Ask any rapper what they think of their skills and he or she will tell you they are the best ... period. That bravado or confidence is a part of the competitive nature of hip hop.

However, there are very few spitters that will compare themselves to Tupac Shakur. Much less, boldly proclaim that they are better than the late hip hop icon, who is widely considered to be the best to ever pick up a mic.

Apparently, Joey Bada$$ didn't get that memo. During a recent interview with Genius the 22-year old Brooklyn, New York native gave 2Pac props for being one of his influences, but added that a battle between them would be no competition.

"I already know I'm a better rapper that 2Pac is. That's just facts. One-on-one battle, I'll flame 'Pac," Joey said.

After criticism started to come his way for the comments, Joey took to his Twitter account to defend himself.

"When I said I was better than PAC (my favorite rapper of all time) I was refering to rap skill. Bar for bar. Not accolades or influence," he wrote. "And I back myself 1000 times to that fact... media like twisting up the words but that's I meant when I said it for all you butt hurt bozos. Being said that I’ll leave any further addressing to the #BadassDefenseSquad."

Kalief Browder committed suicide on June 6, 2015, at the age of 22, but in many ways he actually began slowly dying years prior.

Browder was arrested in May of 2010 in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 16 for allegedly stealing a backpack. Ordinarily, he would have been released right away because he was a juvenile, however because he was already on probation the judge in the case ordered Browder to be held in Rikers Island, with his bail set at $3500.

Unable to make bail, Browder spent three years in Rikers without a conviction. Two of those years he was held in solitary confinement.

Browder refused to take a plea deal, insisting he was innocent. While in jail he endured beatings by guards and other inmates. He attempted suicide six times while incarcerated.

In June of 2013, his case was dismissed without ever going to trial.

Jay Z wanted to she light on this tragic story. He partnered with the Weinstein Co. to produce a docu-series on Browder and the criminal justice system titled "Time: The Kalief Browder Story."

While his time in prison, Casanova 2X talks about spending nearly seven years getting into bloody fights, being forced into solitary confinement for three years and meeting his good friend Taxstone on Rikers Island. In this in-depth interview with DJ Vlad, the rapper says, though, he was written up for stabbing 3-4 people, he says in total it could have been 12 people during the melees that caught the sharp end of his weapon. Most would assume that would be enough to give the rapper the maximum punishment he says it wasn't until he was caught boofing (smuggling cocaine and razors in his anus) that led him to serve nearly three years in solitary confinement, causing him to lose his mind.

The Brooklynite says after his time in the box, he was released at the age of 27 and back on the streets for two months before getting locked up for a robbery he did not commit.

Donald Trump's successful presidential run might have opened the door for an Oval Office bid by one of America's most popular women.

During an interview on the season two premiere of "The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations" on Bloomberg Television, Oprah Winfrey, sounded like someone who would consider it.

"You ever thought that given the popularity you have. We haven't broken the glass ceiling yet for women, that you could actually run for president and actually be elected?" Rubenstein asked.

73792756?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

"I actually never thought that was ... I never considered the question. Even a possibility," Oprah said. "I just thought, 'Oh, oh.'"

"Because it's clear that you don't need government experience to be elected President of the United States," Rubinstein prodded.

"That's what I thought," special contributor to “60 Minutes" responded. "I thought, 'Oh gee, I don't have the experience. I don't know enough.' And now I'm thinking, 'Oh.'"

How do you think Oprah would fare if she ran for president in 2020?

Kodak Black was arrested and placed in Broward County Jail in Florida on Tuesday, February 28, for violating his probation.

TMZ reports that the 19-year old Pompano Beach, Florida native, born Dieuson Octave, left his house without permission twice (once to go to a strip club), and failed to complete his court ordered anger management program.

This latest legal setback comes just three months after the "No Flocking" rapper was released from jail after posting $100,000 bond in Florence, South Carolina, for a sexual battery case.

Kodak's label Atlantic Records released the following statement:

"We are sorry to hear about the recent circumstances surrounding Kodak Black. His lawyers are working diligently on this matter and are hopeful that this will be resolved by next week. The remainder of Kodak Black’s 'Back and Better' Tour has been postponed. Details on rescheduled tour dates forthcoming."
