A lot of people have taken notice of Rosa Acosta's new short haircut. Many speculated she was following the fashion trend set by Amber Rose. However according to her, the short cut was out of necessity..

The video vixen confessed to Bossip that her hair has been falling out for over ten years and her scalp needs treatment to fix the problem.

I didn’t have to ask permission from anyone to cut my hair. However, due the overwhelming response I felt it was only right to address my condition. I love hair, most women do. There is certain femininity in the hair but it doesn’t stop there, it’s about your mannerisms the way you talk, the way you walk they way you carry your self. People have demanded an answer about why I cut my hair while insinuating that as if it was going to destroy me in some way. The truth is I cut my hair because my hair is falling out and has been for over a decade and I needed to began my treatments again, “says Rosa

Rosa obviously isn't an insecure person feeling the need to wear a wig out in public during this difficult time.

I encourage other people out there with a hair loss problem to accept your reality and make the most of it. For what I do, I feel like I’m a bad bitch and I don’t need hair to make me. When I want to wear the hair I will. But for now, the most important thing for me to do is go through my treatments to make my scalp healthy which will intern give me a healthy head of hair.”

Best of luck Rosa, you're still a dime.

A Whole Lot of Plus

If you’re always following the latest clothing design just to be in fashion --- DON’T. This could cost you a lot of bucks. But if you really want to be in fashion that badly, there’s a better option and that’s going for jeans. Jeans are always IN. Besides, jeans are comfortable and stylish. Agree?

Branded jeans are luxurious, only those who can afford can really buy a good pair. But who says, you can’t buy a good pair of non-branded jeans? There are definitely a lot of wholesale jeans stores online, which sure offers a bundle of jeans at a cheaper cost. Why go for wholesale? Since you’re having a bulk order of jeans, retailers grant discounts, making your shopping experience more cost-effective.

Another advantage in having non-branded jeans is that you can style them up and establish your own brand. Just imagine having your own clothing line. Or you can start your own wholesale business. Either way, you’re sure to make the most of your time and mone

While promoting her Oscar-winning turn in "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire," Mo'Nique admitted that she had been molested by her older brother, Gerald Imes, when she was a child.

On Monday (April 19), Imes sat down on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to talk about the incident and apologize to his superstar sister.

"I'm here today to first acknowledge that I've been in denial for 37 years. ... I did assault and inappropriately touch my sister in manners that were uncomfortable for her," Imes said on the show. "And for that, I apologize and I'm humbly sorry that those actions had taken place."

Imes admitted that the abuse of his younger sister stemmed from his issues with drugs and alcohol. "The drugs weren't an excuse. They just allowed me and afforded me the opportunity to do the things that were in the back of my mind as a kid that I always wanted to do," he said. "Most of the time, the abuse that I did with my sister took place while she was asleep [or] the appearance that she was asleep.

"I hid my own molestation and pain and guilt and shame, because I thought it was my fault that these things happened to me," he continued. "So I internalized that, and I hid behind the drugs and alcohol and then that spiraling thing in my mind, as a child, I wanted to express my sexuality, so I took it out on my sister."

For many decades, Imes didn't own up to his actions. "The hardest part for me was even to admit to her I did something wrong," he said. "I downplayed it by saying, 'If you think I did it ... .' There's no more 'if you think' — I did it. I did it. I'm not proud of it. Mo'Nique, I'm sorry. I can only hope that by coming forth today that somewhere along the line with the apology that, yes, hopefully somewhere, somehow as siblings we can come back together.

"I'm doing this to apologize to my sister, to hopefully bring back some family unity," he added. "I'm doing this to publicly acknowledge. Now let's bring our family back together."

Imes, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for molesting another person, said he also apologized to the other victim. As for Mo'Nique publicly addressing the abuse, he said, "I'm proud that she was able to finally get to a place that she could relinquish her pain. When she made the comment that I was the individual contributing to her role, I had to look at her and say, 'I really understand her pain.'

After a nearly two-month hospitalization, legendary rapper Guru (best known as the frontman for Gangstarr) died Monday morning (April 19), after a long battle with cancer, reports DJPremierBlog.com.

He was just 43 years old.

Solar, Guru's business partner and sidekick in recent years, told the Yo!Raps (who's PR company had been coordinating press for Guru since his hospitalization) that the 43-year-old rapper had been suffering from a "malicious illness for over a year and after numerous special treatments under the supervision of medical specialists failed".

He had tried to keep the cancer diagnosis private, but in early March, news leaked that Guru had been admitted to the hospital, suffered a heart attack, and was recovering from a mystery illness. Previous reports said he suffered from Anoxia, effects from a lengthy history of asthma and lung problems, but these new findings reveal a much worst condition.

"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar said in a statement. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius.

"For the fans that reached out with love and support, I can't tell you how much that meant to Guru and myself. Guru prepared this letter (read below) while he was in the hospital for the fans," the producer continued. "I hope now that Guru has moved on to a better place."

According to Yo! Raps, Guru penned this letter to fans, explaining his illness while in the hospital with terminal cancer. Read it below in its entirety:

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.

I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. I hope that our music will receive the attention it deserves as it is some of the best work I have done and represents some of the best years of my life
."

Guru (real name: Keith Elam) rose to fame in the 80s as the frontman to the legendary rap duo, Gangstarr, also consisting of DJ Premier. The group released the classic single, "Words I Manifest," which was followed by their critically acclaimed debut, No More Mr. Nice Guy, in 1989. The group went on to release six official albums through 2003, before they split and went their separate ways.

Guru went on to found 7 Grand Records, partnering with producer Solar, and embarked on a solo career.

Since falling ill, there's been a lot of controversy over news of his hospitalization. Family members of Guru publicly claimed that Solar had taken over control of the rapper's decision making and had even barred them from visiting. The only official statements being released from the veteran rapper were relayed through his longtime partner Solar, which raised eyebrows from former Guru collaborators and friends. Solar, however, publicly denied claims of any malicious intentions and was only following the rapper's instructions.

Unfortunately, Guru never got well enough to clear things up himself.

On Monday (April 19) when Guru passed away, so did a piece of hip-hop. He'll forever go down in history as one of the best MCs to ever do it. Rest in peace GURU!

Kelis wants to be legally divorced from Nas so bad -- and so quick -- she has filed papers with the court asking them to make the split official ASAP.

According to documents filed last week, Kelis said in a declaration, "... it would be in the best interest of both of us if our marital status is terminated as soon as possible."

Because she fears that the legal proceedings could take years to figure out, Kelis has requested that the judge immediately terminate their marriage -- and wait until a later time to resolve "all other issues."

As for the odds that the two will rekindle their romance -- Kelis stated, "I believe there is no possibility of reconciliation with [Nas]."

WHEN US reality type Kim Kardashian posted a picture on Twitter yesterday of her holding an uncomfortable looking cat by the scruff of the neck, a flood of hateful messages followed.

Many too expletive-laden for us to use, suffice to say the "Twitterverse" wasn't happy.

"This is hot!!!!!!!.... Just don't let PETA get an eye of this cuz it look like that kitty is in pain," one fan wrote (with perfect grammar clearly).

TMZ reported Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A. as saying: "It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time" but "the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals."

The controversial pic was taken at a photo shoot in Sydney this week, with Kim posting "good kitty cat!" under the snap.

Confidential asked the RSPCA's Michael Beatty for his take on the puss's predicament.

"To be honest, we probably handle them like that most of the time," Beatty said.

"But if it's a larger cat, we'd put the hand under the rump. She's at least half right."

Yesterday Kardashian looked serene and calm on the outside but inside was anything but when asked about recent reports that she had moved on from long-time beau, gridiron player Reggie Bush, and been spied kissing Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The cable TV starlet, who is going into her fifth series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in the US and has become a gossip magazine favourite, has been flown out to Australia to promote a new Optus product, the Motoblur.

But it was social networking of another kind that was on Confidential's mind when we met up with the curvy 29-year-old at The Winery yesterday.

When asked about her break-up with Bush she said: "We're great friends. We broke up in March but there's no drama. It's so crazy because people always want to make it dramatic but there really wasn't an issue, we just didn't spend as much time as we used to together. We are focused on work."

And when asked about reports she'd been spotted kissing soccer star Ronaldo a week ago she refused to comment: "I've kissed about 1000 people this week, according to US tabloids."

Rapper 50 Cent will show fans his family heritage as part of an upcoming VH1 “Rock Dock” titled 50’s Roots.

According to rep’s for VH1, 50 Cent will head to the dep south in search of his family’s slave lineage.

During the show, the South Jamaica, Queens-raised rapper will meet with living family members, while attempting to learn more about his ancestral heritage.

The “Rock Doc” is being produced in conjunction with 50 Cent and Roadside Entertainment and is part of a massive new slate of programming VH1 is unveiling for 2010.

The new programming reflects a study VH1 conducted, to gain insight into what viewers of the network actually wanted to see.

"They told us that they want to connect even more with our characters, our artists and our celebrities – but in a more genuine way,” said Tom Calderone, President of VH1. “They still enjoy VH1's signature sense of fun and irreverence, but they also want more storylines that reflect the issues and challenges they are experiencing in their own lives.”

VH1 is a unit of Viacom, which also owns MTV Networks, which aired 50 Cent’s first reality show, 50 Cent: The Money and The Power.

An airdate for 50’s Roots was not available as of press time.

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- In Chris Harrison's ideal world, mobile phones would be the size of matchbooks. They'd have full-size keyboards. They'd browse the Web. They'd play videos.
And, most importantly, you'd never have to touch them.

Sound like too much to ask? Maybe not.

Harrison, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University and a former intern at Microsoft Research, has developed a working prototype of a system called Skinput that does just that, essentially by turning a person's hand and forearm into a keyboard and screen.

"People don't love the iPhone keyboard. They use them. But they don't love them," Harrison said in a interview at the recent Computer-Human Interaction conference. "If you could make the iPhone keyboard as big as an arm -- that would be huge."

Using Skinput, a person could tap their thumb and middle finger together to answer a call; touch their forearm to go to the next track on a music player; or flick the center of their palm to select a menu item.

All of these sign-language-like movements, which are customizable, would control a gadget in a person's pocket through a Bluetooth connection.

When fitted with a pico-projector, the Skinput system could display an image of a digital keyboard on a person's forearm. So, using Skinput, someone could send text messages by tapping his or her arm in certain places -- without pulling the phone out of a pocket or purse.

"You could pretty much do a lot of what you do on your iPhone," said Harrison, who says Skinput "is [like having] your iPhone on your palm."

The system, which has been under development for eight months, won't be commercially available for two to seven years, said Dan Morris, a Microsoft researcher who is working with Harrison on Skinput.

Before that can happen, Skinput's sensors need to get more accurate, he said. In a 13-person trial in Seattle, Washington, Skinput was found to be 96 percent accurate. But that test only used five buttons. The system would have to improve for people to make use of a full keyboard, which would be the "holy grail," Morris said.

"The accuracy is good, but it's not quite consumer-level yet," he said.

Skinput is one of a number of prototypes, ideas and near-products aiming to make computing more natural.

These devices seek to move beyond the mouse and physical keyboard, letting people communicate with their gadgets by gesturing, using sign language or, in the case of Skinput, tapping on their hands, fingers and forearms.

The arm as an instrument
Understanding how Skinput works makes it seem all the more futuristic.

The system turns a person's arm and hand into a wiggling, pulsating instrument, full of vibrations that can be picked up and translated.

Skinput users wear an armband -- the prototype version is made of an elbow brace -- that's lined with 10 sensors. These sensors look like tiny diving boards with dumbbells on one end, and they pick up inaudible sounds that range in frequency from 25 to 78 hertz.

When a Skinput user taps a thumb and middle finger together, the impact sends ripples down the skin and through the bones in the person's arm. "They sort of start resonating -- like guitar strings," Harrison said. The diving-board receivers read the sound waves to figure out what gesture the person made, and then relay that information to a phone.

Skinput can tell whether a person tapped a middle finger or an index finger, because the two moves sound slightly different to the springy receivers.

The system takes one or two minutes to learn the sounds of a particular person's arm, Morris said, and then it can be used however the user likes.

Trial and error
When they started working on Skinput, Morris and Harrison weren't sure if it would be possible to turn the human arm into a virtual keypad. The pair tried clipping sensors to the ends of peoples' fingers and other strange configurations that made users feel like cyborgs.

"We spent a lot of nights in the lab tapping on our arms and wondering if this would ever happen," Harrison said.

But the most profound achievement of Skinput is proving that the human body can be used as a sensor, he said.

Morris believes Skinput will make computing accessible to people in a way that never would have been possible before.

With Skinput, "literally, computing is always available," he said.

A person might walk toward their home, Harrison said, tap their palm to unlock the door and then tap some virtual buttons on their arms to turn on the TV and start flipping through channels.

"It's almost like magic," he said.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - A Milwaukee County courtroom erupted into violence and screaming after a Wisconsin man was sentenced to life in prison without parole Friday morning.

Three deputies tackled 19-year-old Seandell Jackson and sprayed him with pepper spray after he became enraged by the sentence and glared at the victim's family.

Meanwhile, Jackson's family turned to the victim's family and began yelling, "We hate you, we hate you, God is the judge."

Jackson was convicted in Feburary of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted robbery in the death of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student Nathan Potter in July.

Christina Aguilera may be a mom, but that by no means puts her in the mood to tone down her look or music videos. In fact, Aguilera says her new album, "Bionic" promotes the fact that she feels "sexier than ever".

Referencing her son, Max, and the maturity that comes with being a mom on the set of "Not Myself Tonight"(video), Aguilera said "[Having a baby] makes you appreciate your body in ways you never knew existed prior. It’s a comfort level with your body. Maturity. Having wisdom and the knowledge you didn’t have in your early 20’s and not know quite how things work yet. Mmmm. (laughs) And how to get the best of them. So, with age, comes those lessons and those growing moments.”

According to GMTV, who was granted access to the anticipated shoot for "Not Myself Tonight" earlier this month, Aguilera is back and ready to play with a new deck of cards.

"[I've been] going through that whole growing cycle of being a mom, where with age, I know now exactly what I want," Aguilera told the UK based program. "I have a better understanding of exactly how to get it... I feel sexier than I ever have."

In related news, Christina Aguilera is slated to tape an episode of VH1Storytellers and perform during Toyota's Summer Concert series, the latter airing on the 'Today Show' in June.
