(The Score) - Floyd Mayweather denied that he ever agreed to fight kickboxing superstar Tenshin Nasukawa in a lengthy Instagram post Wednesday.

"Now that I am back on U.S. soil after a long and disappointing trip to Tokyo, I now have the time to address you, my fans and the media in regards to the upcoming event on December 31 that was recently announced. First and foremost, I want it to be clear that I, Floyd Mayweather, never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa. In fact (with all due respect) I have never heard of him until this recent trip to Japan," the boxer wrote.

The Rizin Fight Federation announced Sunday that Mayweather would fight Nasukawa on Dec. 31 in Japan.

Mayweather said he was under the impression that he would participate in a private three-round, nine-minute exhibition against an opponent of Rizin's choosing for a "small group of wealthy spectators." After arriving at the press conference, Mayweather said he and his team were "derailed" by the way the event was being characterized.

"For the sake of the several fans and attendees that flew in from all parts of the world to attend this past press conference, I was hesitant to create a huge disturbance by combating what was being said and for that, I am truly sorry," Mayweather wrote. "I am a retired boxer that earns an unprecedented amount of money, globally, for appearances, speaking engagements, and occasional small exhibitions."

Mayweather (50-0) has yet to fight since defeating Conor McGregor in an August 2017 bout that was dubbed "The Money Fight."

Nasukawa remains unbeaten in mixed martial arts and kickboxing.

Mac Miller's cause of death has been revealed.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office released its toxicology results, showing the 26-year old Pittsburgh native, born Malcolm McCormick, passed away on September 7, 2018, from a combination of cocaine, fentanyl and alcohol, according to TMZ.

Other drugs found in his San Fernando Valley home included oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax and hydrocodone.

Miller was already "blue" when an assistant discovered his body in bed in a "praying position." He was kneeling forward, with his face resting on his knees.

The rapper was bleeding from one nostril and had a 1/4 inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose.

A rolled-up $20 bill with white powdery residue was in the "Self Care" hit maker's right pocket.

Video After The Jump

TOKYO (AP) — Floyd Mayweather is planning on fighting Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on Dec. 31 in Saitama, north of Tokyo.

The 41-year-old Mayweather is 50-0 in his boxing career but has never fought professionally under MMA rules. Although he did have a lucrative win over MMA fighter Conor McGregor last year.

Japanese promoter the RIZIN Fighting Federation on Monday said rules and the weight class for the bout have not been set.

“We still have some work to do,” said Nobuyuki Sakakibara, the RIZIN chairman.

The 20-year-old Nasukawa, speaking at a news conference alongside Mayweather, called it “probably the biggest event of my life so far.”

He also vowed to end Mayweather’s long string of victories.

“Nobody has defeated my opponent in the past, and I would like to be the man who makes history,” Nasukawa said, speaking through an interpreter. “My punch can change history. And I will show that to you. So please stay tuned.”

Mayweather sat calmly and then praised his young opponent.

“I think he’s young, very strong and very fast and he undefeated so it’s obvious he’s doing something right,” Mayweather said.
