The trial lasted a month.
Maraj allegedly raped his 11-year old stepdaughter repeatedly at his Baldwin, New York home between April and November 2015 while her mother was at work.

Celebrating the anniversary of one of my favorite albums “As I Am”!! “When You Were Gone” is one of the VERY first songs recorded for As I Am, the one where I started to create the sound that the album has. We were experimenting with a lot of keyboards and sounds and styles of recording, and we were all about breaking boundaries and writing things in new ways.

A Change.org petition has been started calling for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to reevaluate Meek Mill's prison sentence.
"Meek Mill has been a powerful voice in the community for our youth," the petition reads. "He has made positive contributions to many communities and programs, dedicating time and money to the cultivation of our youth and neighborhoods; even through his own adversities. He has continued to be dedicated and shown an immaculate work ethic, even at times when the system tried to prevent him from being able to tour, which is how he makes a living.
"This petition is designed to show the amount of people who believe that the punishment was harsh and that him being imprisoned will be a disservice to the youth and community at large. We humbly ask for your reconsideration of his sentence."
As we previously reported, Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley gave Meek a 2-4 year prison sentence on Monday, November 6, for violating his probation, stemming from a 2009 drug and gun conviction.
