It only takes one listen to Eminem's latest album, to see that the 37 year old mc is at a good place in his life. He's kicked a lot of old bad habits and it shows in his music. 'Recovery' just reached double platinum status and it probably has a lot to do with two things. He has a very loyal fan base and also because his subject material is not rehashed from past albums. Em doesn't take his normal shots at annoying pop stars like Britney Spears on this disc. One diva in particular he chose to ignore has been a thorn in his side for a while, but Slim tells Vibe he's off that now. There won't be any more Mariah Carey disses coming. "You know what? I got to be honest. I really don’t want to talk about her anymore only just because it’s kind of like the last thing I said about her was on “Cold Wind Blows.” I made the comment. When it comes to Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, there is no comparison if you ask Birdman. In a story reported by HipHopWired, the Cash Money CEO says Jay-Z takes a back seat to his "son" as both a rapper and in earning money. "I don't think he [Jay-Z] a number one emcee in no kinda way. Wayne the best he do the most and he make the most money," he said. Forbes recently ranked Jay-Z as hip hop's top earner with $63 million made, with Lil Wayne ranked fourth with an earned income of $20 million, Birdman disputes their figures. "I don't think no n*gga in the business make more money than us. How could you be the best if you don't make the best money, the most money and you don't do the most. Lyrically, come on man be for real man can't nobody f*ck with Wayne. And to me, if you number one and you ain't getting no money it don't mean nothing. Who's making the most money. That's number one to me. F*ck all that rap sh*t. Sh*t, y'all got cold rappers you never even heard and then you got n*ggas who really can't rap and making money. Still, after jabbing Jay-Z pretty hard, Baby wanted to make it known that there was no beef with Hov “No, no, [beef]. Nothing personal, they just asked me my opinion and that was my opinion. I think we do the most and make the most, so if you don't like it, that's on you. I can't see past Wayne, so I can't see Jay-Z." I don't know, that kind of sounded like steak to me.

Super-producer Swizz Beats has left Universal/Motown inked a new label deal with Everest and Atlantic/Warner who will oversee his new solo album according to Billboard. "I couldn't ask to be in a better place right now. Both Everest and the Atlantic/Warner team have been great and I'm looking forward to sharing this project with true fans of good music," he said. Expect Swizzy's album to drop in the fall with features from Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Coldplay, John Legend, Drake and T.I. Swizz is also showing off his artistic side, having designed one of three covers YRB magazine will use for it's next issue. What do you guys think of the cover, cool or creepy?

The Toronto MC's debut album, Thank Me Later, is platinum, he's about to headline his upcoming Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour and he's just notched 1 million Twitter followers. With that type of success, there's probably very little that is out of the lyricist's reach. But Drake revealed that there is one thing he wants that he hasn't been able to secure yet: snagging Wiz Khalifa as his tourmate. "I had a little bit of a fan moment, I tried to get this third cat on my tour," Drizzy told more than 30,000 fans who logged on to check him out live on Ustream on Thursday (August 19). The broadcast came on the heels of the premiere of his "Miss Me" video with Lil Wayne. Apparently, Drake was keeping his plan to add another act to his tour on the low. "You know we was trying to get Wiz on the tour," he said, simultaneously informing listeners and his team who were hanging out in the room and clearly didn't know what he was referring to. The MC then addressed his fans once again: "Hopefully, the Light Dreams [and] Nightmares Tour, depending on what city we go to, it'll be Clipse, Bun B and Wiz Khalifa. That's what I'm hoping. I don't know, maybe I spoke too soon." Clipse were already confirmed to join the Young Money MC on the road, along with Houston O.G. Bun B, when the tour kicks off on September 20 in Miami. The chart-topping singer and rapper asked the "Hottest Breakthrough MC" directly about possibly joining the fall tour. "If Wiz by any chance watches this, you gotta make some calls for me and make this happen," Drake said. "We got that young energy right now, we need to go out here and kill these people." In addition to making his plea for a more Taylor Gang-friendly Light Dreams tour lineup, the MC said he really wants to work with producer 9th Wonder on the follow-up to Thank Me Later. "9th, can we start this next album please?" Drake asked. This Montana Fishburne story continues to take daily twists and turns. The young, and possibly naive porn starlet has beef with Brian Pumper over the footage he used of him breaking her back in his movie "Phattys Rhymes & Dimes 14" according to TMZ. According to the report, Fishburne never signed a release form for the footage to be used in Brian's film which caused all kinds of trouble for Vivid Entertainment. Vivid was working under the assumption that they had Montana's only sex tape. The company was forced to move up it's release date in an effort to beat Brian's. Fishburne has hired a legal team who have already fired off "cease and desist" letters to Brian, demanding he stop selling his tape immediately. Fishburne's lawyers claim she only shot the footage with Brian to "practice" for her Vivid debut. PRACTICE? (Allen Iverson look) I'm no expert in these matters, but if they were practicing, why would Pumper be filming it from all those different angles and why in the hell did Montana swallow like she drinking coconut juice? In recent interviews, Fishburne has tried to distance herself from the Pumper released film. Saying she won't be promoting it and isn't "proud" of it. Brian has said that Montana's boyfriend/pimp, J-Pipes was right there watching as they shot the footage. Shouldn't he have insisted it not be filmed if it was only "practice" like Montana is claiming? I'm guessing we haven't heard the end of this story.

When they are asked who's idea it was to go into a porn career, there was an awkward pause there with both wanting to say something before Montana took the lead. I guess Lindsay Lohan is just very clumsy. Despite all of the footage of the starlet falling coming out of clubs, asleep in the back of cars and acting erratically, the doctors at UCLA have determined she doesn't have a drug problem and is not bi-polar according to TMZ. Lindsay has been weaned off all the meds she was taking. Dilaudid, Ambien, Adderall, Zoloft, Trazodone and Nexium and has had no adverse reaction. She has also not had any withdrawal symptoms from alcohol. Her doctors are recommending she spend no more than 30 of the 90 days ordered by the judge in her case in their facility. Once she is out of the treatment facility, Lindsay will keep on winning. She has reportedly been offered $1million dollars from OK Magazine for her first post jail/rehab interview.

So my right leg has been acting kinda funny. I still have a lil’ mobility, I can still stand up in the booth…but I’d rather the mobility of my legs be jeopardized than my musicality be jeopardized at any given point of time. “ But why exactly was he in the psych ward in the first place? “Honestly I can say I was in the hospital for a broken heart," he says. See, this type of talk could be why he was dropped from Interscope Records him without ever releasing an album. Roger Clemems Indicted By Federal Government On Perjury Charges Related To Steroid Use. Could Face 15-21 Months In Jail

A federal grand jury indicted Roger Clemens on Thursday on charges of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs. An indictment was returned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson of the District at a brief hearing shortly after 1:30 p.m. The indictment charges Clemens with one count of obstruction of Congress, three counts of making false statements and two counts of perjury in connection with his February 2008 testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. If convicted, he faces 15 to 21 months in prison. "Our government cannot function if witnesses are not held accountable for false statements made before Congress," said U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Mahen Jr. in a statement. "Today the message is clear: If a witness makes a choice to ignore his or her obligation to testify honestly, there will be consequences." In February 2008, Clemens, the seven-time Cy Young Award winner who pitched for the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Yankees and Astros, and Brian McNamee, his former trainer, contradicted one another in testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform about whether Clemens had used banned substances. The hearing came after McNamee had linked Clemens to banned substances in George Mitchell's report on baseball players' use of performance-enhancing drugs. Clemens alleged that McNamee was lying; McNamee reached a deal with federal authorities to avoid prosecution for steroid distribution. The Post reported in February 2009 that McNamee, in testimony at the hearing, said he injected Clemens nearly 40 times with steroids and human growth hormone from 1998 to 2001. McNamee's attorneys have said that their client gave federal investigators syringes, gauze pads and other items that he claimed he used to inject Clemens. He stored the items in a FedEx box in his basement. Clemens and his defense team have long challenged McNamee's credibility, saying the former trainer has lied about the pitcher's alleged drug use. They also have said that McNamee may have cooked up the evidence. On Aug. 12, a federal appeals court in Houston refused to reinstate a defamation lawsuit Clemens filed against McNamee. In a 2 to 1 ruling, a panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a Houston federal district judge's 2009 dismissal of most of Clemens's claims against McNamee. In her new promotional campaign for the Dereon 2010 Fall collection, R&B singer Beyonce is seen photographed in leggings which look extremely similar to leggings from Iceland’s E-label. “This is naturally huge and I am still half in shock. I didn’t twig straight away that this was her own label: I just thought she was wearing our leggings. It is practically just copy/paste,” says Heba Hallgrimsdottir, one of the owners of E-label. The designer of the black studded with metal spikes leggings, Asgrimur Mar Fridriksson, confirmed that Beyonce purchased the exact pair from their E-label brand at a branch of Topshop in London last November, stating it is a very “strange coincidence.” As to a lawsuit, Heba said her company needs to do more due diligence before going forward. “I have only just heard about this and no decision has yet been taken. We need to inspect her brand’s trousers closer because, according to law, it is not copied if a certain number of things have been changed from the original design,” Heba said. She added that Beyonce’s E-label leggings were bought from the Edit section of Topshop, which sell designs from little-known labels. At a hearing in Seaside Heights on Wednesday, an attorney for the Jersey Shore star entered not guilty pleas to all three charges, which relate to an arrest July 30 for being intoxicated in public. No matter how it turns out, the pint-sized Snooki is not expected to serve jail time. If she's convicted of all three charges, she faces $2,000 in fines. Video After The Jump Spectators ran for their lives when a bull jumped into the stands at a bullring in Navarre on Wednesday, injuring at least 30 people, according to Spanish media. The terrifying incident happened in Tafalla, in the northern region of Navarra, and occurred when the animal leapt over the fence and climbed up the stairs of the stands knocking over people, including young children. A 10-year-old boy was in a serious condition with stomach wounds while another spectator was gored in the back according to Spanish media. Most of the injuries were minor and were treated by medical staff on site but five were transported to hospital for further attention. The incident occurred during a contest of recortadores when brave participants attempt to dodge the bull as it runs frantically around the arena. Spectators and officials later tied a rope around the bull to get it under control. Spanish media reported that the animal was removed from the arena by a crane and later killed. It is extremely rare for a bull to jump over a security barrier and into the crowd. The incident comes at a time when the country is split over whether bullfighting should be completely outlawed. Last month Catalonia became the first major Spanish region to ban the deadly sport after heated debate that pitted animal rights against a pillar of traditional culture. The ban will take effect from 2010 in the northeastern coastal region whose capital is Barcelona.
