KFC is getting creative, but taking some heat, for their latest ad campaign by using the backsides of female college students.
As a play on words, the restaurant is asking women to wear sweatpants that advertise their new bunless sandwich, the Double Down, on the backside of the pants. The female students will be paid $500 for wearing them on their college campus and will be given coupons to hand out, according to USA Today .
The campaign launched on the Spalding University campus in Louisville, Ky. where KFC is headquartered. The company is hoping to not only help sales for the Double Down, but also generate more notoriety with 18-25 year olds after it was reported that the demographic couldn't identify KFC founder Colonel Sanders .
The company encouraged consumers to visit their Facebook page dedicated to the Double Down to show their love of the sandwich. The fast food chain will also be holding a promotion to select three additional campuses to participate in the campaign.
Female students who want to become a KFC ambassador are asked to go to their original Facebook page to let them know they are interested in participating.
Not everyone is thrill with these walking "billboards."
The president of the National Organization for Women, Terry O'Neill said, "It's so obnoxious to once again be using women's bodies to sell fundamentally unhealthy products," USA Today reported.
And brand specialist Jonathan Salem Baskin said of the campaign, "It's irrelevant to the product." He believes KFC would be more successful by revising their menu and cleaning up their stores like fast food giant McDonald's did years ago.
KFC believes it's an effective method to reach their target customer of young men.

Drake and J.Cole are two of the hottest young rappers in the game.
Drake has already dropped a platinum album, while Cole is gearing up for his Roc Nation debut.
Fans are already talking about who would win a potential lyrical battle on wax between the two. It's something Cole has contemplated himself.
He recently talked to Vibe and gave his thoughts on the possibility.
"From a fan’s point of view, who are you going to get excited about [to] battle? I feel like that’s why people push the J.Cole/Drake thing so much, ‘cause I think we’re probably the first two artists that fans are super excited about. The two that they would like to see go at it. I don’t blame ‘em. But it’s just a sign of the times. Rap goes in cycles. I’m not promoting that, but I’m a competitive person in general, so I’m a fan of people throwing jabs and shots. That motivates me," Cole said.
What do you guys think? Who would come out on top if these two went at it?

Video After The JumpNelly's been away from the game for two years, but he's looking to make strong comeback with his new album.
The lead single off the album is "Just A Dream". The radio friendly pop tune was produced by Jim Jonsin, and is getting a strong positive response. When Taylor Swift tweets how much she likes a song, that's a sure sign you probably have a crossover hit.
Nelly's album '5.0' is due out in November.

She braced for consequences, and she got them.
Lindsay Lohan is headed back to jail a third time – and this may be the longest stay – after failing a mandatory drug test.
In a hearing Friday, the judge in her DUI case denied bail for the actress and ordered her held in custody until an Oct. 22 hearing.
Lohan, 24, made no comment and looked stunned as she stood up, was handcuffed and led away by sheriff's deputies out a side door.
Lohan tested dirty about three weeks after being released early from inpatient rehab at UCLA Medical Center on Aug. 24.
"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," she Tweeted last week.
She previously completed 13 full days of a 30-day sentence in a Lynwood, Calif., jail on Aug. 2 after she violated probation in her DUI case.

Video After The Jump(CBS) Girls fighting girls on tape is nothing new to the Internet.
But, as CBS News Correspondent Jeff Glor reports, one video, of a particularly ugly fight, is grabbing lots of attention: The mother of one of the two teen battlers allegedly encouraged her daughter, and is facing criminal charges.
The local sheriff says April Newcomb, 39, should instead have been trying to stop or prevent the fight, and she's been formally accused of child abuse.
The brutal brawl between 16-year-olds, in Palmetto, Fla., was apparently over a boy. Their names are being withheld due to their ages.
Many in the cheering crowd came with cell phones, eager , Glor says, to post the video on the Web.
Authorities say Newcomb can be seen in the background, and she can be heard trying to lend her daughter support.
A spokesman for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Dave Bristow, said, "We're basically in shock (that) a parent can sit there and watch their child and not intervene. … It's pretty obvious this is child abuse."
Police quote Newcomb as admitting in an interview that she was "wrong, and I understand where y'all are coming from. I think unfortunately it was going to happen no matter what."
It appears Newcomb knew about the fight before it even began. She apparently can be seen walking to the scene with her daughter to confront the other girl.
The fight lasted about three minutes.
If convicted, Newcomb faces up to five years in prison. She's free on $15,000 bail.
Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the melee.
Psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere, a contributor to HealthGuru.com, told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Newcomb's alleged behavior was "criminal. It was atrocious. It was absolutely stupid. And I think, at this point, she realizes what she did was wrong. She got caught up in the moment.
"Good parenting does not dictate that you egg your child on. You work with your child on and teach them conflict resolution skills.
"And, I have to point out, she was afraid her daughter might get hurt in the back of the head, because she had a previous head injury, and … she (was) being hit with rabbit punches in the back of the head several times. So this is absolutely horrific.
" … The parenting was non-existent here. We've seen this before, where parents get caught up; they're living vicariously through their children. So I guess she wants her daughter to win because, in her own way, she's helping her daughter with her self-esteem. But it's absolutely the wrong thing. Maybe she wants herself to win to say she's got a champion on her hands. But it is absolutely atrocious."
He was also sharply critical of the girls' school, Palmetto High School, for failing to take action after the fight.

Video After The JumpSuper producer Swizz Beats should know better than anyone that it's hard to duplicate a classic song, having already made so many himself.
But Swizzy is going to attempt bring back the magic people felt when they first heard Eminem's "Stan" on a new record he's recorded with Lil Wayne titled "Anne".
The beat for the track was originally produced for Eminem's 'Relapse' album as "Stan 2", but Slim wanted to head in a different direction.
So Swizz is using the beat for his upcoming 'Haute Living' album.
"There was a lot of controversy over this before," Swizz said "The Eminem album before ['Recovery'], 'Relapse,' I submitted a beat to him called 'Stan 2.' When I was doing an interview and they said, 'What you working on?' [Em] was amongst the people in the lineup I submitted things for. I said, 'I did a track for Eminem called 'Stan 2.' So it got out of hand in the media. He didn't want to do 'Stan 2.' But what I have on my album is a song called 'Anne' with Wayne, which is crazy. The way that Wayne just...it's just ridiculous. He tells Anne, he's sorry for having a Stan"
I gotta hear this......

Video After The JumpALLIANCE, Ohio - A robbery suspect in Alliance got stuck in a garbage truck while hiding from police on Wednesday.
Alliance police said officers spotted a suspect leaving the Wal-Mart on State Street through a fire exit with a cart-full of items. The suspect fled on foot when he saw police.
Not long after, Alliance dispatchers received a call about a man stuck in a trash truck. The person calling said they were friends were a man who said he was hiding in a Dumpster behind Wal-Mart before it was picked up by a garbage truck.
Police said dispatchers were able to track James Michael Brienzo using his cell phone and officers soon caught up with the trash compacting truck.
Officers told the driver of the truck what was happening and climbed into the truck, but couldn’t free Brienzo.
"There was a recycling place within a few hundred yards. We had the truck pull over there and, by his own request, we dumped the truck and the contents and himself in the parking lot and then several more minutes, we dug through and finally freed him from the rubbish," Lt. William Morris said.
Police said the man had been "compacted" several times while inside the truck.
Brienzo was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He was later taken by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

Video After The JumpYelawolf is primed to become the next one of the next rappers to blow.
Good Fella Media caught up with the Alabama native and chopped it up about the obstacles he's faced trying to get in the game, and where he's headed in his career.
"After South By Southwest, which was a music festival that we performed at. We did like nine shows...and Fader Fort being a turning point. During that whole run of shows, we flew directly to L.A. and signed with Interscope," Yela told GFM. "And since then life has been fast forward. But I'm thankful man, because I remember when it was slow motion. Just sitting at the crib wanting to do something, hungry to be out there...so I'm busy and blessed."
Even though things are looking up with his new deal, Yela still takes time to reflect on the struggle.
"I can't believe I'm finally taking those steps," Yela says. "There were so many nights I was just f*cked up at the crib or in the studio like 'aint nobody ever gonna get this sh*t, it's just too weird. They aint gonna understand where I'm from and this angle.' But hard work pays...just stay in people's face with your music and you dedicate your artwork to being genuine, and putting out material that is credible. And keeping the integrity of the music first, it pays man."
With his new album Trunk Muzik: 0-60 getting ready to drop October 26, Yela is ready for big things.
"Any artist that tells you they don't wanna go bigger, bigger and bigger, they're lying man. That feeling can't be replaced."

Video After The JumpBeing the son of a hip hop legend could be a hindrance to some people that can't handle the pressure, especially when your chosen field of work is the same. Young MC Diggy Simmons is out to prove he can establish his own identity outside of his father Rev Run's."A lot of people ask me that. 'Do you feel pressure? Is it a lot for the fact your uncle is who he is [Russell Simmons], and your dad is [famous]'. But at the end of the day, from the beginning all the way til now, I've always just done me," Diggy says.
Diggy has achieved some success early in the game. At age 15, he already has two mixtapes out, and a deal with Atlantic Records. Some people think he's been over hyped or that his success has been a fluke.
"Of course people are gonna think that it's a fluke because on 'Run's House', you know and where I came from. But if you see how long I've been going with it...I've put out two mixtapes already, and doing my thing on the internet. And didn't even run straight to a single or run straight to a label. You can see that I'm building a career and a fan base, something that's going to have longevity."
Young Dig uses the word "n*gga" quite a bit in his songs. He was asked how his parents feel about that.
"I just feel as long as it's not any other [curse] word. I don't necessarily think that's a curse word. I don't think that's a derogatory term. Over time it became soething positive in the African American community."
Diggy goes on to talk about his sneaker line and his 'Airborne' mixtape that features Chris Brown, Raekwon, Lupe Fiasco and PharellRead more…
