Kevlar Kohleone - The Realest (Prodigy Tribute) (Official Music Video)
In remembrance of the late, great Prodigy, who died 4 years ago today, Kevlar Kohleone pays tribute to one of the best emcees in hip hop history over Mobb Deep's "The Realest" instrumental.
Mobb Deep - Can I Live Ft. Murder Mook x DJ Absolut (Unreleased Freestyle Audio)
Today marks four years since the passing of the one and only Prodigy aka Bandana P. To mark the occasion DJ Absolut drops off an unreleased Mobb Deep "Can I Live" freestyle featuring Murda Mook.
In the words of Absolut:
"I KNEW PRODIGY, & PRODIGY WOULD WANT YOU TO HEAR HIS MUSIC & NOT LET IT SIT.
I RELEASED THIS MOBB DEEP FREESTYLE IN REMEMBRANCE OF PRODIGY WHO PASSED JUNE 20TH OF 2017. MOBB 4 LIFE."
Albert Johnson aka Prodigy lost his life four years ago today. An elite emcee who dropped so many quotable verses I would be here all day trying to type them out.
Simply put, Bandana P was a musical genius. Whether as member of the legendary group Mobb Deep @MobbDeepQB, along with Havoc @MobbDeepHavoc or as a solo artist, Prodigy consistently dropped classic music.
"Illuminati," "Shook Ones Pt. 2," "Keep It Thoro," "Survival of the Fittest," "Losin Weight" with Cam'Ron, "Hell On Earth," "Get Away," "Quiet Storm," "It's Mine," "Tres Leches (Triboro Trilogy)" with Big Pun and Inspectah Deck, "Got It Twisted," "Win or Lose," "Mac 10 Handle," "Return of the Mac," "Queens" with Big Noyd and Infamous Mobb, "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)," "Crawlin" "Get Clapped" with Lloyd Banks "Hey Luv" "Real Power Is People," "It's Nothing" "Rare Species (Modus Operandi)" and "Outta Control" with 50 Cent are just a few of the gems Prodigy vocally contributed to or solo released.
His legacy continues to live on, not only through his music, but also his children.
Prodigy's daughter Santana Fox @santanafox is an up and coming rapper, and his son Bando Red @bando.red_fanpage is creating his own lane as a producer.

A police officer in Ohio is on leave after dashcam video showed her patrol cruiser running over a shooting victim, who died shortly afterward, officials said.
Springfield police Officer Amanda Rosales was behind the wheel of an SUV cruiser Sunday night when the vehicle ran over Eric Cole, 42, according to video from inside the cruiser.
Cole, a Black man, was lying on his back in the street and bleeding heavily from wounds to his left arm and his left shoulder, police said.
The incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. Cole was airlifted to a hospital and pronounced dead after midnight on Monday, Police Chief Lee Graf said at a news conference Wednesday.
In a sometimes tense media briefing attended by Cole's relatives, Graf offered his condolences to the family. He said that the officer's actions were unintentional and that the accident may have occurred because officers rushing to the scene were unclear exactly where to find the shooting victim.
"The lead officer was trying to catch addresses on the house. Eric was lying in the street," Graf said. "This was an accident. It doesn't mean it's OK. It was an accident. This was not an intentional act on the part of the officer. I am sure of that."
Regardless, Graf said, multiple investigations have been launched, including an internal inquiry and a crash investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Rosales, who was hired in January 2020, was on paid leave Thursday, a city spokeswoman said.
Rosales could not be reached for comment.
Police continue to investigate who shot Cole. There had been no arrests as of Thursday afternoon, the city spokeswoman said.
Two dashcam videos police released to NBC News showed Cole being run over from different perspectives. One video, 95 seconds long, was recorded by a patrol vehicle trailing Rosales' vehicle. The video from Rosales' cruiser is slightly longer than 2 minutes.
The videos show Cole's white shirt covered in blood, and he appears to be holding something up to his face shortly before the vehicle runs him over. Officers are seen exiting their vehicles and moving toward Cole after the cruiser drove over him. Graf said Wednesday that the officers rendered aid to Cole.
Cole called 911 shortly before Rosales ran over him, Graf said.
White people can't help lying & stealing everything in sight -- from entire countries, to cultures, right on down to vegetarianism & yoga ... so claims a controversial psychiatrist who openly admits to homicidal fantasies.
Dr. Aruna Khilanani went on the attack against ALL white people again ... calling them "psychopathic" due to what she sees as a never-ending stream of lies dating back to their so-called "discovery" of America.
Khilaniani, who practices psychiatry in Manhattan, told Marc Lamont Hill on his show, "Black News Tonight" ... "Every time you (whites) steal a country, you loot, you say you discovered something."
Khilaniani also said colonialism is all about "sanitizing the violence" that was required to steal from Indigenous people -- which is far from a controversial statement. However, she extrapolated even further, adding ... "You discovered vegetarianism, you've discovered yoga. Everything is a discovery & it's all actually stolen!"
Keep in mind, this is the same doctor who came under fire after an April lecture to Yale students, during which she admitted having violent fantasies about shooting & killing white people.
Her lecture, entitled, "The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind" pissed off Yale educators & unleashed a flood of negative reviews of her NYC practice ... some of which accused her of anti-Semitism.
Here's the thing ... Khilaniani has valid arguments about the violent nature of colonialism, but they're undermined by her overt embracing of violence & ridiculous arguments ... about things like vegetarianism.
D-Moss is a Artist/Producer/Audio Engineer signed by independent record label Dope Music South Music Group.
Born in Chesapeake, Virginia, D-Moss, spent most of his youth in the small county of Currituck, North Carolina. As a child he was exposed to many different genera’s and styles of music such as Blues, Classic Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop, Metal, and Reggae. After hearing acts like DMX, The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, and Dr. Dre, he took a high interest in the Hip Hop culture and began developing his craft. He started mixing, recording, and producing at the age of 13 with local artists in the area and played with a few local bands. He developed his sound over the years into a new sound: Southern Trap/Boom Bap.
His sound brings a wide variety of diversity to Hip Hop that has been lost and almost forgotten. Blending Blues, Soul, Alternative, and Rock with Hip Hop, Dirty South Rap, Trap, and RnB, his sound relates to Artists such as J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Logic, and Yelawolf. Bouncing back and fourth between a melodic and an aggressive sound combined with his lyrical ability makes the listener visualize the music.
D-Moss has produced and mixed for an abundance of artists including the 2019 released track “22” for Slice Throat and (Freshman XXL 2019 Nominee) Squidnice. He is currently working on his new EP “Unorthadox Boonedox” as well as producing.
Azealia Banks called out Candace Owens after the conservative author tweeted that Juneteenth was “lame” after it was declared a federal holiday by President Joe Biden.
On Thursday (June 17), Owens tweeted, “Juneteenth is soooo lame. Democrats really need to stop trying to repackage segregation. I’ll be celebrating July 4th and July 4th only. I’m American.” Her tweet was met with a lot of criticism from people, but no one was ready for the graphic history lesson that the “Anna Wintour” singer would give her.
On Friday (June 18), Banks took to Instagram to inform Owens that she would still be enslaved on what we now know as Independence Day.
“According to this logic, on July 4, 1776, you would still be enslaved,” she captioned a screenshot of Owens’ tweet. “Most likely on the verge of starvation due to all of America’s food supply having been prioritized for the war, while you hand sew American flags and struggle to wet nurse some depressed 24-year-old white widow’s sickly child until your nipples are chapped and dry. Whereafter, you will be whipped by her 80-year-old uncle for your own malnourishment and inability to produce milk, then sent to toil over a wood-burning stove — blistering your hands while [being] forced to make a peasantly meal of biscuits & gravy.”
She added that Owens would have to clean after her slave owners & then be sent to sleep in her small, bug-infested cabin that she would have to share with several other slaves.
On Thursday, President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law after it was passed by Congress in a 415-14 vote. Saturday (June 19) will mark the 156th anniversary of Juneteenth, which commemorates the freeing of Black slaves in Texas after the Civil War.
It took all of 2 years for Democrats to train black Americans to worship criminals like George Floyd, beg for violence on the streets via “defund the police” and to celebrate segregation in the form of “black Independence Day”.
Every single race has been enslaved at some point in human history. Africans are STILL enslaved today. This is not a holiday. This is more emotional training from Democrats to see ourselves as somehow separate from America.
Segregationist Joe Biden says Juneteenth is "a day in which we remember the moral stain and the terrible toll that slavery took on the country—and continues to take."
More emotional programming for black people that choose to opt in to the perpetual victim mentality.
Roc-A-Fella is knocking Damon Dash's hustle ... the record company is suing one of its own founders in a first-of-its-kind lawsuit, claiming Dash is trying to auction off one of Jay-Z's debut albums as an NFT.
The record company is going after Damon for allegedly trying to mint "Reasonable Doubt" as a non-fungible token (known as an NFT) and auction it off to the highest bidder ... a piece of hip-hop history RAF says is not Dame's to sell, because the company owns it.
According to the docs -- filed by powerhouse attorney Alex Spiro -- Damon planned to sell the album as an NFT at a since-canceled auction, but the company is worried DD will just try to find another platform to hold the auction.
In the suit, RAF claims Damon is "frantically scouting for another venue to make the sale" and believes DD is still looking to cash in ASAP on the recent NFT craze.
RAF's asking a court to step in and stop Damon from going through with the auction and it wants Dash to turn over any NFTs of "Reasonable Doubt" he may have already minted.
