Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson is catching major flack for comments he made during a speech on Monday, March 6, when he referred to slaves as "immigrants."

73793252?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

"That's what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity," Carson said. "There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land."

73793372?profile=original

Actor Samuel L. Jackson couldn't believe what he had heard. He tore into Carson via his Twitter account.

OK!! Ben Carson....I can't! Immigrants? In the bottom of SLAVE SHIPS??!! MUTHAFUKKA PLEASE!!!," Jackson wrote.

The New York Police Department are on the lookout for Azealia Banks.

She was due in court on Monday, March 6, for an incident in which she allegedly bit the breast of a female bouncer. Banks failed to show and the judge in the case issued a warrant for her arrest.

As we reported at the time, the Harlem, New York rapper was arrested December 16, 2015, and charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault, following an altercation at club Up&Down in New York City.

Banks reportedly went to the club with an invited guest to attend a party for one of the club's owners. The event was invite-only and attendees were required to get their hand stamped before entering.

When Banks tried to enter the downstairs party she was told to go back up to get a stamp. An argument ensued with 2 bouncers who didn't recognize her.

She reportedly threw a fit and started “screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing” and using racial slurs. A club owner spotted the commotion and allowed Banks in.

Still angry, Banks reportedly attacked the female guard.

A witness says she.“spit in the [female bouncer’s] face.” As Banks was being removed from the club she allegedly bit the bouncer's breast hard enough to almost rip her shirt, causing swelling and redness.

Another day, another lawsuit against Tyga. The G.O.O.D. Music recording artist didn't even bother to show up in court for the latest one, leaving his bank account $65,000 lighter because of it.

TMZ reports that the 27-year old "Rack City" rapper, born Micheal Ray Stevenson, was sued by Z Entertainment for breaking a 2015 performance contract.

It seems T-Raww promised not to perform any other Las Vegas shows while in town for Z Entertainment's concert. He decided to double up anyway, taking a gig at a competing venue.

The rapper was also a no-show at a concert for the promoters the year prior. Which makes one wonder why they booked him a second time. Nevertheless, Tyga has to pay $65,000 to the company.

Video After The Jump

A rapper trying to build a buzz for his new mixtape took a very unorthodox route and may end up in legal trouble because of it.

Majesty Da Rebel, born Key Jonta Foster, spotted ABC 7 New York reporter CeFaan Kim broadcasting live in Manhattan on Saturday, March 4. He ran up while wearing a hockey mask and put his arm around Kim, while yelling out his rap name.

12352566683?profile=original

Kim attempts to push the rapper away from the camera. The two tussle slightly before Rebel pushes Kim to the ground. They both accuse each other of starting the altercation.

12352567086?profile=original

Rebel eventually yanks off the mask and continues to argue. The men are eventually separated.

Kim tweeted out video footage of the incident and asked the public for help in identifying him.

"This is the man who attacked me last night during a live broadcast. If anyone has seen him around please give the 7th precinct a call," Kim wrote.

As it turns out Kim didn't need help finding the person he was looking for because Rebel gave an interview to the New York Post, providing them with all of his information and explained why he pulled the stunt.

“The reason I did it was because I knew I’d get negative feedback from it,” Rebel told The Post. “I can always flip that. I saw an opportunity and took the opportunity to promote my video and mixed tape. From the beginning, it was friendly — I put my arm around him, and then he pushed me, grabbed me.

“I’m not scared to deal with the consequences,” he continued. “They’ll probably interrogate me, ask me what happened. White guys bomb video reporters all the time. A black man tries to get air time and then gets beat up by the reporter. I’m gonna do what I gotta do and seize an opportunity.”

2017 is already a huge year for Future and we're not even three full months in.

Billboard reports that the Atlanta rapper will become the first artist in history to have two different albums debuting at No. 1 on back to back weeks.

His self titled album kicked things off when it took the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart the week following it's February 17 release, with sales of 140,000 album-equivalent units.

12352560461?profile=original

On February 24, Future followed that up by releasing "HNDRXX," which is projected to land at No. 1 by selling between 110,000 and 130,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 2.

12352560871?profile=original

The albums will secure the top two spots on the Billboard 200. A feat that was last accomplished by Prince, the week following his 2016 death, with the albums "The Very Best of Prince" and at No. 2 with the "Purple Rain" soundtrack.

Congrats Future on a job well done!

Video After The Jump

(Reuters) The former top U.S. intelligence official rejected President Donald Trump's accusation that his predecessor, Barack Obama, wiretapped him even as the White House on Sunday urged Congress to investigate Trump's allegation.

The New York Times reported on Sunday that FBI Director James Comey asked the Justice Department this weekend to reject Trump's wiretapping claim because it was false and must be corrected, but the department had not done so. The report cited senior U.S. officials.

The White House asked Congress, controlled by Trump's fellow Republicans, to examine whether the Obama administration abused its investigative authority during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, as part of an ongoing congressional probe into Russia's influence on the election.

Trump on Saturday alleged, without offering supporting evidence, that Obama ordered a wiretap of the phones at Trump's campaign headquarters in Trump Tower in New York.

"There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time, or as a candidate or against his campaign," former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who left his post at the end of Obama's term in office in January, said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Under U.S. law, a federal court would have to have found probable cause that the target of the surveillance is an "agent of a foreign power" in order to approve a warrant authorizing electronic surveillance of Trump Tower.

Asked whether there was such a court order, Clapper said, "I can deny it."

Democrats accused Trump of trying to distract from the rising controversy about possible ties to Russia. His administration has come under pressure from FBI and congressional investigations into contacts between members of his campaign team and Russian officials.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions bowed out last week of any probe into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election after it emerged he met last year with Russia's ambassador while serving as a Trump campaign advisor. Sessions maintained he did nothing wrong by failing to disclose the meetings.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump and administration officials would have no further comment on the issue until Congress has completed its probe, potentially heading off attempts to get Trump to explain his accusations.

"Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling," Spicer said in a statement.

U.S. Representative Devin Nunes, Republican head of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee examining possible links between Russia and Trump's campaign, said in a statement that any possible surveillance on campaign officials would be part of the probe.

Trump made the wiretapping accusation in a series of early morning tweets on Saturday amid expanding scrutiny of his campaign's ties to Russia. An Obama spokesman denied the charge, saying it was "a cardinal rule" that no White House official interfered with independent Justice Department investigations.

The White House offered no evidence on Sunday to back up Trump's accusation and did not say it was true.

Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, appearing on ABC's "This Week," said Trump has "made very clear what he believes, and he's asking that we get down to the bottom of this. Let's get the truth here."

'EARLY STAGES OF INVESTIGATION'

Trump, who is spending the weekend at his Florida resort, said in his tweets on Saturday that the alleged wiretapping took place in his Trump Tower office and apartment building in New York, but there was "nothing found."

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Trump had either made a false accusation, or a judge had found probable cause to authorize a wiretap.

"Either way, the president's in trouble," Schumer said on NBC's "Meet the Press," adding that if Trump was spreading misinformation, "it shows this president doesn't know how to conduct himself."

Clapper said "there was no evidence" of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in a January intelligence report concluding Russian interference in the 2016 election, but "this could have unfolded or become available in the time since I left government."

Trump's allegations echo charges made in recent days by several conservative news and commentary outlets, all without offering any evidence.

Trump should immediately turn over any evidence he has to support his allegation, said U.S. Senator Susan Collins, a Maine Republican who serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

"What we need to deal with is evidence, not just statements," she said on CBS's "Face the Nation," adding she also had not seen evidence of collaboration "but we are in the very early stages of our investigation."

Trump fired his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, in February after revelations that he had discussed U.S. sanctions on Russia with the Russian ambassador before Trump took office.

Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary under Obama, said the president did not have the authority to unilaterally order a wiretap of a U.S. citizen.

"The president was not giving marching orders to the FBI about how to conduct its investigation," Earnest said on ABC's "This Week."
