A New York jury on Tuesday found former President Donald Trump liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s, but not liable for her alleged rape.

The jury awarded her $5 million in damages for her battery & defamation claims.

Asked on their verdict sheet if Carroll, 79, had proven “by a preponderance of the evidence” that “Mr. Trump raped Ms. Carroll,” the 9-person jury checked the box that said “no.” Asked if Carroll had proven “by a preponderance of the evidence” that “Mr. Trump sexually abused Ms. Carroll,” the jury checked the box that said “yes.” Both allegations were elements of Carroll’s battery claim.

The 6 men & 3 women also found Trump had defamed her by calling her claims a “hoax” and “a con job.”

Carroll sued Trump accusing him of battery & defamation in Manhattan federal court last year, alleging he raped her in the dressing room of a Bergdorf Goodman department store near his Fifth Avenue home in 1995 or 1996.

Trump, first as president & then as a private citizen, called her account a fiction that she concocted to boost book sales & has said the writer is “not my type.” He did not testify in the case, but portions of his videotaped deposition from October were played for the jury.

The verdict was required to be unanimous.

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) — Bond was set at $5 million Wednesday for an Illinois woman whose 6-year-old son died after being placed in a cold shower as punishment for misbehavior.

The Lake County Coroner's Office in northwest Indiana conducted the postmortem examination on Damari Perry on Monday morning after the FBI found the boy's body early Saturday, the coroner's office said.

The autopsy found "scattered ecchymosis on the right leg, extremely cold core temperature, and partially frozen internal organs," the coroner's office said, adding that there was "postmortem thermal injury/charring" on the child's body.

Jannie Perry, 38, of North Chicago, was charged Saturday with first-degree murder in the death of Damari Perry.

A $5 million arrest warrant was issued for Perry Assistant Lake County State’s Attorney Lindsay Hicks asked that Perry’s bail remain at that amount. Lake County Judge Raymond Collins granted that request, Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart said.

“We believe that the court made the right decision with respect to this defendant’s bond & custody status,” Rinehart said after the bond hearing.

When asked by the judge if she planned to hire a private attorney, Perry replied “eventually,” but that for now she needed representation by the Lake County Public Defender’s Office.

Perry also faces charges of concealing a homicidal death & obstructing justice.

One of her sons, Jeremiah Perry, 20, was charged with aggravated battery causing great harm to a child under 12, concealing a homicidal death & obstructing justice. His bond was set at $3 million Sunday, Rinehart said.

The Lake County, Indiana, Coroner’s Office said Tuesday in a pending cause of death that Damari died of hypothermia.

CHICAGO (ABC30) -- While Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is in a U.S. prison, 4 of his children are either under indictment or under investigation by federal agents in Chicago.

They are known as Los Chapitos, the 4 most-trusted sons of the world's most notorious drug kingpin. Federal drug investigators in Chicago consider El Chapo's sons in charge of the Sinaloa cartel, the multibillion-dollar criminal empire once run by their father.

That cartel remains the Chicago area's largest trafficker of heroin, cocaine & methamphetamine. U.S. officials have now put bounties on each of the sons at $5 million per man.

From the moment Guzman was arrested in 2016 after a firefight with Mexican commandos, his sons were destined to assume the throne of the Sinaloa cartel.

Even though their father is believed to have dozens of children, four were groomed early to take over in his expected absence, WLS reported. Now, with El Chapo doing life at the super-max prison in Colorado, they are in charge. Sons Joaquín Guzmán López, Ovidio Guzmán López, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar are in demand by American authorities.

Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, known as Alfredillo, is believed to be at the top of the heap. He's now under indictment in Chicago, charged with trafficking & conspiracy.

El Chapo's apparent number-one son doesn't hide his narco-world affluence. WLS has reported that he posts video of his expensive fleet of sports cars, private planes & the trail of cash that has made him a top target of federal agents.

The State Department has now put up $5 million reward offers on each of the Chapitos. U.S. officials have added a detail to the fugitive file of Ovidio Guzmán-López. They now say the drug lord nicknamed "The Mouse" has ordered the murders of informants, a rival drug trafficker & a popular Mexican singer who refused to perform at his wedding.

As important as El Chapo's four sons are to law enforcement in Chicago and Washington, they still aren't the cartel's "most wanted" drug fugitives. Sinaloa's co-founder Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia currently has a $15 million bounty. In all, the U.S. government is willing to pay nearly $100 million in rewards for the world's top drug dealers.

GoFundMe has pulled a fundraising page aimed at collecting $5 million for Waukesha Christmas parade suspect Darrell Brooks.

Brooks, 39, was charged Tuesday with five counts of intentional homicide after police said he was the driver of the SUV that rammed into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing six people and injuring 58 more. Brooks's bail is set at $5 million.

The "bail fund for Darrell Brooks" page was listed as "Campaign Not Found" on GoFundMe's website on Thursday. The company confirmed to FOX Business that it removed the page for violating the company's Terms of Service, and banned Norton from using the platform.

GoFundMe has come under fire recently for allowing fundraisers for Kyle Rittenhouse, who was found not guilty of homicide and weapons charges after killing Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum and partially paralyzing Gaige Grosskreutz with an assault-style rifle.

The fundraising platform said raising money for the legal defense of an alleged crime is prohibited by its Terms of Service, but once a person is acquitted, fundraisers started after the fact for legal expenses are allowed.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — It won’t be a dog’s life for a Tennessee canine whose owner recently died.

Lulu, an 8-year-old border collie, will be living the good life in Nashville after inheriting $5 million in her owner’s will, WTVF-TV reported.

Martha Burton, Lulu’s caretaker, told the station Lulu’s owner, Bill Dorris, was a successful businessman who wasn’t married and died late last year. His will states the money should be put into a trust for Lulu’s care. It allows for Burton to be reimbursed for reasonable monthly expenses in the care of Lulu.

“He just really loved the dog,” said Burton, who was friends with Dorris and would take care of the dog when he traveled.

She says she doesn’t know if she could ever spend $5 million on Lulu.

“Well, I’d like to try,” she said with a smile.

Dorris owned land along Interstate 65 where a controversial statue of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest is located. The fate of the statue & the rest of the estate may be determined in probate court.

As if Dr. Dre's week wasn't rough enough ... he's agreed to pay his estranged wife $2 million in temporary spousal support -- but he's not coughing up the $5 mil she wants for her divorce attorneys.

The music mogul and Nicole Young struck the deal that calls for Dre to write a one-time check for the $2 mil. That's all he'll pay ... at least until the next divorce hearing in April. Now it will be up to Nicole to decide how much of that amount she forks over to her lawyers.

As we reported, Nicole was demanding $2 mil per month, PLUS another $5 million in attorney's fees.

Our sources say Dre will continue to cover Nicole's living expenses at her Malibu pad, as well as her mother's Pacific Palisades home for the next several months. However, Dre will NOT cover Nicole's security costs ... she'll have to pay that from the $2 mil.

Dre and Young's lawyers struck the deal in court, but we're told Dre had to sign the agreement from his bed at Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Remember ... he's been dishing out $293,306 a month in temporary support. Now, he can focus on his recovery.

TMZ broke the story ... Dre suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this week and he was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. He was taken directly to ICU. Dre later thanked his fans for their support and said he's doing great and getting excellent care.

The UFC’s roughest fight might be in court over the next few years.

A group of former UFC fighters suing the promotion scored a key legal victory on Thursday when federal judge Richard Boulware said he would grant their lawsuit class-action status, according Kevin Draper of The New York Times.

The antitrust lawsuit dates all the way back to 2014, initially filed by Cung Le Jon Fitch and Nate Quarry against the UFC’s parent company. The lawsuit claims the UFC has abused its monopoly power in the MMA labor market, suppressing fighter wages.

While competitors remain like Bellator and the PFL, other larger competitors like Strikeforce, Pride and WEC have been bought out and absorbed by the UFC.

"This is an enormous win for all UFC fighters, past, present and future," Le said in a statement provided by the MMA Fighters Association, which backs the lawsuit. "For too long, the UFC has taken advantage of fighters by monopolizing the industry, and cheated fighters out of millions of dollars each year. Today's decision by Judge Boulware means our case can proceed for all UFC fighters that are part of the class."

The change in status will reportedly put any fighter who fought in the UFC between late 2010 and 2017, a group of about 1,200 fighters, to receive money from a legal victory or settlement unless they opt out.

The full price tag the UFC is facing if they lose in court: nearly $5 billion.

Per the Times, that number comes from how UFC fighters have historically seen less than 20 percent of the promotion’s total revenue, as opposed to the 50/50 splits seen in the NFL, NBA and NHL. A formula reportedly found the wage gap from differing revenue splits to amount to $1.6 billion, and damages are tripled in antitrust cases.

Will the UFC end up having to cut $5 billion in checks to its fighters? Probably not.

First of all, there are still plenty of obstacles for the lawsuit to even reach the trial phase. The UFC reportedly plans to appeal the granting of class action status to the lawsuit, and has also filed for a motion for summary judgement to throw out the case.

If both of those attempts to cut down the lawsuit fail, one expert told the Times the UFC will want to settle the case rather than take on a $5 billion risk with a trial. The expert said that antitrust settlements average at about 19 percent of single damages, working out to a very rough estimate of over $300 million. The UFC would also want to avoid the risk posed to its core business model, as a loss would fundamentally change how it signs fighters.

The plaintiffs are also reportedly seeking structural remedies in the UFC’s business practices, including the banning of long-term contracts.

Dr. Dre's estranged wife, Nicole Young, is requesting a hefty sum amid their divorce. According to court documents obtained by ET, Young is seeking $1,936,399 in monthly spousal support, as well as attorney’s fees and costs totaling $5 million. ET has reached out to attorneys for Young and Dre for comment.

ET confirmed in June that Young filed for divorce. The two tied the knot in May 1996 and recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.

According to the documents, Young wants the spousal support to begin retroactively from Sept. 1, so she "can continue to enjoy the lifestyle she enjoyed during marriage."

Attorneys for Young claim that she is "having difficulty paying her bills" and that the mogul, who controls all their assets, has "been exerting financial control" over his ex by "ordering his agents to scrutinize her bills" before he decides if he approves them or not.

While the papers state that Young does not work, her attorneys claim that she "played an important role" in Dre's career and "was integral" to naming his record label Aftermath, and should be able to continue the lifestyle she had before their divorce. The document also goes into detail about their luxurious lifestyle, which includes five Los Angeles homes, a private jet, lavish cars, 12 security guards, seven housekeepers, a private chef and more.

Additionally, Young claims that Dre "kicked her out" of their Brentwood residence in the middle of the night in a "drunken rage" and has since been living at their Malibu residence. However, she claims that he has threatened to sell that home, and allegedly texts her to "not spend one more cent."

Young also alleges that Dre has "undertaken an aggressive approach to this case, engaging in gamesmanship and no-holds-barred hyper-litigation simply because he can afford to." She also claims he has cut off the only source funds available to her to pay for her case.

She also goes into detail about their premarital agreement, which she claims she was forced to sign "under extreme duress" on their wedding day. Young claims she was never provided with a copy of the prenup she signed and "only begrudgingly -- and after multiple requests and a delay of two month -- received a copy."

Meanwhile, Forbes reports that Dre was worth $800 million as of 2019. This fortune is due in part to his successful headphone line, Beats By Dr. Dre, which Apple acquired for $3 billion in 2014.

Corporations don't like bad publicity or controversy. Tekashi69 is learning that the hard way after having his $4.9 million headphone deal go up in smoke.

The rapper was going to promote TUNES Audio's red headphones, but the company has backed out of the deal because of growing controversy surrounding the "Gummo" hit maker, according to TMZ

As we previously reported6ix9ine's manager, Tr3way, is being investigated for possibly firing a gun during a fight between his camp and rival rapper Casanova inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, April 21, during the Adrien Broner vs Jessie Vargas boxing match.

Based on surveillance footage, cops also believe someone resembling Tr3way fired two to four shots at a vehicle trailing Tekashi's SUV on the way to the event.

A California woman is dragging Russell Simmons into court, alleging her raped her.

ABC News reports that Jennifer Jarosik filed a $5 million lawsuit against Simmons in a California district court Wednesday, January 24.

Jarosik said she and Simmons became friends in 2006 and shared "love and passion for meditation, yoga and a vegan diet."

In August of that same year she claims the business mogul invited her to his home and propositioned her for sex. When she refused, Simmons "got aggressive" and pushed her on his bed. The two struggled and at some point Jarosik fell off the bed and hit her head.

Simmons then allegedly "pounced on her while she was still in shock and fear, and proceeded to rape her."

Jarosik says she was left "sick, sore, lame, disabled and disordered, both internally and externally and suffered from extreme emotional distress."

Simmons issued a statement denying the allegation:

"These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual. I am blessed to have shared extraordinary relationships, whether through work or love, with many great women; and I have enormous respect for the women’s movement worldwide and their struggle for respect, dignity, equality and power. I am devastated by any reason I may have given to anyone to say or think of me in the ways that are currently being described."

He continued: "In recent weeks, some former business, creative and romantic partners have aired grievances as claims I categorically reject. In some of these instances, financial motives and direct contradictory witness testimony has been supplied to the media, which has been completely left out of stories. The current allegations range from the patently untrue to the frivolous and hurtful. The presumption of innocent until proven guilty must not be replaced by 'Guilty by Accusation.'"

Jarosik is the sixth woman to publicly accuse the Def Jam Recordings co-founder of sexual assault.

It's been an eventful last couple of weeks for Joe Budden.

The 37-year old rapper welcomed his second child, a baby boy with girlfriend Cyn Santana, left his job as host of Complex's "Everyday Struggle," then bounced right back with a new gig.

The Source reports that Diddy wasted no time in scooping up the free agent by signing him to a $5 million deal to host a show on Revolt. The exact details are still under wraps, but Budden's previous broadcast experience dealing with hip-hop related content would lead one to believe this new endeavor won't stray far away from his strong suits.

Congratulations to Joe for quickly landing back on his feet.

The situation surrounding Tyrese Gibson is getting stranger by the day.

Last week the 38-year-old singer and "Fast and the Furious" star released an emotional video while dealing with a child abuse investigation regarding his 10-year old daughter, Shayla.

In the clip he cries and begs his ex-wife Norma Gibson, who was seeking a permanent restraining order against him, not to take his daughter away. Tyrese also said he couldn't find work because of the investigation.

After looking into the case Child Protective Services decided to drop it.

Things appeared to be looking even more positive for Tyrese when he announced via Instagram this week that Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith loaned him $5 million until he could get back on his feet.

"When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I️ repeat nothing...... My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat," the "How You Gonna Act Like That" hit maker wrote.

However, a new report by TMZ suggests Tyrese made up the story about the loan.

Sources close to Will and Jada told the website the couple never sent him any amount of money.

They have known Tyrese for years and fear he's having some sort of breakdown.

Stay tuned ...

Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson has been going through it lately, but he also has a lot to be thankful for.

The child abuse investigation against him, sparked by allegations that he beat his 10-year old daughter with ex-wife Norma Gibson, has been dropped and his current wife, Samantha Gibson, is pregnant with their first child.

During his court case Tyrese was unable to find work because studios were hesitant to hire him, which put him in a financial bind. However, thanks to a generous gift from Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, that burden has been lifted.

"When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I️ repeat nothing...... My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat," the "Fast and the Furious" star revealed via his Instagram account. "You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen..... The Smiths’s and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson’s Uncle Will you’re an uncle for real."

Everybody could use friends like Will and Jada.

In May of 2016, Sinead O'Connor, accused comedian and actor Arsenio Hall of providing narcotics to Prince prior to his death. She also claimed he drugged her years ago at Eddie Murphy's home.

"Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades.... Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince's and Eddie Murphy's bitch)," O'Conner wrote on her Facebook page Monday, May 2nd. "Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land. Arsenio I've reported you to the Carver County Sherrif's office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie murphy's house. You best get tidying your man cave."

Hall denied the accusations and immediately filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against O'Connor.

On Wednesday, February 22nd, he withdrew the suit after O'Connor issued a public apology.

"I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince's drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs," the Irish singer told TMZ. "Or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince's death. I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally."

O'Connor is best known for her 1990 hit song "Nothing Compares 2 U," which was written and composed by Prince.

Prince died April 21, 2016. The cause of death was determined to be an accidental fentanyl opioid overdose. He was 57-years old.

Video After The Jump

As many of you by know by now former Hot Boys rapper Turk spent nearly 9 years incarcerated for allegedly shooting 2 police officers during a 2004 raid on his Memphis, Tennessee apartment.

Since being released from prison in 2012, Turk has started his own record label, YNT Empire, gotten off of probation, and has been focused on putting out new music.

However, there are still legal fees associated with his case that he cannot afford to pay. Last week he started a GoFundMe page seeking $5 million in donations.

12352001452?profile=original

In response to people questioning his motives, Turk has released a video addressing the situation.

"I know everybody wondering 'Why the fuck Turk start a GoFundMe account?' As y'all know I did 9 years. I was locked up in the penitentiary for a crime I didn't do," Turk said. "When I was locked up the judge awarded the police officer that say that I shot him a $10 million default judgement. Now that I'm home ... now that I'm out, they trying to put me back in the system because the police officer feels like, 'He's out, he's a rapper, he's making money, he on social media. He doing this and doing that.' You know, just trying to put things together, thinking I'm stashing money from him.

So, they subpoenaed me to come and give a account of what's going on. And to be real, it's like $5 million I don't have to give no officer," Turk continued. "I don't have it. That's just real, I don't have it. I have told them that on several occasions, but they steady insisting on collecting money from something that's not there. If I was the person that really did this -- I'm off of probation. I did my time. To shoot a police that's some gangster shit, but I maintain my innocence. Video After The Jump

Clinton Portis could have bought almost anything he desired during his career in the National Football League. The 34-year old former star earned $43 million over a nine years, in which he played for the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins. He was taken in the second round by the Broncos in the 2002 draft.

Today, the man who in the regular season rushed for 9,923 yards, scored 75 touchdowns and was voted to two Pro Bowls is in deep financial trouble..

The Sporting News reports that Portis filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November, citing debts totaling $4,857,659.50.

His debts include:

* $500,000 to Entertainment Tonight correspondent Nischelle Turner

* $412,000 in unpaid domestic support to four different women

* $390,000 in back taxes

* $287,178.56 to the MGM Grand

* $170,000 to the Borgato Casino in Atlantic City

* $500,000 to his mom

* $1,223,020 in mortgage deficiencies

* $65,553 for a repossessed BMW

The money issues Portis faces are unfortunately the norm for athletes in his profession.

A 2009 Sports Illustrated report found that within two years of leaving the league, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce.

Portis has reportedly been "a victim of swindlers," according to The Sporting News. He also lost money in a failed casino venture in Alabama.

Being called a "thot" isn't worth $5 million. As a matter of fact it's worth zilch, according to a North Carolina judge who ruled against Christine Chisholm in her lawsuit against 2 Chainz.

Chisholm sued the rapper in July 2015, for referring to her as a "thot" in a 2014 viral video that was filmed backstage at a Tity Boi show.

"Is this your thot?" 2 Chainz asks someone in the clip, before telling Chisholm she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. "I think you should go that way. Because while you're back here, you're in a blog territory."

"Oh shit, this is going on a blog for real?" Chisholm asks. "This is going on a blog and you're really recording?"

Chisholm sued 2 Chainz for $5 million, claiming the negative attention from the video caused her to lose her job, led to harassment and abuse.

The judge dismissed the case, ruling that being called a "thot" didn't rise to the level of "extreme or outrageous conduct," according to TMZ.
