Rapper and Nashville native David "Young Buck" Brown was arrested in Cheatham County on a fugitive of justice charge for child abandonment out of Georgia.
Brown was taken into custody on Dec. 20 after an officer pulled over a driver of a black Ford F-150 who appeared to be talking on his cell phone while driving. The officer identified the driver and Brown, who was a passenger.
The officer said the vehicle smelled like marijuana when he approached it. When asked by the officer if there was marijuana in the truck, Brown reportedly handed him a rolled joint and said it was his.
A computer check through dispatch showed Brown had a full extradition warrant out of Newton County, Georgia for child abandonment. Brown was placed in custody before police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.
During the search, officers found a clear baggy containing approximately three grams of marijuana on the passenger side of the vehicle. Brown told an officer that he tried to hand him the baggy, but it fell between the seat.
Police said Brown was not charged with the marijuana because he was possibly being extradited to Georgia and "very cooperative." A property receipt was written out and the marijuana was placed in a drop box.
Brown was taken to the Cheatham County Jail where he was held without bond.

Kanye West's legal drama with EMI is NOT going away ... cause the once close-to-being-done case over a contract dispute is suddenly and officially back on.
According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ ... the judge in the case has signed off on EMI's request to officially reopen the case. EMI -- which has been battling Kanye in federal court over his publishing deal since earlier this year -- back in September told the court it and Kanye had struck "an agreement in principle" to settle the case.
The court then tossed the suit with prejudice but said the case could be reopened if either party showed good cause. The deadline to reopen the case was December 27 ... so just a few days ago, EMI's lawyers wrote a letter to the judge saying "unfortunately the parties have been unable to finalize the terms of the settlement agreement."
Translation: the deal fell apart ... so it's back to square one.
TMZ broke the story ... Kanye first sued EMI in California claiming his contracts with the publishing company amounted to "servitude." But, EMI fired back ... saying Cali's "servitude" law doesn't apply because NY laws -- not Cali's -- govern the deal.
Rich Homie Quan is off the hook in his seemingly endless drug case.
According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... the drug case against the rapper has been tossed. RHQ's lawyer, Lucy Bell, tells TMZ it was dismissed due to a lack of evidence. Bell says the "tiny amount of marijuana" was in somebody else's pocket and RHQ was wrongfully accused. We've reached out to prosecutors to confirm that ... so far, no word back.
TMZ broke the story ... Rich Homie Quan and his crew were busted back in May 2017 in Wadley, GA on suspicion of a stolen gun and drugs. A few days later, the weapons charge was dropped but he was booked on felony possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
If convicted, he faced up to THIRTY YEARS in prison. But, Homie don't play that .. lucky for him, the case was officially dropped after the judge signed off.

Nashville police on Wednesday arrested a man suspected of fatally stabbing two men last week, including Clayton Beathard, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback C.J. Beathard.
Police arrested Michael D. Mosley, 23, in coordination with U.S. Marshal’s officers after surrounding a vacant home in a Cheatham County, Tenn. neighborhood, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. He was alone in the home at the time of his arrest, police said.
Mosley was expected to be booked on suspicion of two counts of criminal homicide and one count of attempted criminal homicide, police said.
Photos shared by Nashville police show Mosley, shoe-less, wearing a gray tank-top, shorts and white socks in front of an armored police vehicle and in the back of a patrol car.
His arrest comes four days after police say Clayton Beathard, 22, and Paul Trapeni III, 21, were both stabbed to death outside of Dogwood Bar & Grill in Nashville early Saturday morning. Both men died after they were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A third stabbing victim, a 21-year-old man, was treated and released. The man is “recovering from wounds to his arm and eye,” officials said.
Nashville police said Mosley and the victims got into an argument over a woman inside the bar and the altercation “became physical when the parties went outside” shortly after 3 a.m.
“The investigation shows that Mosley made unwanted advancements toward a woman inside the bar, who was a friend of the victims,’” police said in a statement. “That led to a verbal dispute and then a physical fight once the parties made it outside. The investigation shows that Mosley was armed with a sharp object during the fight, which was used to stab the two victims.”
On the day of the stabbing, Mosley had been freed on $5,000 bond for allegedly attacking a 37-year-old woman at a Walmart in Nashville in December 2018, police said.
His previous convictions include: two counts of robbery in February 2018; two counts of felony aggravated assault for stabbing a man and cutting a woman in May 2015; and two separate burglaries in 2014 and 2015.

2020 is starting to buzz in the underground with artists promoting their new year single, album and video releases. One of those artists we are especially looking forward too, is Young Pok, and his January 1st release of the project "Wats My Name?"...and we have had the pleasure of getting an exclusive, pre-release listen.
Young Pok delivers for a way in HipHop that we haven't had the pleasure of hearing the way we'd like to, Lyrically. Bar for bar, his style is original, with delivery catered to the beat. Each line holding the true essence of "ripping the mic," and the content is created by a wordsmith for the listeners ears. Aside from all of that, we enjoyed that the project was filled with street poetry laced with creativity and not half ass-ed lyrics drowned out by hard 808's and over saturated with autotune. Again,...true HipHop.
As we received an exclusive listen we don't want to go to heavy into details other than to say, "Wats My Name" features 10 tracks with something for everybody,..a great HipHop catalog that drops January 1st, 2020....and if you are wondering where the real "spitters" are at....you can start to fill the void with Young Pok!
In the meantime....you can checkout previous music from Young Pok @
