Denequia was born in Hollywood Florida on December 16, 1984 to Dennis Towns and Joyce Riley-Butler. Denequia started sining at the tender age of 4 years old. She joined her church choir at the age of 5 years old. Amazed at her vocal ability her choir director gave her a lead part sining" Yes, Jesus Loves Me" a song originally sung by the late Whitney Houston. Denequia sang so well and she surprised the church congregation with how strong and loud her voice was to be such a small young lady. She instantly won the churches favor as she was invited to sing a solo every Sunday after that. Denequia continued sining throughout her childhood in local talent shows and even in class at school. She was often asked by teachers to stop singing during instruction or quite time in class. Denequia blew her fellow classmates away when she sung at her middle school talent show and won. She sung in talent shows as often as she could in her mind she looked at it as practice for the day she'd actually become a Star. Denequia was a member of her high school choir at Hallandale Beach High School. The choir was led by Lowell Lampkin. Denequia loved music so much that for all of her high school career she had concert chorus, gospel choir and chorus 1 for first, second and third period. She traveled to colleges singing with her school choir as well as sig in the community more than often. Denequia is a singer/ songwriter who is destined for greatness in this music industry. She is determined to make a name for herself and show the world that she is talented and deserves a shot at proving her worth as an artist. unnamed.jpg?width=550

Report via TMZ -- At least 1 alleged victim of R. Kelly and families of 2 other alleged spoke Tuesday night, planning to present Chicago prosecutors with what they believe is sufficient evidence to prosecute the singer for sexual abuse and other crimes ... TMZ has learned.

We're told a family member of one of the alleged victims was the leader on the efforts, and he will put together an evidence packet for the Cook County State Attorney. As we reported, State Attorney Kim Foxx said Tuesday afternoon she was "sickened" by the Lifetime docuseries, "Surviving R. Kelly" and asked anyone who was a victim or has information about a victim to come forward.

An attorney for another alleged victim -- who does not live in Chicago -- made it clear she was going to contact the appropriate authorities on behalf of her client.

Those behind the efforts said they were fanning out to find other victims who would join their united front before presenting their cases to the State Attorney.

As of 6:30 PM Central Time, the State Attorney had received no calls from alleged victims.

As for the two women who are still living with R. Kelly -- Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary-- we're told they are hiring lawyers in an attempt to stop their parents from their efforts to reclaim their daughters and get them out of the singer's house. The parents have been leading the charge against R. Kelly and believe he's brainwashed their daughters

Atlanta Constitution Journal -- During a weather forecast Friday on Rochester station WHEC that showed a live shot of the city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, Kappell appeared to refer to the area as “Martin Luther Coon King Jr. Park,” the Democrat & Chronicle reported.

WHEC general manager Richard A. Reingold confirmed Kappell’s firing and apologized to viewers in a statement during Monday night’s broadcast.

“These words have no place on News10NBC’s air, and the fact that we broadcast them disheartens and disgusts me; that it was not caught immediately is inexcusable,” Reingold said. “I regret that we did not immediately interrupt our broadcast and apologize on the spot.”

Kappell has been the chief meteorologist since October 2017. In a video he posted to Facebook on Monday night, Kappell apologized and called the incident “a simple misunderstanding” and said he spoke too fast and “jumbled a couple of words.”

“If you watch me regularly you know that I contain a lot of information in my weathercast which forces me to speak fast and unfortunately, I spoke a little too fast when I was referencing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” Kappell said. “So fast that I jumbled a couple of words. In my mind I knew that I had mispronounced, but there was no malice, there was nothing I could have... I had no idea the way it had come across to many people. As soon as I mispronounced it I put an emphasis on King and had no idea what people could have interpreted that as and I know some people interpreted that the wrong way.”

Kappell said he was disappointed by his dismissal.

"I am ... extremely disappointed at the decisions made by my television station, who I expected a certain level of support from and I did not receive at all," he said in his Facebook video.

Daz Dillinger of the rap group Tha Dogg Pound could be staring at significant prison time after being indicted on two felony drug charges.

It could have been much worse, but prosecutors dropped 11 of the 13 charges against him.

Daz's legal trouble stems from a September of 2018 drug bust at his Powder Springs, Georgia home. During the raid police found 117 grams of weed, including in several cigarillo packets and a green mason jar, and a bunch of THC oil.

TMZ reports that the 45-year old rapper, born Delmar Drew Arnaud, could be facing as many as 25 years in prison if convicted.

Report Via TMZ -- Pablo Escobar's family needs your help to make another person disappear -- this time, it's President Trump they want out ... but, apparently, it'll be no cheap feat.

The brother of the deceased Colombian drug kingpin, Roberto (aka El Osito), has started a GoFundMe campaign seeking at least $50 million in donations to bolster his company's efforts to impeach the U.S. Prez. Sounds totally legit ... we're listening.

Roberto and his associates at Escobar Inc. are soliciting anyone and everyone to kick in cash toward their crowdfunding page to finance "intelligence research, lobby firms and lawyers" that could ultimately lead to Trump's downfall in Congress. Hmmmmm ... yes, go on.

Roberto claims he's already got dirt on Trump from previous alleged business dealings between DT and the Escobar company ... among other things. Roberto says his dirty secrets on Trump are something Special Counsel Robert Mueller would wanna hear.

He sounds pretty confident in himself, saying, "I am the brother of a Latino hero, I have eliminated many people from power ... Trump will be impeached." We'll give him this ... the Escobars have definitely (allegedly) gotten rid of some folks in their day.

Maybe it's just us, but it's weird that Roberto and co. are asking for a cool $50 mil to fund this project if they've already got the goods on Trump.

Help them if you're so inclined.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Governor Bill Haslam has granted executive clemency to Cyntoia Brown by commuting her life sentence.

The governor's office announced the decision Monday morning. She will be released to parole supervision on August 7, 2019, after serving 15 years in prison.

“This decision comes after careful consideration of what is a tragic and complex case,” Haslam said. “Cyntoia Brown committed, by her own admission, a horrific crime at the age of 16. Yet, imposing a life sentence on a juvenile that would require her to serve at least 51 years before even being eligible for parole consideration is too harsh, especially in light of the extraordinary steps Ms. Brown has taken to rebuild her life. Transformation should be accompanied by hope. So, I am commuting Ms. Brown’s sentence, subject to certain conditions.”

As part of her parole, she cannot violate any state or federal laws and will be subject to a release plan approved by the Tennessee Department of Correction and special supervision conditions, including employment, education, counseling, and community engagement requirements.

Brown's parole supervision will continue until August 7, 2029, at which point her sentence will expire.

She released the following statement in-part.

"Thank you, Governor Haslam, for your act of mercy in giving me a second chance. I will do everything I can to justify your faith in me."

Nashville Mayor David Briley released the following statement, in part:

"I am deeply grateful to Governor Haslam for his decision to commute the sentence of Cyntoia Brown today. He has yet again demonstrated that mercy, redemption and forgiveness have an important place in our democracy and criminal justice system."

State Senator-elect Brenda Gilmore thanked Haslam for being "courageous in the face of a serious decision."

In 2006, Brown was convicted of first-degree murder, felony murder and aggravated robbery in the killing of Antioch realtor Johnny Allen. She was sentenced to life in prison. At the time of the crime, she was 16-years-old.

Advocates have said that Brown, now 30, was a victim of sex trafficking and shot the 43-year-old in self-defense.

However, friends of Allen have said that Brown's story has progressively gained support over the years, while his friends and family are rarely heard from.

"I am deeply disappointed and ashamed in Gov. Haslam's decision to grant Cyntoia Brown clemency for her premeditated murder of my friend, Johnny Allen. Her clemency bid was based on lies and slander against a good man. My heart goes out to his family which is now facing the failure of our justice system in the face of mob activism," Allen's friend Ben Lamb said.

Back in December, Haslam granted clemency to 11 people but Brown was not one of them.

Introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Michael Neely former label executive, former Def Jam A&R I have been in the business of music going on 30 plus yrs now. I have developed and mentor many artists from country music to rap, and hip-hop, also r&b.

What kind of job were you doing before you decided to get into the music business?

I was working at  McDonald’s in Decatur Ga on the corner of Glenn-wood Ave and Columbia Dr as a grill manager.

What made you get into the music industry?

I grew up in Atlanta Ga during the early 90s during the time when music was alive, I started out as a freelance bodyguard for a few Atlanta favorite, Kenny Diamond from V100, James Smart, and I work with off and on with a young man by the name of AL Hayman who was the first person to give me a chance (Omni arena their artist there was Heavy D, Queen Latifa, Digital Underground, McLyte)

Name some of the artists you have worked with?

ABC (Another Bad Creation ), Salaam The All Mighty, Bam Bam, Kebo Cyrus,Justin Blake Cma, BizzyBone, Dave Holister, Twista, Do or Die, Raz B, Dougie Fresh, Men At Large, Bizzare (d12) Webbie, Lloyd, KeKe Wyatt,112,Ja Rule,Ludacriss,8Ball&MJG,Bone Thugs N Harmony,  Too short, Lil Flip, Flava Flav,  Juvinile, Webbie, TrillVill, Lil Kim, Chico BB.King, Public Announcement, JoJo&KC, DMX,BG, Whodini, Slim From CashMoney, David Banner, Debarge, LiL Boosie, these are just to name a few.

How did Def Jam find you?

I knew a few of them was on my social media page, but I really did not think about it until I got the call from one of the executives of the label, who then spoke to me about becoming one of the AnR rep for the label.

When did you start becoming an A&R for Def Jam?

I was asked to be an A&R for #Defjam in February 2016 and which was a dream of mine come true because I always wanted to be an A&R for a major label.

What are you doing now since you let Def jam go?

I am a music consultant and a motivational speaker and i am also the CEO of an indie label called  www.AMGmusic.net ; and also an online magazine called Xs10magazine - issuu.com/xs10magazine

What was your reaction when they asked you to become one?

I thought one of my friends was playing a trick on me because they knew that is what I wanted to do as a job in the music industry

What were you doing when you got that call from Def Jam?

I was playing video games with my son and telling him to stop cheating on the game

So is being in the music business as hard as people say it is?

Music is what you make of it, if you choose not to follow direction then, of course, it will be hard for you. But in my case music is a passion of mine from long ago and I enjoy its ups and downs when it comes to the business of music in all aspects of it.

What do you think about the Illuminati?

HHHHMMMM … I don’t know, I don’t look to know who they are

So since you was with Def Jam as an A&R what were you doing then?

I have been mentoring a few upcoming artists and leading them in the right direction when it comes to being successful in the music industry.

So when you are not working with Def Jam on your days off what are you doing?

I am a music consultant for a few companies and I own my own business which is a marketing and promotion company based out of Atlanta Ga.

What advice can you give some of today’s artist?

Invest in your craft and don’t listen to another artist cause please remember you are his compaction, and music artist listen to the wrong people when it comes to getting noticed and heard by the music industry

How can our reader reach you?

Report Via TMZ -- O.J. Mayo is close to losing his massive, million dollar mansion in Milwaukee ... 'cause the bank claims the ex-NBA star hasn't made a payment in 10 months ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Here's what we know ... O.J. bought a $1.8 million home in Wisconsin after inking a 3-year, $24 million deal with the Bucks in 2013. At the time, Mayo took out a loan for $1.26 million to help pay for the crib.

The place is SICK -- 9,200 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, home theater and private gym.

But, according to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports ... Mayo stopped making payments in April 2018 while still owing $1,137,302.42 on his mortgage.

A few months later, the bank foreclosed on the house to get their dough back.

The bank tried to serve Mayo with court documents several times -- but they were unsuccessful. Eventually, Mayo's trainer told a process server that O.J. is currently playing overseas in China.

It's unlikely Mayo is hard up for the cash since he reportedly made $45 MILLION during his 8 years in the NBA before getting hit with a ban for violating the league's anti-drug policy in 2016.

We've reached out to Mayo for comment ... so far, no word back.

1. Where are we talking from today?

I'm in hometown Bronx, New York as of right now.

2. Since you live in New York did you go see the ball drop for New Years?

NOBODY thats from New York, goes to see the Ball Drop LOL! .. I have never been like most New Yorkers.

3. Why did you rebrand yourself and your artist name?

I felt like it was time for change, I changed my circle around me, my energy and even my sound along with it because I felt it was time to due so. Look at the time we living in EVERYTHING around us has changed. I wanted to appeal more.

4. Do you keep up with politics and what is your take on it currently?

I wouldn't say I keep up with politics but I am well aware of whats going on in this world as I said, "Look at the time we living in." It doesn't shock me to see what's going on with Trump and the way he has been going with things. I try to limit my opinions because that is not my platform. I do vote and make sure I stay aware of whats going on in the media and with our government.

5. What artists are you listening to right now?

I have been listening to alot of Gunna, Lil Baby ... Drake always stays in my playlist LOL! ; 21 Savage a lot of Young Jeezy too even though its been a minute since we got something new, but I love to go back, dig in the crates!

6. Name 1-2 highly influential musicians that you listen to & respect?

I gotta say Drake & Gunna .. Let me cheat and add Kanye in to there too Drake and Ye gotta make up man music need it.

7.  When it comes to how the music enthusiast listens to your album do you prefer they buy or stream and why?

I believe a fan that actually goes out and buy is a TRUE believer in your craft and a appreciator of music because that's the old fashion way of doing things versus paying that 10$ a month and streaming whatever. Both are respectively great ways of support so as long as the fans are getting what they want I don't care how they get it.

8.  Do you have an album/EP out now that readers should check out or are you about releasing singles?

On my Soundcloud "Ki-On" I have a total of three projects and a couple singles/freestyles up but I have so much more coming in the works as we speak.

9. Music wise, what are you working on?

Right now im gear to release the very delayed LOL! but worth waiting for Album of mine HEFE, which in translation means Boss. I will soon be dropping my New Single "What I Like" so just stay on the lookout.

Yes, soon as the album is released stay tuned to my Social Media accounts to find out about any upcoming dates and appearances that are set to come.
