Chance the Rapper gave back to the children in his hometown of Chicago on Monday, March 6, by donating $1 million to the city's public school system.

"Today, I'm proud to announce that I'm donating one million dollars to CPS, to support arts and enrichment programming," the 23-year old Grammy Award-winning artist said during a press conference. "I'm excited to share that this donation was made possible by my fans. Through ticket sales from my upcoming tour and an unprecedented coordination from Live Nation and AEG and Ticketmaster. Also with independent promotors and venues across the country.

"I'm honored to make this donation to the Chicago Public Schools Foundation to help cultivate Chicago creative minds," he he continued. "I'm committed to helping Chicago's children have quality learning experiences that include the arts."
