Who is the world's highest earning celebrity? Which power couple dominates the entertainment world? What pop star commands the most searches on the Internet? The new Guinness World Records 2011 edition out now reveals all this and more in its celebrity-filled pages. As one of the most talked about pop stars in recent memory, it should come as no surprise that Lady Gaga earned two records for the new book – "Most Searched-For Female" on Google and "Most Weeks On UK Chart In Any Year" with an astounding 154 weeks. Gaga shares her place in the new book alongside two of music's superstars – Jay-Z and Beyonce. Named the year's biggest "Power Couple", Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Beyonce Knowles earned an astounding $122 million through June 2009. Two celebrities this year making headlines for their high profile personal lives also made the book. Lindsey Lohan, takes the dubious honor as "Most Infamous Female Celebrity" thanks to her run-ins with the law and the unfortunate performances of her latest movies and Tiger Woods, who ruled the tabloids for his extramarital affairs, didn't see an impact on his earnings yet as he assumes his place as the "Most Powerful Sports Star". The golf phenom raked in an impressive $103 million and topped the 2010 BusinessWeek Sports Power 100 list. Miley Cyrus, a celebrity who has toed the line between controversy and a thriving career success, also enters into the book as the "Most Charted Teenager". The singer/actor, scored her 29th US Hot 100 chart entry on November 7, 2009 with "Party in the USA". "Where else would Sarah Palin be beaten by Lady Gaga than in the Guinness World Records book! Gaga – who takes over from Palin as the most searched for female on the internet – is just one of the new big names to make it into the Guinness World Records book this year. She joins a stellar cast including Lindsay Lohan, A-Rod, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Brangelina, the Khardashians, and so on, in our most celeb-packed edition yet. These recession-proof stars guarantee to bring a bit of glamour to our book. Their artistic endeavors – and their influence over the public are indisputable," said Craig Glenday, Editor-In-Chief, Guinness World Records. Although Twilight fans may take sides on Team Jacob or Team Edward one thing they can agree upon is that their favorite movie has made into the Guinness World Records book. In November 2009, the Twilight sequel New Moon eclipsed The Dark Knight to achieve the "Highest Opening Day Gross" of $72.7 million. In tribute to the "King of Pop", the new Guinness World Records book features a special page devoted to Michael Jackson. The untimely death of MJ made the entertainer the "Most Searched-For Male" on the web and earned him several posthumous records reinforcing his spot at the top of the entertainment world. MJ, a fan of the Guinness World Records book, is a multiple record holder receiving eight over his lifetime for his chart achievements, album sales, earnings and charity donations. Toronto rapper Drake has a vast knowledge of music stored in his brain. His tastes range from hip hop to rock and r&b. So it should come as no surprise that his own music is not confined to one genre. On his debut album, 'Thank Me Later', Drizzy easily moved from spitting raps to singing entire r&b flavored joints throughout the album. In recent weeks, Drake revealed his love for fallen pop angel Aaliyah, who died at age 22 in a plane crash. Penning an open letter to her on his website. "My love for her goes beyond anything. Maybe it's corny of me to like a girl's music so much. I wish I had the chance to meet her. I would've tried to marry her," Drake tells Rolling Stone in their upcoming issue. He also talked to RS about his admiration for guitar legend, Jimi Hendrix, who also died young, age 27. "We just left Seattle, where I played the Bumbershoot festival and visited Jimi Hendrix's memorial, I'm a huge fan," he explains. "I play the DVD of Hendrix at Woodstock to pump me up before I perform. Watching him go out there at 10 in the morning in shitty weather and conquer the crowd always gives me a little more adrenaline. I just left a little letter for Jimi at his grave," Drake says. "It wasn't a real letter. I just wrote him a message on a pack of Zig-Zags. It said, "Still inspired." That's what's up, now we'll have to wait and see if Drake drops another album this year as Mack Maine hinted to MTV a month ago. twitter-5d.gif

SANFORD, Fla. -- A day after Local 6 News first aired video of a father threatening to kill students on a Central Florida school bus, the TV station has obtained new video showing what motivated the rant. James Jones, of Sanford, was arrested Thursday on charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing a school function and booked into the Seminole County Jail. He was later released on bond. Jones said on Friday that his 13-year-old daughter is in the hospital, but he didn't say if it's related to the incident. Video shows Jones walking onto a school bus headed to Greenwood Lakes Middle School in Lake Mary last month and threatening students and the driver The day before the incident, his daughter was sitting near the back of the school bus, and new video obtained by Local 6 News shows a white object in the middle of the aisle of the bus. According to Jones and other students on the bus, the object was an unwrapped condom. The video shows a boy sitting behind James' daughter getting up from his seat and picking the condom up. The video then shows him move back to his seat carrying the condom and tossing it onto the girl's hair. As she struggled to pull it out, students aboard the bus erupt in laughter, the video shows. Jones said the video explains why he reacted the way he did, threatening to kill students. "I couldn't see myself letting my kids get disrespected in front of every other kid. That's what was going through my head," Jones said. Parents agree but said Jones crossed the line. "I can feel where he's coming from of why he was mad and said and did what he did, but I don't understand why he would attack another kid," Jason Tate, the father of a 6-year-old girl, said Thursday. Police met with the student and his parents Thursday and said it's up to the Joneses to decide whether to press charges against the boy, who could be charged with battery for flicking the victim in the ear. Video After The Jump Fabolous and Soulja Boy recently squashed their beef Fab had a chance to talk to MTV's RapFixLive about the situation. "The only reason I really wanted to speak to him [was] because of the threats that was involved," Fab said. "If you threaten me or someone threaten you, when you see them, you're reacting off of the threat, probably. Then that could escalate into something else, which I really didn't want, because Soulja Boy is 19, 20 years old and I'm grown. It's nothing cool about that to me." Funeral Fab thought the threats were uncharacteristic of the young Atlanta MC. "I never threatened him, and for him to make threats, I wanted to see if this was [really him]," Fab said. "I wasn't even sure if it was him at that point. I thought maybe somebody hacked his account. I just didn't know of that Soulja Boy. He was saying that he had heard certain things and people were telling [him], 'Yo, Fab's going at you.' He had heard things before that I said and he thought ... maybe for some reason that I didn't like him," When I spoke to him I [was like], 'Personally, I don't have nothin' against you. It was more something of me just cracking jokes. If it happened to anybody, I would have been cracking jokes on them. It just happened to happen to you.' " All is well that ends well though, the two of them talked it out like grown men. It's a good look for hip hop and for kids that looks up to artists. Showing them there is a better way to work out disagreements other than violence.

Video After The Jump Behind The Beats: Alchemist Alchemist pulled it off once again. Al, who rose to fame with his production for the likes of Mobb Deep, Lloyd Banks and Lil Wayne, has been prospering lately as Eminem's DJ. Em doesn't perform too much, so when a star of his caliber takes the stage, every show is high-profile. This month, Al was in the DJ booth during Em's Home and Home shows with Jay-Z in Detroit and in New York. "With the band now, it eases a little bit of the pressure," Al said. "My friends say, 'You're pressing play and stop.' I'll tell them, 'It's pressing play and stop; it's not the technical part of it. If you mess it up, it's a stop and go, but you better do it right on time.' It's like the pyro. The pyro guy can't be a second off. Somebody can get blown up. Em being the perfectionist he is, it was clear: 'All right, Al, when you're on the stage with Em, there's no room for error.' I respected that. I was like, 'Oh, that's gonna make me step my game up.' I'm watching his shows, before I was his DJ, looking at how his vocals were perfect. In sync, perfect. I felt like this is important. I took it real serious." Al said he, Eminem manager Paul Rosenberg and D12's Mr. Porter all give Em input on the show. "At first I was nervous. Like, 'This is one of the greatest of all time. It's nothing I can really tell him,' " Al thought back. "But as you vibe together, you get ideas. I would test the waters a little bit. He would listen, not always take your idea, but be open-minded. As we started rehearsing, I started implementing some of the stuff I'm known for." Paul and Em told Al to put some of his own flavor into the live sets. Fans got to hear some of that flavor during the Home and Home series. "It was 'The Way I Am,' " Alchemist explained. "It was an old version where they had Edie Brickell in it: 'What I am is what I am.' So ... I was like, 'We should bring it back when we play it live.' It was a reason they didn't use it on the original song. Maybe clearance or something. Stuff like that. Or at the end of 'Not Afraid,' when the band is breaking it down, I made them get the a cappella and I put in the 'Holla if you ... ' Start cutting that up. I think about [DJ] Premier a lot. I think about how to be subtle as a DJ. The band's up here, Em is running the show. I look at it as accents. I was around [DJ] Muggs for so many years. I got to see so many great people do it. Definitely try to think of what I saw through the years, be subtle and play my part. Add some flavor." Next Wave of Flav On Eminem and Slaughterhouse: "I didn't make the Recovery album. Shout-out to DJ Khalil, the big homie. He did, like, four joints on the album. Em's got him on the album. Mr. Porter made the album. Havoc made the album. It adds to me wanting to go even harder. I think what it was, that I'm so accustomed to making stuff for Mobb Deep or Dilated [Peoples] or the people in my immediate circle. Being around Em more, I'm starting to get it. People vibe, and we make the best music. Now that I'm around him more, there's talks of the Slaughterhouse project. I think that might be one of the first moments I might be able to pick up some dust." On Gang Green: "I got this project Gang Green with Oh No, a real good friend from the West Coast, a collaboration project we did together. We did the rhymes and beats together. It's like I'm almost going backwards. I've had my years when I tried to make big stuff after I had a little success. Now I'm gong back to the raw beats, making something every country can feel. Raekwon's on the joint. Guilty Simpson, Evidence, Fat Sean, a bunch of people I have relationships with." On Prodigy: "P comes home in February. It's gonna be a very busy time. It's amazing. He feels like he's home already. He's in the best health he's been in. He's really excited. I've been sending him beats. Havoc is sending him beats. I e-mail them to his wife, and she puts it on some type of cassette. It's like he's in the studio, he's just not recording." Source: MTV twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump (CNN) -- A 28-year-old woman who said an unknown assailant threw a cup of caustic liquid in her face has admitted her injuries were self-inflicted, Vancouver, Washington, police said Thursday. Bethany Storro was being interviewed by detectives, and whether she will be charged will be up to prosecutors, police said. "She is extremely upset," said police Commander Marla Schuman. "She is very remorseful. In many ways it got bigger than she expected." Police would not speculate on Storro's motives, only saying the August 30 incident did not occur as she described and that there were discrepancies in her account, including wearing sunglasses in the evening. They also had questions about the liquid's splash patterns on Storro's face. Officers acquired a search warrant and conducted a search Thursday morning. They removed several undisclosed items, but said they did not find a substance that might have caused her injuries. Vancouver had searched for an assailant, described as an African-American woman with an athletic build and slicked-back hair pulled into a pony tail. Storro was released from an Oregon hospital on September 5 after undergoing surgery for her injuries after the alleged attack. Police spent hundreds of hours on the case and the community came together to offer donations for Storro's treatment. "It has had an impact on our community," said Police Chief Clifford Cook. "It has brought negative attention on our community that is undeserved." Storro's family was also being interviewed, police said. They described her as being in a fragile mental state. Storro credited a new pair of sunglasses -- which she said she bought just 20 minutes before the attack -- with saving her eyesight. "God is watching over me," Storro, of Vancouver, told CNN affiliate KATU in Portland, Oregon, at the time. "I believe in him. That his hands are on me and I can't live the rest of my life like that -- in fear. I can't let what she did to me wreck my life." Storro told KATU that she had stopped at a Vancouver Starbucks about 7:15 p.m., just after she had gone back to buy a pair of sunglasses that she had seen earlier. The woman walked up to her and said, "Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?" When Storro declined, the woman threw the contents of the cup in her face and ran off, Storro claimed at the time. twitter-5d.gif

Rapper T.I. may have been sippin' on sizzurp after all the night of his felony drug possession arrest -- because cops say dude had the main ingredient, codeine, when he was busted. T.I.'s probation officer just filed documents in Georgia that say L.A. County Sheriff's deputies found codeine, marijuana and ecstasy in T.I.'s possession during the September 1 arrest. As we first reported, T.I. had several Styrofoam cups in his Maybach that night (pictured above). Sizzurp -- aka codeine syrup -- is commonly served in Styrofoam cups. The document also states that T.I. tested positive for opiates the day after the arrest, but does not name a specific drug. Neither marijuana nor ecstasy are opiates.

Two men and a woman broke into a locker at a Manhattan gym in February and stole credit cards, the first in a series of similar thefts. Three months later, in May, a young man tried to rob a Chase bank in the Bronx armed with only a note, which he slipped to a teller. She read it and stepped away, and he fled empty-handed. Weeks later, in June, a gunman robbed a Family Dollar store in Queens. Gym-locker heists, bank robberies, daylight holdups — these New York City crimes have only one thing in common, and it is not the culprits. It is the Yankees caps they wore. A curious phenomenon has emerged at the intersection of fashion, sports and crime: dozens of men and women who have robbed, beaten, stabbed and shot at their fellow New Yorkers have done so while wearing Yankees caps or clothing. One of the three suspects in the gym break-ins wore a blue Yankees cap. A security camera photographed the man who tried to rob the Bronx bank, and though his face was largely obscured, his Yankees hat was clearly visible. The Queens robbery suspect was last seen with a Yankees cap on his head. Gangsta rap link? In some ways, it is not surprising that Yankees attire is worn by both those who abide by the law and those who break it. The Yankees are one of the most famous franchises in sports, and their merchandise is widely available and hugely popular. But Yankees caps and clothing have dominated the crime blotter for so long, in so many parts of the city and in so many types of offenses, that it defies an easy explanation. Criminologists, sports marketing analysts, consumer psychologists and Yankees fans have developed their own theories, with some attributing the trend to the popularity of the caps among gangsta rappers and others wondering whether criminals are identifying with the team’s aura of money, power and success. Since 2000, more than 100 people who have been suspects or persons of interest in connection with serious crimes in New York City wore Yankees apparel at the time of the crimes or at the time of their arrest or arraignment. The tally is based on a review of New York Police Department news releases, surveillance video and images of robberies and other crimes, as well as police sketches and newspaper articles that described suspects’ clothing. No other sports team comes close. The Mets, forever in the shadow of their Bronx rivals, are perhaps grateful to be losing this one: only about a dozen people in the same review were found to be wearing Mets gear. “It’s a shame,” said Chuck Frantz, 57, the president of the 430-member Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club in Pennsylvania. “It makes us Yankees fans look like criminals, because of a few unfortunate people who probably don’t know the first thing about the Yankees.” The Yankees organization declined to comment for this article. Dwight Howard's troubles with his baby mama keep growing. TMZ is reporting that the basketball star is suing Royce Reed for $500,500,000 for talking trash about him to the media which is a violation of their court settlement. It's the latest of many recent public battles between the two. According to TMZ's report, the Orlando Magic star basketball player is claiming that his ex has leaked dirt on him to the media at least 11 times. His lawyers estimate those stories have reached 1,000,000 people, violating their 2009 gag order. Reed, who stars on the VH1 reality show "Basketball Wives" denies any wrongdoing. Her rep says the information leaked from legal documents which are "immune to any agreement made by the parties." Dwight and Royce's son is just two years old, I hope for his sake his parents learn to get along, but that doesn't seem likely. twitter-5d.gif

A doctor in Finland is facing sexual molestation charges after he sucked a patient's nipple in what he claims was an old midwives' trick used to diagnose a medical condition, the AFP reports. Lower courts had previously ruled that the doctor did not commit a crime when he asked for the patient's permission before he sucked her nipple. The prosecution and the patient appealed the ruling, however, and the case is reportedly set to go before the Finnish Supreme Court on Tuesday. The AFP reports that the 20-year-old woman visited her doctor in 2007, complaining that fluid had seeped from her nipple. The doctor testified that after obtaining the woman's permission, he used his mouth to suck her nipple to taste the fluid. The district and appeals courts in Finland had ruled that there was not enough evidence to charge the doctor with a crime because he obtained the patient's consent, according to the AFP. Video After The Jump The 2-year-old girl, with her too-big tank top slipping off of her left shoulder, stands and watches television as she puts a joint to her lips and takes a puff before waving her arm to fan away smoke and continuing to puff on the marijuana cigarette. The scene was caught on video using the mother’s cell phone – shot by the mother, a Hamilton County indictment Wednesday charges. Jessica Gamble, 21, of Springfield Township, was indicted on three felonies – corrupting another with drugs, child endangering and tampering with evidence – that carry a maximum prison sentence of 11½ years. “It’s beyond disgusting,” Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said of the video. “I would get very upset if I found out my 16-year-old daughter was drinking a beer.” Gamble is accused of making or encouraging her daughter to smoke the joint.

What’s quite disconcerting is she is handling this like she’s done this before,” Deters said of the child. At one point on the 1 minute, 37 second video shot in August, a voice believed to be Gamble’s tells the girl “Don’t blow on” the joint. After the child takes a few more puffs, the same voice asks, “What is that?” and then a hand grabs the child’s hand that is holding the joint. The person shooting the video – Gamble, the indictment alleges – takes the joint from the child’s fist and holds it up so it is in the middle of the image frame. Then she laughs. “It is disturbing to think that a parent would provide their 2-year-old child with marijuana,” Deters said. The child is living with a relative as Hamilton County Department of Jobs & Family Services investigates the incident. The tampering with evidence charge, Deters said, was the result of Gamble deleting the video from her cell phone. Before that happened, someone – Deters wouldn’t say who, noting that person is a key witness in the case – saw the video and was so disturbed at seeing the child smoking marijuana that the person forwarded the video to another cell phone. Then it was shown to officials at JFS, who contacted police. “I am very grateful for the person who brought this to our attention,” Deters said. Source: Cincinatti.com twitter-5d.gif
