(Fox 5) Federal documents obtained by FOX 5 News the day after a raid on an Atlanta apartment owned by Terrell Davis, also known by his rapper name Ralo, gives a better understanding for what agents agents were searching.

In an affidavit filed to the U.S. District Court allege that in addition to Davis being a hip-hop music artist, he is also the leader of a criminal street gang called "Famerica" who federal agents said is responsible for smuggling a little less than $2 million worth of marijuana from California to Georgia. The "Famgoon," as federal documents suggest the gang refers to themselves, made at least two known cross-country run using charters flights.

The first delivery returned to Fulton County Airport around 5 a.m. on December 22, according to the affidavit. A surveillance team set up by the Georgia State Patrol, ATL, and FBI spotted Davis and others transferring 37 packages wrapped in white holiday paper from the jet to a van registered to Davis, according to documents.

The van was stopped shortly after leaving the airport. Officials said they seized 520 pounds of marijuana worth about $1 million on the street, according to documents. Kevin "K" Harp and two other unnamed people were arrested, all wearing "Famerica" and "Famgoon" clothing, according to officials. Agents said they also recovered identification documents for Davis in the van.

The next day, federal agents noted Davis posted on his Instagram: "I've lost more than a man have gained in a lifetime...Have you ever lost ah million dollars at one time???" Pictures also on that same account showed Davis

This past weekend, federal agents said they were tipped off that the "Famgoon" was making another run. The flight was originally scheduled to land at Cobb County International Airport but was changed mid-flight to Peachtree-DeKalb Airport, according to federal documents. State and federal agents moved in once the plane landed around 5 a.m. Sunday. State and federal agents seized 444 pounds of marijuana worth about $840,000 on the street and arrested nine people, according to the affidavit.

Agents said they arrested Davis along with Williams "Chaos" Rhodes, Brenton "OG" Mitchell, Antoine "Shonuff" Morrison, Quintavis "Drakko" Scott, Bilal Muhummad, Michael "Cutt" Hunnicutt, Christian "K" Harp, and Shanquita Potts.

Wednesday, state and federal agents raided an apartment complex on Lucile Avenue who friends of Davis said he bought a little more than a year ago to give his friends a place to stay. Investigators have not yet released what was found inside the complex.

Davis and the other eight suspects remained in the DeKalb County Jail Thursday.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada boxing regulators gave Canelo Alvarez a reduced penalty for doping violations Wednesday, potentially allowing him to return to the ring in September against Gennady Golovkin.

Alvarez was given a six-month suspension instead of the standard one year for first-time violators. His May 5 fight with Golovkin was called off earlier because of the doping, but with the Nevada Athletic Commission suspension retroactive to February he would be available for a possible fight with Triple G on the traditional Mexican Independence Day weekend in September.

Golovkin, meanwhile, announced Wednesday he would fight Vanes Martirosyan in Carson, California, on the May 5 date he was supposed to meet Alvarez.

Caroline Bateman, a Nevada deputy attorney general, suggested a punishment of six months from the day of Alvarez’s first positive test on Feb. 17. She said Alvarez also must undergo drug tests, but added no fine was recommended because past fines have been based on future purses.

Bateman said during the commission meeting that Alvarez has been cooperative since testing positive, which was a contributing factor in handing down a punishment less than the standard disciplinary sanction of one year.

“The only input from the Triple G side, because we feel Triple G is the most damaged person in the situation scrambling to save the May 5 date, it would have been nice to see Canelo getting a fine,” said Golovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler, who attended the hearing. “But we respect the commission’s ruling.”

Alvarez wasn’t present at the meeting.

“I hope he’s learned a lesson, that he is responsible with what he puts in his body,” commission Chairman Anthony Marnell said. “And I hope to see him fighting in Nevada soon. If he follows the agreement as it’s laid out then he would be able to come back and fight like any other fighter.”

Alvarez was supposed to face Golovkin for his unified middleweight title next month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, but the fight was called off after the commission issued a complaint against Alvarez for testing positive to the banned performance-enhancing drug clenbuterol in his hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico.

The fight would have been a rematch of their bout last September, where Alvarez got a controversial draw in a fight many thought Golovkin had clearly won.

Alvarez blamed contaminated beef in Mexico for his positive test and vowed to plead his case before the commission. But with Alvarez suspended because of the positive test and so little time between the hearing and the fight promoters decided to cancel the bout.

“Although most professional sports, international anti-doping agencies and United States boxing commissions treat meat contamination differently from other positive tests, Nevada does not. Canelo and Golden Boy Promotions respect the rules of Nevada and are therefore satisfied with the settlement agreement reached today,” Golden Boy Promotions said in a statement issued after the meeting.

Alvarez had been a steady attraction in Las Vegas on the Cinco De Mayo weekend, and a consistent star on pay-per-view. The red-headed fighter is one of the most recognizable athletes in Mexico and one of the country’s biggest sports heroes.

“Canelo looks forward to returning to the ring in September for Mexican Independence Day weekend to represent Mexico and boxing in what will be the sport’s biggest event of the year,” Golden Boy’s statement said. “He is ready to continue his remarkable record of fighting at the highest level.”

Loeffler said Golovkin could be ready for a September date with Alvarez. But he said Golovkin must focus first on his upcoming fight.

“Right now, we’re focused on May 5,” Loeffler said. “If Triple G doesn’t win May 5, there’s no talk about a Canelo rematch in the future. If Triple G is successful May 5, then the biggest fight in the sport of boxing is still Triple G and Canelo, and that’s the fight we would try to make.”

(Local 10) FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - South Florida rap star Kodak Black is a lot closer to being released from jail than he was yesterday.

Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, had charges of gun and marijuana possession, as well as neglecting a child, dropped Tuesday.

Those charges stemmed from a January raid on his home following a live social media video that appeared to show people using marijuana and holding a handgun near an infant.

Octave, who has been in jail since Jan. 18, entered an open plea in court today to previous charges of violating probation while driving with a suspended license and associating with people engaged in criminal activity. He was sentenced to 364 days in jail, with credit for time-served.

Octave will now be released from jail in six months.

In addition, when Octave is released as early as October, he will be off probation and free to resume his career without any court supervision.

D.A. Rejects Rape Case Against Too $hort

12352899898?profile=original

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has rejected a rape case against Too $hort, according to TMZ.

Teana Louis sued the 51-year old rapper, born Todd Shaw, in January, claiming he sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions ... between June and October of 2016.

The D.A.'s office reviewed the case and decided not to pursue it, saying it couldn't be proven that the sex wasn't consensual. $hort insisted all along that Louis was just looking for a payday.
