Shayanna Jenkins, 30, is continuing to stand by her late fiancé’s side. She showed nothing but acceptance while addressing rumors of Aaron Hernandez’s bisexuality, her first time ever doing so after his sexual orientation was speculated about in the Netflix docuseries Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, which was released on Jan. 15. “If he did feel that way, or if he felt the urge, I wish that I was told,” Shayanna said through tears in a sneak peek of her interview on Good Morning America, which airs on Jan. 29. She added, “I wish he would have told me because I would not have loved him any differently. I would have understood.”

Shayanna doesn’t just feel that way because Aaron was her fiancé and the father of their seven-year-old daughter, Avielle Janelle Jenkins-Hernandez. “[Bisexuality is] not shameful and I don’t think anybody should feel shameful on who they are inside, regardless of who they love,” Shayanna continued. “I think it’s a beautiful thing. I just wish I was able to tell him that.”

In the new docuseries, Dennis Sansoucie, who played football with Aaron at Connecticut’s Bristol Central High School, claimed they had “an on-and-off relationship from the 7th grade to the junior year of high school.” This isn’t the first time, though, that Shayanna has reacted to rumors of Aaron’s bisexuality. In May of 2017 — the month after the former New England Patriots player committed suicide in his prison cell — she went on Dr. Phil to say, “I had no indication or feeling that he was such…I don’t know where this came from. It’s embarrassing, and it’s hurtful. Regardless if it’s true or not, it’s just not something that I saw. It’s not something that I believe. It’s just not him.”

Ever since Aaron was found guilty of the 2013 murder of his friend and Shayanna’s sister’s fiancé, Odin Lloyd, Shayanna continued to support Aaron, even though he was handed a life sentence in prison in 2015. On top of that, Aaron had even been indicted on murder charges in 2014 for the double homicide of immigrants Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado, but was later found not guilty of their deaths.

Over the weekend two more inmates died in prisons in Mississippi bringing the total number of deaths in 2020 to 12.

Officials with Management and Training Corporation, a Utah contractor that runs three prisons on behalf of the state of Mississippi said 38-year-old inmate Jermaine Tyler died in custody Saturday night at the Marshall County Correctional Facility. A spokesperson said there were no signs of foul play.

On Sunday, Parchman State Penitentiary announced the death of 26-year-old inmate Joshua Norman, who was found hanging in his one-man cell in the prison's Unit 29.

Gov. Tate Reeves said he recently visited Parchman, where nine prisoner deaths have taken place in the past month, some by hanging & some following altercations within the facility.

Reeves said Monday he has instructed the Mississippi Department of Corrections to shut down Unit 29, which he called "the most notorious unit."

More than two dozen inmates sued the state Jan. 14, saying understaffed prisons are “plagued by violence” & inmates are forced to live in decrepit & dangerous conditions. Entertainers Jay-Z & Yo Gotti are paying for the attorneys in the case, a spokesperson for the two confirmed. All of the plaintiffs have been inmates at Parchman.

Kobe Bryant's public memorial could be such a massive event, organizers are considering holding it at the famous L.A. Coliseum because the Staples Center simply isn't big enough.

Our sources tell us ... a meeting took place this week to discuss where Kobe's eventual memorial might go down in the coming weeks or even months. People who were in the room say a few venues were considered -- some made more sense than others.

Of course, the Staples Center is considered "The House That Kobe Built" -- but it only holds around 20,000 people ... and judging by the massive response to his death, organizers feel they should be ready for a MUCH larger crowd.

The Coliseum holds roughly 80,000 people -- and the surrounding parks are capable of holding many, many more. It seems the most logical option at this point.

The Rose Bowl was also brought up as a possible venue -- since it holds nearly 91,000 -- but we're told Pasadena is just too far away.

Our sources say no official decision has been made yet, but the conversation is underway. As for Kobe's funeral service, no decisions have been made about that either.

It could be some time before the memorial is booked because everyone in Kobe's immediate life is still shattered and reeling from the tragedy.

Kobe was just 41 when he died Sunday. His daughter, Gianna, who also passed away in the helicopter crash, was only 13.

Video After The Jump

WOODLAND, Calif. (KCRA/CNN) - A California father about to be freed from prison has been arrested in the decades-old killings of five of his infant children in a case the sheriff said has haunted his department.

Five children less than 6 months old are believed to have died at the hands of their father, 57-year-old Paul Perez. He is charged with torturing his children before killing them, according to Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig.

“This is not a day that will bring joy to any one of us,” said Yolo County Sheriff Tom Lopez. “In my 40 years in law enforcement, I cannot think of a case more disturbing than this one.”

Perez is accused of killing the children between 1992 and 2001. He was just days from being released from prison when his DNA was matched with evidence in the cold case of infant Nikko Lee Perez, whom a fisherman found dead in an irrigation slough in 2007.

The baby, who was wrapped in a Winnie the Pooh blanket, suffered multiple fractures of his skull, ribs and left leg before he died, according to the autopsy report. It wasn’t until October that DNA technology was able to identify him.

With Nikko’s DNA, authorities were able to create a list of potential siblings or parents, leading to the identification of Perez as the baby’s probable father.

“We’re here because, as seen in other cases around the nation, the science and power of DNA has shown that monsters and killers cannot hide forever any longer,” Reisig said.

Investigators soon learned Nikko, who had been born in 1996, had siblings. Kato Allen Perez, born in 1992, is known to be deceased, according to the sheriff’s office.

Three others – Mika Alena Perez, born in 1995; Nikko Lee Perez, born in 1997; and Kato Krow Perez, born in 2001 – are believed to be deceased, but their remains have not been located.

“Yes, it is unusual. There’s actually the first Kato, and then, there’s a Nikko and another Nikko and then, another Kato with a different middle name,” Lopez said. “So, that did raise suspicion on our part.”

Perez’s arraignment is set for Tuesday afternoon. He has a long criminal record for assault, car theft and manufacturing a deadly weapon while in prison.

“There’s absolutely no place in society for these kind of horrendous crimes against our children,” said Ed Medrano with the California Department of Justice.

Lopez says the investigation is not over. Among other leads, authorities are looking to see if Perez may have fathered more children that haven’t been identified yet.

Investigators have not identified the mothers of any of Perez’s children.

Juice WRLD had a massive cache of unreleased music when he died, and some of those songs could find their way onto a new album.

Sources close to Juice WRLD tell TMZ ... the rapper had about 2,000 unreleased tracks when he passed, and his team is discussing ways to pay tribute with his unheard work. We're told there are several ideas being floated around, including a posthumous album or music release.

Juice WRLD was constantly recording, whether at home or on the road. Our sources say he didn't do much besides ride his dirt bike and record music. Point is ... his creativity was flowing.

As you know, 26 of Juice's unreleased songs were leaked online last week, but they were quickly scrubbed from the Internet.

Our sources say most of Juice WRLD's music was kept under lock and key, but he would sometimes go to the studio and download tracks onto hard drives, and we're told his team believes that's what led to the leak.

TMZ broke the story ... Juice WRLD died last month from an accidental overdose of Oxycodone and codeine following a drug bust at Midway Airport in Chicago.

Scientists have confirmed exactly where the epicentre of the deadly coronavirus outbreak which has infected more than 2700 people and killed at least 81, began in Wuhan, China.

Experts from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said tests confirmed the virus first jumped from animals to humans inside the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in the heart of city, according to China’s state-owned Xinhua news agency.

The “wet” market which includes live animals for sale had been reported as the source of the outbreak, however samples now confirm that is the case after testing was carried out.

“Thirty-one of the 33 positive samples were collected from the western zone of the market, where booths of wildlife trading concentrated,” the CDC said.

“The result suggests that the novel coronavirus outbreak is highly relevant to the trading of the wild animals,” experts said.

Wildlife sold at the market for human consumption included wolf cubs, civet cats, bats, dogs, pigs, snakes, chickens, donkeys, badgers, bamboo rats, hedgehogs and deer. Wet markets place people and live and dead animals in close contact, making it easy for a virus to jump species.

The confirmation comes as China ramped up its sweeping efforts to contain the virus on Monday by extending its Lunar New Year holiday.

The end of the holiday period — China’s busiest travel season — was pushed back from Thursday to Sunday to “reduce mass gatherings” and “block the spread of the epidemic”, a Cabinet statement said.

Schools will also postpone reopening until further notice, it added.

Tens of millions of people had been due to crowd into planes, trains and buses to return to work after visiting their hometowns or tourist sites for the holiday.

But China’s health minister, Ma Xiaowei, has admitted the country is now entering a “crucial stage” where “the ability of the virus to spread is getting stronger.”

Kobe Bryant had already made plans for his daughter, Gianna -- AKA GiGi -- to follow in his legendary footsteps by filing to trademark her very own hoops nickname.

TMZ Sports obtained the paperwork Kobe filed for "Mambacita" on Dec. 30, 2019. Of course, the name is both a tip of the hat to GiGi's father -- the Black Mamba -- and also to her own growing prowess on the hardcourt.

According to the docs ... the plan was to put "Mambacita" on all sorts of sportswear -- shirts, shorts, hats, jerseys, sweatpants, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Kobe had started referring to his 13-year-old daughter by that handle on social media. In fact, one such post, back in November, is eerily poignant today. Kobe praised GiGi's offense, and also the defense of Alyssa Altobelli.

Alyssa, her mother and father -- Keri and John Altobelli -- all perished on the chopper Sunday. Alyssa, like GiGi, was a star player at Kobe's Mamba Academy.

Kobe ended the post by shouting out the "familiar fade" shot by his beloved daughter ... "#Mambacita."

The pilot of the helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant, his daughter & 6 other passengers got in big trouble with fog. They seemed to abort the trip & tried returning home, barely clearing one mountain range, but never slowed down, this according to the flight tracker & several experienced helicopter pilots in the L.A. area.

As we reported, the pilot had to circle near the Downtown L.A. area - near the L.A. Zoo - for 15 minutes because of bad weather ahead. As we reported, the LAPD had grounded its helicopter fleet because of fog at around the same time Kobe's helicopter took off.

The pilot was following a visual flight plan & was cleared by the tower to proceed north, toward Thousand Oaks where Kobe was taking his daughter for a basketball game. When he got to the Calabasas area, the fog became blinding.

The pilot was way too low - at 1,250 feet. The pilots we spoke with say it's clear based on the abrupt change on the flight tracker ... the pilot panicked & quickly ascended to 2,000 feet. We're told he cleared a mountain range by 100 feet.

The pilots we spoke with say based on the flight tracker & the accident scene, they believe the pilot felt he had cleared all of the mountains & was proceeding to head back when he hit another mountain. The pilot clearly did not know there were mountains ahead because he actually descended from 2,000 feet to 1,700 feet, presumably to go under the fog.

Even more baffling, we've been told the pilot was extremely experienced flying in that area -- and was even a flight instructor. One seasoned helicopter pilot told TMZ, he could not understand why Kobe's pilot would have maintained a speed of 161 knots in such dense fog. One of the benefits of a helicopter is you can go much slower - even 15 mph - to gingerly avoid terrain if you're uncertain.

Our sources say the chopper was sophisticated & had an altitude warning signal to pull up, but it was too late. He was doing 161 knots & didn't slow down. The helicopter hit the mountain at that speed.

Several of the pilots we spoke with say the pilot should have gone up to clear the fog, rather than down. To that end, we're told the pilot could have slowed down to almost a stop as he turned, but didn't.

Nicki Minaj‘s brother on Monday was sentenced to 25 years to life behind bars for repeatedly raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter.

Jelani Maraj learned his fate in a Long Island courtroom, following his conviction for predatory sexual assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

The sentence comes two years after a jury handed down the guilty verdict for the sexual abuse, which began in 2015.

The stepdaughter took the stand in the 2017 trial to testify that Maraj raped her in their Baldwin home while he was married to her mother.

Maraj denied the allegations, claiming the story was concocted to extort his famous younger sister.

MSNBC anchor Alison Morris apologized after a slip of the tongue made it sound as though she referred to the Los Angeles Lakers as the Los Angeles n-----s.

Morris, 40, was covering the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, when the slip-up occurred. The anchor was describing Bryant’s legendary career in Los Angeles when she appeared to use the racist slur.

Morris said, “It seems like he was just the kind of athlete, the kind of star that was perfectly cast on the Los Angeles —” MSNBC aired the slip-up in some markets and triggered a 15-second delay in others, according to Grabien News.

The moment caught a lot of attention online prompting Morris to issue an apology. Morris tweeted, “Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say ‘Nakers.’ Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused.”

Bryant, 41, and his daughter were two of nine victims who died in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, California. His shocking death triggered a series of memorials online from NBA fans, former competitors, President Trump, and Barack Obama.
