.
The recording surfaced one day after prosecutors said they believed abuse had occurred in Hill’s home last month but that they could not press charges because it was unclear who committed the crime.
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach read a statement after the conclusion of the first round of the NFL draft that said the team became aware of the recording between Hill and his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, in “real-time” — just like the general public.
Afterward, Veach called Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and informed him that Hill would no longer be allowed to work out with the team. The Chiefs are in the midst of voluntary offseason workouts.
“We were deeply disturbed by what we heard. We have deep concern for Crystal, and are concerned for Tyreek, but we have real concern for the child,” Veach said in his statement. “We are going to continue to gather information and we will make the right decision.”
Veach declined to take any questions. Chiefs coach Andy Reid and chairman Clark Hunt, who also were in the building for the start of the draft, were not made available.
Police were called to Hill’s home twice last month and investigators determined their child had been injured. On Wednesday, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said charges would not be filed but that he was “deeply troubled” by the situation and said “we believe a crime has occurred.”
Howe also said the case could be reopened if new information surfaced.
Hill released a statement through his attorney earlier Thursday in which he said his “son’s health and happiness is my number one priority.” Hill said his focus is on “working hard to be the best person for my family and our community that I can be, and the best player to help our team win.”
Less than eight hours later, KCTV in Kansas City aired part of an 11-minute audio file in which Espinal tells Hill that when asked about an injury to the child’s arm, the boy replied:, “Daddy did it.”
Hill denied any role in what happened to the child, saying: “He says Daddy does a lot of things.”
Espinal also tells Hill their son is “terrified of you.”
Hill replies, “You need to be terrified of me, too, bitch.”
Later in the conversation, Espinal asks Hill, “What do you do when the child is bad? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest.”
KCTV said the audio was sent to the station without disclosing from whom. The station said it had shared the audio with Howe’s office, which did not return a message late Thursday.
Hill is a two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with a history of domestic issues, including a case in which he was accused of punching Espinal while she was pregnant and they were attending Oklahoma State.
Hill’s attorney, Trey Pettlon, has said that the wide receiver has cooperated with law enforcement throughout the investigation. Pettlon also said that Hill waived his Fifth Amendment rights, answered questions from law enforcement and the Department of Children and Families, and that he would continue to cooperate with authorities as they provide a safe environment for the child.
That statement was thrown into question by the audio, during which Espinal indicates she covered for Hill while answering questions from investigators: “Now I really want you to sit and think about it,” she tells Hill, “because I rode for you against that detective.”
Howe would not say who has custody of the child other than to say he is safe.
“We’re talking about a minor, a child, and the system and DCF and in child investigations, we have to be very cognizant about protecting the rights of the child,” Howe said Wednesday. “We have to respect the wishes of the individuals involved in the case.”
Hill is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and the Chiefs have little depth at wide receiver. That means it is possible the Chiefs could target a pass-catcher when they make one of their three picks Friday night — they traded their first-round pick to Seattle earlier this week as part of a package to acquire pass rusher Frank Clark, who has his own history of domestic violence.
Last year, the Chiefs released star running back Kareem Hunt following a video that showed him pushing and kicking a woman in a hotel hallway.
Before the audio of Hill was broadcast, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell warned about making any judgments before getting all the facts. But he did make it clear that Hill could be punished under the league’s personal conduct policy, regardless of the legal situation.
“You don’t make a decision without having those facts,” Goodell said.
