The Barbz have gone mad. On Sunday (April 15), Nicki Minaj deactivated her Twitter account leaving millions of her fans and followers awaiting her comeback-- but that may not happen. After getting into a Twitter tiff with some of her followers, Nicki pulled the plug on her account. “Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f*cking bye,” she wrote. before vanishing from the social networking site.
Minutes before, Nicki had vowed to get rid of the account after she blocked a fan site that she accused of posting leaked music. DJLaz1.com (part of the Complex Network) managed to capture some screen grabs.
The offending site, NickiDaily.com is also down, stripped of all of it’s content with only the word “closed” posted. Instead of their Barbie-related content, the site just plays the somber sounding “Dear Old Nicki” in a loop. The track which appeared on Minaj’s 2010 debut is rather appropriate. On it she raps to her former self: “And tell me that you coming back that you just took a break/Maybe I blamed you for everything, that was my mistake.”
Whether NickiDaily was the exact reason that the Young Money star deleted her Twitter is unclear. There are few artists who have a closer relationship with her fans than Nicki, and fewer artists who are as big as her on Twitter. Last week the Harajuku Barbie landed the #1 album in the country with her sophomore effort Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded after selling 253,000 copies in its first week.
It was a mixed bag of reactions on Twitter:
“Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good fucking bye.”
“And that’s exactly why I’m paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh – don’t cry 4 me argentina.”

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg did their best to make fans forget about all other artists that preceded them at this year's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
After opening their set with "The Next Episode," "Kush," "Gin and Juice" and "Deep Cover," the duo started to bring out a long list of special guests.
Kurupt, Warren G, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem all had memorable segments during the more than one hour set.
Kurupt, Warren G and Snoop paid tribute to Nate Dogg during "Ain't No Fun." Wiz and Snoop would later perform "Young Wild and Free."
The party was just starting at that point as Dr Dre brought out Kendrick Lamar to perform "The Recipe." Then out of nowhere 50 Cent appeared with Tony Yayo as the duo ran through medley of hits that included "What Up Gangsta," "P.I.M.P." featuring Snoop and "In Da Club."
After showing some Cali appreciation with "California Love" Dre thrilled fans by welcoming a very realistic looking 3D hologram image of Tupac Shakur. The late rapper treated the crowd to performances of "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" featuring Snoop Dogg.
Eminem later came out to assist Dre with "I Need A Doctor," "Forgot About Dre" and "'Til I Collapse."
Snoop and Dre then took over to close the show with "Who Am I (What's My Name)" and "Still D.R.E."

Nicki Minaj has made no secret that she grew up in a very dysfunctional household, but her recent admission that she wanted to kill her father because he abused her mother has left him gutted.
During an interview last week on ABC's 'Nightline' show, Minaj told Juju Chang that her dad Omar was a dope fiend and alcoholic with a violent temper.
"We were afraid for my mother's life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst he would threaten to kill her." Nicki said "I wanted to kill [my dad]. I wished he was dead."
TMZ is reporting that family members are now coming to Omar's defense, insisting Nicki exaggerated the amount of violence in their household.
While admitting that he did have a bad temper, Omar claims things never reached the level Nicki described. Omar says he still loves his daughter despite the picture she is painting of him in the media.

A nude maid service promises to provide clients with a show and a spotless house, but local authorities are keeping an eye on the small business that's caused quite a stir in a conservative Texas town.
Melissa Borrett, 26, began Fantasy Maid Service of Lubbock as a way to make extra money. She charges customers $100 per hour to clean their homes, and at their request, she can do the dusting in lingerie or in the buff, ABC's "Good Morning America" reports.
The young entrepreneur started the service in February. Now, just a few months later, she has three other women working for her.
But while business is booming, Borrett's controversial start-up has caught the attention of the Lubbock Police Department.
Noting that the "sexually oriented business" doesn't have a permit to operate, police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said Borrett could face at a fine of $2,000, and additional charges for every day she continues to work without a permit, KCBD reports.
"Just the fact employees are topless or semi nude in this case -- it's just not allowed," Stewart told KCBD.
Company policy prohibits employees and customers from engaging in any physical or sexual contact.
"If a maid accepts tips for physical contact, she will be terminated immediately and the customer will not be able to schedule service with Lubbock Fantasy Maid Service again," according to the company's website.
Additionally, the company will not work topless or nude in the presence of persons under 18.
According to the Associated Press, the permit Borrett needs to obtain costs $650 per year and requires an additional $5,000 surety bond or letter of credit.
Responding to the threats from police, Borrett has said she will take legal action if the city attempts to shut down the business.
