Video After The Jump

While their advisers continue to play a public relations game with the media and fans, both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao seem to be on the same page. The boxing world wants to see them once and for all settle who is the best boxer in the world today and they agree.

In an interview with Fighthype.com Mayweather said May 5, 2012 is the date the fight should happen.

"I been told the boy May 5th is open. Sign the contract," Mayweather said. "Losing is in Pacquiao's mind because he lost just last week. He lost to Marquez three times. May 5 is the date, sign the contract, I'm waiting. I can't be sitting waiting all day, you want to fight let's make it happen. I'm here, I'm waiting, what's going on? I can sign today. If I sign today you better sign tomorrow. You said you're a clean athlete and you said you'd take the test so let's do it."

Signing the contract is exactly what Pacquiao wants to do according to ABC-CNBNews.

"Negotiations are ongoing for my fight with Mayweather, but nothing is final," Pacquiao said. "Mayweather may be thinking, I can fight Pacquiao now because he had trouble against Marquez, and I was able to beat up Marquez."

RingTV is reporting that Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz, went to visit Mayweather at his gym last week and took pictures with the champ.

Top Rank boss Bob Arum told the Manilla Bulletin that he is in talks with two investment groups who want to stage the event. According to Arum the same groups are reportedly also in talks with Mayweather.

Mayweather is going solo,” said Arum, indicating that Money May will not be negotiating through Golden Boy Promotions.

"This is what boxing fans are waiting for," says Pacquiao.

The stumbling block that had prevented this mega-fight from happening in the past has been Mayweather's insistence that Pacquiao agree to Olympic-style drug testing. That no longer appears to be a hurdle.

"For two years, Manny Pacquiao has said that he would agree to random, Olympic-style drug testing. Manny Pacquiao has said that he would do it," Arum claims.

There is also the issue of a lawsuit Pacquiao filed in 2009 against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather, Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions executives Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer for defamation of character. Arum indicated that could be worked out.

"[The lawsuit] is not a problem. That's something that could probably get worked out as part of a negotiation."

Bow Wow has issued a statement denying a news report that he owes the IRS a grip of money.

According to TMZ, the Cash Money rapper owes $91,105.61 in unpaid taxas for the year 2006, but Bow Wow insists the report is bogus.

"TMZ saying they are about to runa story on me thats once again “Not True” as im sitting in my beautiful condo as of RIGHT NOW that they said i dont have anymore. (Bow Wow with no home thats like a whore that doesn’t like d**k) We all know not to believe anything the media writes or blogs its their job to entertain the minds of the simple minded," he wrote on his blog.

He then goes on to explain why his new album Underrated isn't coming out this year as originally planned.

"I hear yall jokes 'His sh*t aint never droppin' it is dropping. When I Feel like its right tho. My album sounds nothing like what you've heard come out of the camp PERIOD so far."

With so many artists on the YMCMB team it's inevitable that some album release dates may get shifted around. Bow Wow insists that isn't the case for him.

"I know yall want this album just as much as i want to deliver it. The thing is tour just ended like 3 n half weeks ago. I left studio to tour which of course set me back. I have to mix all the records which i have just now kinda started. "Sweat" video will be out in a week or 2," Bow Wow writes. "Took a minute to finalize all the graphics and detail because of the CGI effects. Also dont forget im stil working on my tv sitcom with Ice Cube as well. I think people forget i got 2 jobs (Rapper/Ator) hahaha.. Record just went to radio as well. Not only that but im trying to get India Irie to sing on "Boy Or Girl" being that that sample you are hearing on that record is her. I figured it would be so meaningful and better with her apart of it live. Its taking so long because im putting my all into it. This is not just an album its my pain my life my story me in the now how im feeling."

TLC's T-Boz Files For Bankruptcy

12349095464?profile=original

T-Boz has filed for bankruptcy according to a new report from TMZ.

According to the report, documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court show that the TLC singer is in debt to the tune of $768,642.99, stemming primarily from the mortgage on her $1.2 million dollar crib.

TLC enjoyed huge success throughout the 90's with the albums Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip, CrazySexyCool and FanMail. All of which sold at least 4 million copies. 2002's album 3D was released seven months after the death of group member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. It went on to sell two million copies worldwide.

TMZ reports that part of T-Boz's financial woes can be attributed to the $250,000 in back child support she is trying to collect.

All you need to succeed in the music game today is Twitter and a loving Aunt. Aspiring producer, ODizzy Beatz has much to be thankful for this past holiday weekend. For one, his Aunt reached out to 50 Cent via Twitter in regards to her nephew’s music skills. She wrote:

@MissRaquiba: @50cent "I need you to meet my nephew @ODizzyBeatz his music/beatz are off the chain #welcometotheD”.

The ever-active Twitter celeb in 50 responded with a retweet and added: “I just picked one of his tracks.

12349103885?profile=original

Judging from the exposure to 50’s 5,252,130 Twitter followers, you can guess that ODizzy’s life is on high right now. We reached out to the upstart producer to get his reaction to the tweet that could be his big break.

VIBE: Did you know that your aunt shouted you out to 50 Cent?

ODizzy : I actually didn't know that my aunt tweeted 50. It wasn't a surprise though because ever since she joined Twitter she's been tweeting celebs as if she knows them [Laughs].

Where were you when you heard he selected one of your beats?
I was still in bed around noon when I read the tweet. I was half sleep and thought I was tripping when I saw he replied back and said he just picked one of my tracks.

Do you know which one he picked?
I actually don't know what beat he selected yet. I've been in contact with G-Unit and their A&Rs for over a year now. I’ve been submitting them music for a lil bit. So something crazy I'm sure.

Has he contacted you yet?
I haven't been contacted as of now.

What does his co-sign mean for your confidence/career?
At this stage in the game, a co-sign means a lot to new artists and producers. Honestly, I've been waiting on a co-sign or a "stamp" ever since I’ve started producing. I always had confidence and knew that I had a good sound. But I was just anticipating the day the right person in the right position would agree and feel the same way I always did. The feeling is indescribable.

How long have you been making music?
I've been making beats/producing for 9 years.

Where are you from?
I'm from Detroit, MI.

What are you going get your aunt for Christmas, haha?
As soon as I saw the Twitter exchange between them, I yelled out loud, "WERE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!" But, I don't know what I'll get her for certain...something nice though.

Video After The Jump

Does Miley Cyrus love marijuana? She seems to admit as much in a new video that is making it's way around the internet.

In the clip Miley can be seen dancing to 50 Cent's "In Da Club" before grabbing the mic to comment on the Bob Marley cake that was presented to her for her 19th birthday.

"You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake," said the former Disney princess. "You know you smoke way too much f*cking weed."

The scene reminded many of the video that surfaced last year of the "Hannah Montana" star smoking salvia shortly after her 18th birthday.

A rep for the singer was quick to issue a statement defending Miley.

The cake was a joke and Miley was being sarcastic,” the rep told Access Hollywood on Sunday. “It is being completely taken out of context.

Kelly Osbourne, who organized the event also tried to do damage control via Twitter.

"Let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE!" she wrote. "The cake was also A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not! U guys if @MileyCyrus is not recording/filming/touring she is works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think."

Check out the video below and judge for yourself.

50 Cent is dead serious about wanting to feed one billion people in need. He doesn't want fans getting distracted from helping him reach that goal by getting caught up in whether or not he has issues with T.I.

Fif touched on the subject today via Twitter. He said he spoke with Tip last night. While he didn't reveal what was discussed, he did remind fans that Street King and helping those less fortunate is much more important than any beef.

"Look how much you fools have been tweeting about me and @tip I spoke to him last night you sh*t heads should be tweeting about street king," 50 wrote. "You know I try to do the right thing. I'm starting to feel like good guys finish last. You talk more about sh*t that can go bad then positive things."

An unlikely Twitter spat went down yesterday between one of America's musical icons, Cher, and fans/associates of Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj.

The war of words was sparked when one of Cher's followers messaged her asking if she had heard a song by Nicki that was dissing her.

@cher did you know that b*tch @NICKIMINAJ dissed you in her song DIDITONEM,” asked the fan.

The lyrics in question are from Minaj's song "Did It On 'Em" in which she raps, “If you could turn back time--Cher/You used to be here but now you gone--Nair.

The song wasn't a Cher diss and it's highly likely Cher has never listened to it, but she replied back to the fan by writing, “Ive seen lots of people come & go! No biggie!

That was all Team Minaj needed to see before they launched an attack on the singer. Nicki's friend/hype man Scaff Beezy responded quickly.

"Yo @cher listen to the words b4 you say dumb sh*t on twitter," he wrote. "Do you know what a rap metaphore is??? TM is a cult you dont want it with!!"

One she realized she wasn't being dissed in the song Cher apologized. “U R right ! Someone said I was dissed..I’ve been dissed b4,but instead of finding out I just got defensive ! I should know better.

The argument should have ended there, but it didn't as people continued to insult Cher who finally got fed up. “Gimme a fkn break! Said I was dumb!" she wrote before deleting her tweets.

Nicki got wind of what was going on and messaged Cher, writing "@Cher #stopit5."

Meanwhile, Scaff Beezy continued to rant. Check out a play-by-play of what happened courtesy of Rap-Up.

The fall of former Bad Boy artists continues.

Amir Junaid Muhadith aka Loon has been arrested in Belgium on charges of heroin distribution. According to Parlemento, the former rapper was in Brussels to give a lecture. He was detained at the request of the United States under the Patriot Act, following a May 2011 indictment that alleges he “knowingly and intentionally” possessed with intent to distribute at least one kilogram of heroin in North Carolina between early 2006 and September 2008.

A copy of the indictment was posted on the website DDotOMen on Friday November 25.

Loon enjoyed musical success between 1999 and 2003. First as a part of Ma$e's Harlem World group before going solo. He was featured on Diddy's hit record "I Need A Girl Pt.1" in 2001. In 2003 he released his self titled debut album which featured the song "Down For Me."

Born Chauncey Lamont Hawkins, Loon converted to Islam in 2008 and legally changed his name.

Via Associated Press

NEW YORK -- NBA owners and players reached a tentative agreement early Saturday to end the 149-day lockout and hope to begin the delayed season on Christmas Day.

Neither side provided many specifics but said the only words players and fans wanted to hear.

"We want to play basketball," NBA commissioner David Stern said.

12349103278?profile=originalBilly Hunter and David Stern

After a secret meeting earlier this week, the sides met for more than 15 hours Friday, working to try to save the season. This handshake deal, however, still must be ratified by both owners and players.

Stern said it was "subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations, but we're optimistic that will all come to pass and that the NBA season will begin Dec. 25."

Barring a change in scheduling, the 2011-12 season will open with the Boston Celtics at New York Knicks, followed by Miami at Dallas in an NBA finals rematch before MVP Derrick Rose and Chicago close the tripleheader against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.

The league plans a 66-game season and aims to open training camps Dec. 9. Stern has said it would take about 30 days from an agreement to playing the first game.

"All I feel right now is 'finally,'" Dwyane Wade told The Associated Press.

Just 12 days after talks broke down and Stern declared the NBA could be headed to a "nuclear winter," he sat next to union executive director Billy Hunter to announce the deal.

"We thought it was in both of our interest to try to reach a resolution and save the game and to be able to provide the mind of superb entertainment the NBA historically has provided," Hunter said.

A majority on each side is needed to approve the agreement. The NBA needs votes from 15 of 29 owners. (The league owns the New Orleans Hornets.)

Stern said the labor committee plans to discuss the agreement later Saturday and expects them to endorse it and recommend to the full board.

The union needs a simple majority of its 430-plus members. That process is a bit more complicated after the players dissolved the union Nov. 14. Now, they must drop their antitrust lawsuit in Minnesota and reform the union before voting on the deal.

Because the union disbanded, a new collective bargaining agreement can only be completed once the union has reformed. Drug testing and other issues still must be negotiated between the league and the players.

"We're very pleased we've come this far," Stern said. "There's still a lot of work to be done."

The settlement first was reported by CBSSports.com.

Participating in the talks for the league were Stern, deputy commissioner Adam Silver, Spurs owner Peter Holt, the chairman of the labor relations committee, and attorneys Rick Buchanan and Dan Rube.

12349103699?profile=original

The players were represented by executive director Billy Hunter, president Derek Fisher, vice president Maurice Evans, attorney Ron Klempner and economist Kevin Murphy.

Owners locked out the players July 1 and the sides spent most of the summer and fall battling over the division of revenues and other changes owners wanted in a new collective bargaining agreement. They said they lost hundreds of millions of dollars in each year of the former deal, ratified in 2005, and they wanted a system where the big-market teams wouldn't have the ability to outspend their smaller counterparts.

Players fought against those changes, not wanting to see any teams taken out of the market when they became free agents.

"This was not an easy agreement for anyone. The owners came in having suffered substantial losses and feeling the system wasn't working fairly across all teams," Silver said. "I certainly know the players had strong views about expectations in terms of what they should be getting from the system. It required a lot of compromise from both parties' part, and I think that's what we saw today."

But it was never easy. The day required multiple calls with the owners' labor relations committee, all the while knowing another breakdown in talks would mean not only the loss of the Christmas schedule but also throw the entire season in jeopardy.

Stern said that despite some "bumps" Friday evening, "the greater good required us to knock ourselves out and come to this tentative understanding."

He denied the litigation was a factor in accelerating a deal, but things happened relatively quickly after the players filed a suit that could have won them some $6 billion in damages if the court ruled the lockout was illegal.

"For us the litigation is something that just has to be dealt with," Stern said. "It was not the reason for the settlement. The reason for the settlement was we've got fans, we've got players who would like to play and we've got others who are dependent on us. And it's always been our goal to reach a deal that was fair to both sides and get us playing as soon as possible, but that took a little time."

And led to the second shortened season in NBA history, joining the 1998-99 lockout that reduced the schedule to 50 games. This time the league will miss 16 games off the normal schedule.
