Ian Alexander Jr. took his own life Wednesday, the day he turned 26.
Ian is the son of Ian Alexander Sr., who married Regina in 1997. They were together 10 years before divorcing.
Regina said, "Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."
Regina & her son would sometimes walk the red carpet together for events & it was apparent how proud she was of him.
Ian once said of Regina, "She's just a super mom. She doesn't really let bad workdays or anything come back & ruin the time that we have. It's really awesome to have a mother who I can enjoy spending time with."
When Regina turned 50 in 2021, Ian posted this on Instagram ... "Happy birthday to my co, so extremely proud of you & inspired by your love, artistry & gangsta. To be able to watch you take this lifetime by its neck and make it yours is something i will forever be grateful for. But to have you as my mother is the greatest gift I could ask for. To be all that you are while always having the time to be there, love & support me unconditionally is truly remarkable. The whole marvel universe ain't got s*** on you, your the real superhero! SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — A South Florida police sergeant who was recorded grabbing a colleague by the neck when she tried to deescalate a situation involving a suspect is under crimianal investigation, officials said.
Sunrise police Sgt. Christopher Pullease has also been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, the agency said in a statement.
“This is a result of criminal allegations that have been uncovered due to the internal affairs investigation. The Sunrise Police Department is working in conjunction with the Broward State Attorney’s Office during this criminal investigation.”
The 21-year veteran of the department had been placed on desk duty five days after the Nov. 19 incident.
The suspect had been handcuffed and placed into a cruiser when Pullease pointed pepper spray at him. The unidentified female officer ran to Pullease and pulled him by the belt away from the suspect, the video showed.
Pullease turned and put his left hand on her throat before pushing her back toward another police cruiser.
NEW YORK (ABC13) -- The FBI announced Friday that Brian Laundrie claimed responsibility for killing Gabby Petito in a notebook found near his body.
In a statement, the FBI says their "investigation did not identify any other individuals other than Brian Laundrie directly involved in the tragic death of Gabby Petito."
When Laundrie's body was found, a backpack with a notebook was found nearby.
The FBI wrote, "a review of the notebook revealed written statements by Mr. Laundrie claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito's death."
Laundrie died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
An attorney for Laundrie's family released the following statement:
"Gabby and Brian are no longer with their families and this tragedy has caused enormous emotional pain and suffering to all who loved either or both of them. We can only hope that with today's closure of the case each family can begin to heal and move forward and find peace in and with the memories of their children."
Petito's family met with the FBI on Thursday and the investigation will be closed in the near future.
