GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida backup quarterback Jalen Kitna, the son of retired NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, was arrested Wednesday on 2 charges of distribution of child exploitation material & 3 charges of possession of child pornography.

Gainesville police said the 19-year-old Kitna shared the images via a social media platform. Kitna was booked in the Alachua County Jail, where he was awaiting a first appearance before a judge Thursday morning.

The 5 charges, which still need to be formalized by the state attorney’s office, are second-degree felonies that could result in a prison term of up to 15 years and a fine of up to $10,000.

The Gators suspended Kitna indefinitely about an hour after his arrest.

Gainesville police announced the arrest in a news release and said the investigation was initiated when the department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated that a Discord user distributed an image of child sexual abuse through its chat platform.

Further investigation by a detective showed two images were shared via Kitna’s Discord account at his apartment in Gainesville, police said. A detective contacted Kitna at his residence and interviewed him. Kitna said he remembered sharing the 2 images & that his Discord account was later deactivated because of a violation of the terms of service.

Kitna’s electronic devices were seized as part of a search warrant. Preliminary analysis revealed 4 additional images of child sexual abuse.

After setting records in his NFL rookie season for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback and most passing yards for a rookie, it was expected the endorsements would start rolling in for Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton.

Under Armour beat out Nike to sign Cam to a deal worth more than $1 million a year to endorse their shoes and apparel.

Check out their first commercial which also features super producer AraabMuzik as Cam's DJ.

Video More Pics After The Jump It's highly probable most of you have heard the story about sideline reporter, Ines Sainz being sexually harassed while at the New York Jets practice facility last week by some players. The story doesn't seem to be going away. Ines has been on several talk shows discussing the matter, while the Jets have remained silent. I think the story brings up a bigger issue. And that is, should there be a dress code for women when entering men's locker rooms? I'm not defending the New York Jets players behavior. Some of them allegedly threw footballs close to the reporter so they could get a closer look at her. Then made rude remarks and cat calls when she was in the locker room interviewing quarterback Mark Sanchez for Mexico's TV Azteca. Ines is known for wearing very tight, ass hugging jeans and dressing in a sexy manner. Some would say that doesn't matter and shouldn't be a reason players should whistle at or ogle her. Considering the fact an NFL locker room is a workplace and subject to the same rules that apply to corporate America. NFL spokesman, Greg Aiello told MSNBC an investigation is underway. "The issue is proper conduct in the workplace," said Aiello. "The locker room is a workplace." Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis had a different view. "You put a woman and you give her a choice of 53 athletes, somebody got to be appealing to her." he said. "Somebody got to spark her interest, or she's gonna want somebody. I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's packages." Portis has since apologized for those comments, but is he right? For her part, Sainz has said she isn't the one who made the sexual harassment charges. Other members of the media who witnessed what happened in the locker room did. Nevertheless, a few players will probably be paying a hefty fine and face possible suspension for their actions. Which leads back to my original question. Should female reporters be required to have a more toned down dress code when in men's locker rooms? Ines Sainz explains what happened in the New York Jets locker room

New York Times Reports A civil lawsuit has been filed in Nevada against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger by a woman accusing him of sexually assaulting her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room in July 2008. Roethlisberger’s lawyer, David Cornwell, said Roethlisberger denied the charge. “Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone,” Cornwell said in a statement. According to the civil complaint filed Friday in the Second Judicial District Court in Washoe County, Nev., the woman accused Roethlisberger of assault while he was a guest at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, where she is an employee. The suit, however, is also for libel and slander and is filed against nine defendants, including Roethlisberger. The eight others are reportedly employees at Harrah’s whom the woman accuses of defaming her following the assault and whom McNulty says did not adequately investigate her complaint. Roethlisberger was in Lake Tahoe last July for a celebrity golf tournament. The woman said she was working on the penthouse floor at Harrah’s where Roethlisberger was staying when he assaulted her in his hotel room. She also asserts that she was hospitalized and suffered from depression. A criminal complaint was not filed against Roethlisberger after the incident, although one could still be opened. She is seeking damages of at least $390,000. “The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct,” Cornwell said. “If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.”

Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young isn't saying play me or trade me, but he's coming pretty close. In an interview with Baltimore's WMAR-TV, Young said if he doesn't win back his starting job, he wants to move on. The problem is that Kerry Collins is still the starter. "I definitely want to get back out there playing ball and picking up where I left off, winning games and having a good time with my teammates and with the fans," Young said, according to the television station. "At the same time, if them guys don't want me to be in there, it's time for me to make a career change for myself. Because the fact is I'm ready to play ball. If they're not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is." The former rookie of the year suffered a knee injury in the first game of the season last year. Veteran Kerry Collins stepped in and remained the starter for the remainder of the year, leading the Titans to a 13-3 record and the playoffs. Young's season was further marred by an incident after that first game against Jacksonville in which the quarterback was reported missing. He was later found and there was some question as to his state of mind. This offseason, Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that Young would have to unseat Collins as the starter. "I'm still focused, staying focused," Young said, according to WMAR. "I got a lot of people that look up to me. I got a lot of fans that love me and want to see me back out on the football field."
